    The Mega Clusterfuck line made me laugh so hard😂😂 great review even though the camera didn’t last long!

      The joy of having made a bargain has lasted longer than the camera has worked in the end. 😅

    I was gifted this camera and it died as soon as I loaded it. It ate my whole roll of Ektar whilst dying, so I still have mixed feelings about this mule 😂 after watching this I’m glad mine died quickly 😂 hilarious video man!

      Amazing. I now have 14 comments and with you now 3 people whose MC died in the shortest time. 😅 poor ektar. as always, thank you for your comment. 💪

    Thanks for this excellent video. I've been looking for a point and shoot since my other 35mm F2.8 cameras died. Everything is so expensive now! Except for this one. I guess I understand why now.

    I know these days it costs a lot, but I think you can't go wrong with the Olympus mju-1. Gruß...

    Very interesting review. Too bad you had bad luck with the purchase. The pictures with the red houses are really beautiful.

    Oh there were 1000 asa films. Kodak Ekaterinburg 1000 was a nice print film. 3M made a nice 1000 asa film. Agfa jumped on the bad wagon shortly after (1986). Then Fuji did a 1600 film and shortly after Konica dis a 3200.

      Thank you very much for the information. All of these movies were made before my time, so it's also difficult to find information about them online.

    I don't have a Canon MC but I do have a Canon Autoboy 2. Image quality is pretty good as long as you overexpose it by 1 or 2 stops with the ISO dial. If I set it to box speed for 400 film it comes out so underexposed that you can't even tell what the image was. So I shoot my 400 at 100 or 200. I haven't shot anything under 400 in it because I'm scared to waste another roll of film trying to figure out if it will work at box speed or not. Also, the sound is exactly the same as the MC. lol

    • @TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel
      @TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel  2 года назад +1

      The Canon MC simply looks like a Canon Autoboy 2 development. However, the autoboy would certainly have been the better choice. :D
      whereby your light meter is probably broken. This also often happens with canon cameras.

    I picked up one of these around 1990. I was going on my annual photo safari with MF gear to shoot landscapes in the SW USA, and I wanted to take a small automatic camera for snapshots along the way. I shot a couple of rolls. When I processed the film, my reaction was that it was not particularly sharp and all of the images suffered from obvious vignetting. Overall, a huge disappointment. I also discovered that as a early form of the technology, there are only a few focus points for the AF system, so even if you use the camera correctly, exact focus is a hit or miss situation. I tossed the MC on a shelf and forgot it until I saw this video. I wonder if I still have it, or I just tossed it out.

      It's a pity to hear that the pictures didn't turn out well. I also wonder how the canon engineers could accept such a quality. So I can't blame you for forgetting them somewhere. If you still have them you can sell them. It is still worth quite a bit in working condition.

      @@TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel I'm sure I didn't have much more than $50 invested in it. I only used it for the most casual of snapshots, i.e., for what it was intended, so no significant loss to photo history. Anything I placed a value on was being shot with a Pentax 67 system. It put me off these little automatic cameras for a few years, but when I tried again, I ended up with a Contax T2, purchased at a pre-hype price. Quality for these cameras has to be judged within their class IMO. A Nikon FG SLR with 50mm or 35mm basic lens is just as easy to use as a T2, is about 50% larger, and will blow it away optically.

      The film I used was Kodak Gold 200. It’s one of my favorite films to shoot with. It has a warm and nostalgic look that I love.

    Damn, sucks about your P&S. I got gifted a Yashica T4 last week and it died instantly as well. 😐

    • @TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel
      @TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel  2 года назад

      Thanks but it's okay. D Oh no a T4 is already another class. however, a repair at the current T4 prices might be worthwhile.

    • @PentusFtw
      @PentusFtw 2 года назад +1

      @@TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel I did reach out to PPP camera, which is the only repair center I know of for Yashica T4. They said they didn't have the parts for it. I'll probably end up selling it for parts on eBay. Not too much of a loss since it was sitting in a box for the past 15 years.

    How can I remove the film from this camera?

    • @TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel
      @TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel  2 года назад

      ruclips.net/video/qnkjRjksUvQ/видео.html When the film is full, just do exactly what the guy in the video does. This is how you get your film rewound back out of the camera. 👌

    Bru the cameras worth like $800 AUD that isn't cheap

    • @TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel
      @TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel  2 года назад +1

      oh god 800 AUD that's really extortionate. I have now already 3 people in the comments who say that the MC is broken to them almost immediately. There is no way this camera is worth that much. :O

      @@TheBigNegative-PhotoChannel yeah cameras be expensive in Australia all film cameras are at the moment, great video all the same, dude you've definitely got plenty more good memes in your vid than other camera reviewers :^)
      Btw; I made that comment in a bad mood so sorry, it wasn't all that helpful.
