Julian lara is the most polite person in the business
I gotta try Improved Pollock
Remember to schedule the band for the Father's day gig
@SleepyLizard... you need all the avocado varietys. 😁
Love the shirt!!!
I guess we are going to Miami again!!! Julian, please save me one!!
I definitely want to get into avocados.
Love the improved pollock that I bought from lara but Maria black is my favorite avocado so far. Kampong and brooks late very good
Great video
(I agree with Alex), Paul, you've gotta try a Nishikawa avocado. Amazing!
When i see these nice avocados i get jealous. Wish i could get some scions in Jamaica.
lol awesome review my guys
I'm so like your content about avocado. I'm just little farmer and beginner to plant avocado in backyard. Say hello from Indonesia. Thank so much your video 👍💪🌱☘🌿🌳🥑🥑🙏🙏
Green coca in hahaha
Best description ever😅😂
How far apart are the trees on your shirt? They look too close
That's funny 😂
Have you heard of any Hawaii varieties that do well in South Florida? I have grafted Sharwil to Catalina so I have both A and B types, hopefully I get fruit this year.
Tried the purple avocado recently from Lara farms. One of the better ones I have had. Do you have any experience with it?
So for my jungle and the first avocado tree of the farm gonna have to be improved polluck
❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you could only have 3-4 avocados total, to cover most of the year, what would they be?
Can you do a video describing your top 2-3 avocados for each season?
Actually, I heard your top picks at the end.
I'm trying to find more information about the Ronnie Avocado. There isnt a lot known about it. I bought a tree after tasting it.
GREEN COCAINE 😂
Im thinking Alex just sold me on a Catalina. Dupree is next on my hit list.
Both are great
Have you ever tried a Fuerte avocado? I live in San Diego and I have a Fuerte, lamb hass, GEM and Pinkerton avocado in the ground. Fuerte is by far the best avocado I’ve ever tasted.
I used to have it when I visited California.
A lot of the California (and Mexico) varieties do not do well in South Florida due to our rain and humidity.
Green Cocaine 😂
Guy knows his cocaine lol
Hello, could you possibly speculate as to what avocado variety you would choose for zone 12b? I will be driving down to Puerto Vallarta (where i have a big orchard) and would like to bring some tropical avocado varieties with me. You would think you could find various varieties here locally, but unfortunately you cannot. Furthermore, from the few avocado trees i have found locally, the fruit is not tasty. Thank you for any ideas you could offer.
hi, ask Julian and Lara Farms Miami he would know the best banana for you to grow in 12b
Paul how's your super hass doing do you like the improved pollock better than the super hass
I took out my super hass. Most of the fruit didn't ripen even. It tastes great but that won't work for me. I've also met other people with the same issue I wouldn't suggest it.
I have to add some mid seasons. Any scions?
Alex at Tropical Acres Farms has Scions
Im pretty tough, but im sinistive to some things. I want to be feiends with this guy!!
I’m confused Paul. Didn’t you say earlier in the video that Ora Negro was early but later in the video you said it’s late. Maybe I’ll check again. I need the fruit of a January to March, a fruit of a April to June and a June to September. Definitely I need a December to January. What can you recommend and which farms can I go to buy those fruit. I’m taking with my to Jamaica.
Oro Negro is late, dec/Jan.
@@FruitfulTrees OK. Thanks for reply Paul. What’s a good October/November advocado, please, Also February/March, April/May, June/July. I’ll need the seeds. Don’t mind waiting 8/10 years as that when I’ll be retiring to the property. I’ll try getting then into pots next year then in the ground a year later. The aim is to have advocado all year round. Can you make a specific video on this topic please. ALL YEAR ROUND ADVOCADO’s. Many thanks. I’m in love with your channel. I’ll try meet you one day. Watching from London 🇬🇧. Keep up the good work buddy.
@@lennieadi it's not just a matter of time on seedlings. You might get something completely different (i.e. doesn't taste like parent, doesn't ripen or grow in same way), or not get anything at all. Just go with grafted.
Do they ship to FL?
yes
Can this be grown in Northern California zone 9b ?
maybe but 9b may get forest and some varieties don't like the cold
Do you know who does avacado grafting here in palm Beach County, I have 2 trees that my wife started from seed and are now 4 feet tall.
Alex at Tropical Acres farms
Paul how does the Pollak compare with the Choqette?
different season pollak is early choqette is late. Pollak taste much better than Choquette
Thanks Paul,...I'm in Queensland Australia and have not came across a Pollack. I have a choquette, reed, fuerte, sir prise and bacon this bacon is loosing its leaves and may die?,...small yard.
I bought a Lara Pollock from Lara Farms. Is that the same as an Improved Pollock?
I just saw your banner (aka Lara Pollock). Glad to know I have one. 😊
If it's round, original Pollock is a huge fruit
yes
So Improved Pollock is the best. Then Dupuis is the best. But at the end Improved Pollock is the best, but not actually because Kampong and Oro Negro, which are winter-season avocados, are better. It seems everybody likes Dupuis a lot, and not just the people in this video. Carlos de la Torre (grower/researcher) of Homestead has said that Dupuis produces more fruit with the right pollinator. In conclusion, I guess the question of the best Florida avocado remains unanswered.
sorry for the confusion. I liked Dupuis the best. improved pollock was excellent
Can’t wait to see oro negro and Marcus pumpkin
oro Negro excellent. Marcus Pu
mpkin I don't care for
So you mention these are Florida avocados and not Mexican avocados like a Hass.
So are these even close to the great flavor and oil content of like a Hass? Or are the Mexican avocados on an entire higher level?
