If RUclips is gonna put ads on videos regardless of monetization status, and you don’t have a separate reason to not monetize, you may as well turn on monetization. Worth it.
Very interesting video. I still have my timing strobe light from many decades ago. I do not use these days, but since it is working, I just cannot throw it out. Dave.
John, pulling that old detecto eye thing out of the box, was pure history! Lol! Hand drawn and that envelope, good stuff. And yes, RUclips premium is a payment I make gladly.
There are various free and paid smart phone apps that enable you to use your phone to be a strobe-o-scope. I used one to check the accuracy of my tachometer in my '72 MGB GT. I put a tape dot on the fan blade and adjusted the speed on the app until the dot appeared still, then compared this to the tach on the dash. Coincidentally, I bought a 1972 Motorola AM radio to fit into the car when I restored it - it's the old time five push button, two-knob affair that was ubiquitous for decades. It was NOS never installed (radios were usually dealer installed) and the original box had all the papers, warranty card, instructions, etc just like you showed with your RAYFLEX Announcer.
Great info as always, the things we remember when we were younger that’s embedded in our brains, how about 19 minutes 50 second videos 😂 I could watch you for an hour no problem to be honest , here in oz it’s 1$ a day which I don’t mind paying - it’s just that sometimes these days I don’t have 30$ to pay when demanded !
I'm with you Scout. I went OTA a couple of years ago and I've never had reason to look back. Gregory had the wrong magazines. One of the guilty pleasures from my childhood was to act like I was reading the articles in THE POLICE GAZETTE at The Congress Barber Shop, when, in reality, I was checking out how closely Bridgette's bikini fit.
Great content. I love strobes! Watching a saw blade running through plywood sheets looking like the blade isn't turning. Or a conveyer of print, running 100's of feet per minute that is still and able to read! Oscilloscopes reading line voltage, current or frequencies. Eddy current testing is all so much like magic to me! Something you should look into is Pneumatic HVAC Controls. They utilize air pressure to regulate temperature and air volume in ways that is magical... But all mechanical.
Love the 3 Chime Bells on that case......My Psychic Powers tells me ScoutCrafter bought that on September 30th and paid $16.80 plus $7.69 shipping. 🔔🔔🔔
Interesting video. That announcer is really cool. I also still have my old Craftsman timing light from 40 something years ago. I just wish I had something to use it on.
I noticed those commercials too! I don’t have premium, and I refuse to pay for it. Call me cheap, but I’m sick of things pushing me to buy some sort of subscription. Good show.
I remember the door chime as almost every small store had one. Really small ones just used a bell which I have in my shop. I remember trying to beat them. Not happening but it was entertainment for a kid. I wouldn't mind a strobe scope to check machine rpms but they are expensive. I still have my timing lights. One for regular engines and one for small engines. Never used the latter as it was my stepfathers. They are in a drawer with engine rebuild tools that aren't used. Kind of like the engine dwell meter.
My 70's Garrard Zero 100 Turntable has a stroboscope built into it. You turn a knob to synch the platter to the intended speed. You should plug the Rayflex into a Kill-a-Watt Meter, to see how much electricity that it uses! A friend told me (flashes the dog picture) to add Adblocker Ultimate & Privacy Badger to your browser. They are free, and block "bad things".
Enjoy zagray tomorrow buddy! I can't believe that trick of your daddy worked and just maybe pass the old barber during daytime, more chance of catching somebody or a curtain being open😂
Frank- Yes! It does work! Funny thing- Gregory got pretty old and was starting to make a lot of mistakes- He cut my friend’s chain off his neck and then a week later cut some guy’s eyelid! Needless to say we were older and found a new barber. 😂👍

Worth it.
The name alone is enough to make me want a Detect-O-Ray.
Excellent show Scout. The Stroboscope demonstration was fascinating. 👍
Unbelievably worth it!
Absolutely worth it. I would quit watching RUclips if I had to go back to commercials.
Very interesting video. I still have my timing strobe light from many decades ago. I do not use these days, but since it is working, I just cannot throw it out.
Dave.
Hey, John, it's amazing that they could have made the electric eye and bell containers so much smaller, so much less obtrusive
John, pulling that old detecto eye thing out of the box, was pure history! Lol! Hand drawn and that envelope, good stuff. And yes, RUclips premium is a payment I make gladly.
Loved the story about Gregory.
Worth every dollar. Frndly channel, too. Great video as always.

Mitch- Phone apps are absolutely amazing these days. Honestly the smart phone has to be one of the greatest inventions in the history of mankind. 😃👍
Another terrific episode. Thank you for the insight on RUclips advertising

That photo, John. 1:18 ..it's like something out of a child psychology textbook 😂😂😂😂
My GF asks why would I keep such a picture? 🫣😂👍
Interesting video. That announcer is really cool. I also still have my old Craftsman timing light from 40 something years ago. I just wish I had something to use it on.
😂 me too Joe! I bought mine new with the dwell meter from Sears! 😃👍
Way worth it

Coincido contigo mi amigo RUclips premium es la mejor opción.👌💪

Alan- My Dad had about 30 beautiful turntables from the golden age of HiFi…. 😃👍
Agree on RUclips Premium!
Premium here is £12.99, it's worth it for the amount of RUclips I watch.
Enjoy zagray tomorrow buddy! I can't believe that trick of your daddy worked and just maybe pass the old barber during daytime, more chance of catching somebody or a curtain being open😂
Alex- That curtain hasn’t moved in 25 years! I have daydreams that the inside is unchanged from the day he closed. 😂👍
I seen a military tube tester in a second hand store for $70.00
John- There are always a nice selection on eBay but you have to make sure they operate correctly. They had their own issues as they got older. 🫣😂👍
there's snoopy
Question, did your hair thicken up? I’ll bet Gregory couldn’t match up to Joe and Leo!
Frank- Yes! It does work! Funny thing- Gregory got pretty old and was starting to make a lot of mistakes- He cut my friend’s chain off his neck and then a week later cut some guy’s eyelid! Needless to say we were older and found a new barber. 😂👍
Hi John, Are you goin to Zagary this weekend?
Was that a young picture of your Dad at the very end?
😂 No that was me at about 19 or so. I was still trying to grow a mustache! 🫣😂👍
Adblock is free
Does Adblock work on smart TV’s? I never tried them.
@@ScoutCrafter No idea, I don't ever use the RUclips app on the TV.
I still use a strobe timing light on my 1975 Pontiac and a strobe tuner for guitars and basses.
75 Pontiac! My buddy had a Lemans that we called the cigar. It was such an awesome car- 😃👍
