Hollywood is perhaps one of the only places in America where historically locations are torn down and replaced by new locations which become historical, then torn down again!
The building you show opposite the temple on Hollywood blvd. Is not the one lived in by stars like Shelley Winters. That one was called Peyton Hall, and it was torn down in the seventies and replaced by the one you show.

Not sure since it's in Beverly Hills and I've only been researching Hollywood. Wikipedia said it was last on the market in 2009.

Interesting...but correction . It was the late Eddie Fisher who busted up his marriage to Debbie Reynolds and seduced Elizabeth Taylor who erroneously got blamed for being a marriage wrecker. Elizabeth and Debbie finally made up and become good friends and in interviews they both give Eddie the thumbs down and put the blame where it should belong, on Fisher!
