Going from one software to another is a pain....BUT... the left to right selection and right to left selection is just like AutoCAD. Thank you for that feature...So helpful
What would be really cool is if you had a feature in Lightburn that would automatically arrange everything you wanted to cut out to make for the best use of your material. Maybe the user could be able to put in the distance he wants to separate the objects. You gave me the idea when you said that you wanted to make the best use of the material. But then the whole idea may not be feasible. But it would be cool. By the way this is by far the best software I have ever used. Other software engineers need to adopt your philosophy.
Thank You!!!! Straight forward 7 minute blast is perfect. Learning to learn Light Burn in conjunction with my Jtech laser. I use InkScape, AI, Vectric V-Pro, CNCjs, and now Light Burn. I am very greatful that Light Burn is such a straight forward program as well as being a fantastic controller. Excited to finish the short videos off and focus on MACRO development. Anyone got MACRO videos or forum posts?
It works on laptops running MacOs, Windows, or Linux. Since Chromebooks are browser based it is not possible. However, some have installed a Linux Desktop on their Chromebook in a sort of dual boot environment which would work.
I have a really stupid question about LightBurn. When you show your page, your number coordinates are very clean and read able. On my page, the numbers are all garbled up and very hard to read. I have tried going thru all of the set-ups etc to try to get the page to look something neat and clean like your. I bet it is something simple I am over looking.. Thank you for your help.
Some of it may just come down to a difference in screen size/resolution. If you can take a screenshot of what your workspace coordinates are looking like and send them to support@lightburnsoftware.com we can take a further look.
I have question. How do you re-establish your point of origin? My point of origin is in the opposite corner of where I want it to be and can't seem to move my laser to it
Are there fully automatic arrange features in this program? I am looking for fully automatic arranging of various shaped objects in the most efficient way into a certain sized box - including rotating etc.
This is called nesting. It is not implemented into Lightburn yet but there is a couple open source utilities like SVGnest that can be used prior to bringing a file into lightburn.
When you look in the preview window can you see it doing two passes there? If you are still having issue reach out to our support team - support@lightburnsoftware.com
What start from mode are you using? If you have not yet I highly recommend watching our video on the different start from modes available in LightBurn ruclips.net/video/aphiLTUWcjE/видео.html If your machine doesnt have limit switches it will warn you. This can be disabled under device settings --> 'Enable Out Of Bounds Warning'
@@lightburnsoftware7189 When nesting parts in sigmanest they have a button bump and it will let you stack parts side by side without over lapping it keeps a gap/space between parts.

what would be really nice is to get light-burn to work in Chromebooks as well as laptops

Just a thought, but wouldn't it be an idea to make the selection box line colours different?
And a nesting function would be awesome.
I was thinking that when you select shapes from the top left corner it could be a red Square and from the buttom right it could be green.
By the way great work with the software. The kids at my school love it. Everyone think it's way easier to work with then RDworks that we used to use.
LightBurn Software that was exactly what I meant.
LightBurn Software thank you very much

Can someone help out? All of a sudden now when I change the passes in lightburn it will indicate the change, but will still do only one pass.
When you look in the preview window can you see it doing two passes there?

What does it mean when lightburn tells me my cut is out of bounds?
