    Hello, could you possibly speculate as to what avocado variety you would choose for zone 12b? I will be driving down to Puerto Vallarta (where i have a big orchard) and would like to bring some tropical avocado varieties with me. You would think you could find various varieties here locally, but unfortunately you cannot. Furthermore, from the few avocado trees i have found locally, the fruit is not tasty. Thank you for any ideas you could offer.

    • @FruitfulTrees
      @FruitfulTrees  8 месяцев назад

      I took out my super hass. Most of the fruit didn't ripen even. It tastes great but that won't work for me. I've also met other people with the same issue I wouldn't suggest it.

    I’m confused Paul. Didn’t you say earlier in the video that Ora Negro was early but later in the video you said it’s late. Maybe I’ll check again. I need the fruit of a January to March, a fruit of a April to June and a June to September. Definitely I need a December to January. What can you recommend and which farms can I go to buy those fruit. I’m taking with my to Jamaica.

      @@FruitfulTrees OK. Thanks for reply Paul. What’s a good October/November advocado, please, Also February/March, April/May, June/July. I’ll need the seeds. Don’t mind waiting 8/10 years as that when I’ll be retiring to the property. I’ll try getting then into pots next year then in the ground a year later. The aim is to have advocado all year round. Can you make a specific video on this topic please. ALL YEAR ROUND ADVOCADO’s. Many thanks. I’m in love with your channel. I’ll try meet you one day. Watching from London 🇬🇧. Keep up the good work buddy.

      @@lennieadi it's not just a matter of time on seedlings. You might get something completely different (i.e. doesn't taste like parent, doesn't ripen or grow in same way), or not get anything at all. Just go with grafted.

    So Improved Pollock is the best. Then Dupuis is the best. But at the end Improved Pollock is the best, but not actually because Kampong and Oro Negro, which are winter-season avocados, are better. It seems everybody likes Dupuis a lot, and not just the people in this video. Carlos de la Torre (grower/researcher) of Homestead has said that Dupuis produces more fruit with the right pollinator. In conclusion, I guess the question of the best Florida avocado remains unanswered.

    So you mention these are Florida avocados and not Mexican avocados like a Hass.
    So are these even close to the great flavor and oil content of like a Hass? Or are the Mexican avocados on an entire higher level?
