Thank u! My best friend and I love stardew valley and I wanted to make him a painting of his favourite character, Abigail! I wanted it to be pixelated like the art style in Stardew Valley :]
When you say I have to calculate actually scared the creep out of me and right later u say dont let that scare you😂, girl how do you know we bad at math. You are really good at giving advices tho, the paintings took u 15 hours but I think it will take me at least 2 days to finish it🥲
I have a 16x20 canvas. My pixelated photo is 42 wide & 54 tall. I got 0.38 (W) x 0.37 (H) is that right? Where would i mark my ruler? Would it be 0.38" W × 0.37" H ? Im trying to do it asap bc its a gift for my sisters engagement party. Im using their photo of she & her fiancée showing off her ring saying "I said yes".
1. A lot of the time many pixels are the same color, or extremely close to the same color! 2. This happens pretty regularly for me. I have to remix the color to get as close of a match as I can.
Like for me I am good at maths but it’s just there is a lot of things that are confusing or I don’t know what to do in this. I want to do my drawing block size 7 on A4 But I can’t draw every individual pixel for starters and I also can’t know how many pixels I need. Could you please help me work it out?
@@Daniel-b1315 if you want to pixelate a regular photo, you can do it on a website called ‘Pixel It’ Then you have to count how many pixels tall and wide that new pixelated photo is Then divide the height and width of your paper/canvas by those numbers to get the size of each pixel So for example: If I have a 12x12 inch canvas and my reference image is 16x16 pixels: I take 12/16 = 0.75 And each pixel is 0.75 inches Do this except plug in your numbers!! Hope this is helpful
@@notgrace thanks but I have used the website already when I watched this video. Can you print out a grid with the exact pixel size you need it and how?

I think that’s right! You’d just mark out on all 4 sides every 0.38 and 0.37 respectively!
Plese make tutorials how to mark pixel lines
How much block size do you keep?😊
I'm gonna use graph paper then make the lines from there 😊

Hi, just watched ypur vid and maybe you could answer the question i jave right now hehehe. What will be the pixel calculation for 30X40 canvas
How many pixels wide/tall is your reference image?
Hiii 👋 can I use gesso instead of primer?😅
I don’t have any experience using gesso - but I would assume so! Just as long as you have a thin barrier between the grid and the paint
@@notgrace oh okay 👍😁
i like to draw pixel art
Do you mix new colors for every pixel? What do you do if you need the same color again at the end of the painting and you no longer have it?

I don’t get the math pls help
What part don’t you understand?

@@Daniel-b1315 I’ve never printed a grid before, I draw them! I use a ruler and a pencil
