This nostalgic video aged rather well huh Like to this day, the quality is not too bad, and I still love the sound of 3751's whistle, And also really like the sound of the E bell combo on that railroad crossing. Like dang, who knew that a High Pitched Siemens E Bell and a WCH E Bell would sound so darn good together lol
GREAT video - best angle you could get too with it being high noon and all. You even got a P42 GE "Whoop" sound effect in there just after the locomotives pass by...
@NebulaTrain99 Thanks! Several railfans were aboard! I'll have a new clip of this train posted Tomorrow, because it's running between San Bernardino and LA tomorrow and Sunday. Expect a few new vids before Sunday! :D
That couldn't be farther from the truth. Diesel is simply there to provide dynamic braking and HEP (head-end power) to the coaches and Amtrak requires it to ride their insurance policy.
@AmtrakSurfliner768 yeah well they dont send you anything unless you have made something. usually its like 10c per an ad click yes people must "click" the ads for you to get anything. and if they havent sent you any money thats because no one clicked on the ads.
@CoasterFan2105 RUclips is actually paying me to "Give their ads a popular home." I lucked out with views, so they chose my video for the ad's placement, so they're supposed to be sending me money for advertisement, but nothing yet. I think I was cheated.
Maybe three at the time. But i have 4: a Canon PowerShot a590 IS point and shoot a Sony DSC-h200 point and shoot a Nikon d3400 dslr camera and a Sony HDR-cx240 camcorder
This was made more than 10 years ago, yet the quality is still better than my camera!
This is so awesome! Definitely sound that whistle as loud as possible! That’s what I can call respect.

What a wonderful shot! I was on board that train enjoying the pleasant view of the ocean. I love hearing those crossing bells!
That's getting added to my favorites list, and it's a small list. Great job.

It came from the P42. (unit behind 3751)

@hamstertrain18 Thank you!
Nice Catch!
Its asame that steam locomotives are so old these days that there always has to be a diesel pushing it from behind.
guitaristjon94 don’t worry they usually don’t push the steam engine the just provide power for the cars and braking power
A western cullen bell and what bell is that on the left?
Safetran type 3 high pitched
@steven92336 lol, that's just a fan kicking on. Came from the P42DC.
@AmtrakSurfliner768 I love that sound!
