you're so fast 👍 but this certainly clears up the misconception about bg80 being replaced by exb68. but now after looking at your video i'm also interested to try the aerobite haha
Hi ck, im just changing my string from bg66 ultimax to exbolt 68 and my partner from bg 66 force to aerobite First impression as back hitter exbolt 68 is really good for clearing and lob but for smashing I need to take time for adaptation because it's really tick but overall it's awesome because it's give me more power, and also I tried my partner aerobite for front court and it's really a predator because it can generate really steep hit because when I tried my exbolt on front it's like the shuttle is "running" Out from the court, thanks
Now after playing Exbolt 68 for 1 month, I felt like it doesn't have the power compare to BG80 & the feel ls very soft not like BG80. To me the tension felt like it keep loosing and I regret already :). It's time to go back BG80. I lost a lot of game in Exbolt 68 compare to BG80 bcs of the feeling and everything
hey, thats interesting to hear you are not the only one to have said this about the exbolt 68. What racket do you use, i am considering going with the BG80 to for my astrox 88d. What tension do you usually string at also?
Y’all gotta try vbs 66n or bg 80s competitor, vbs 68. Those strings are crazyyy. It’s not well known but the person who engineered Yonex strings moved to Victor. So in a way Victor strings are the evolution of Yonex main line except for Exbolt. Victor doesn’t have anything like it.
@@nathaniel494 agreed, the vbs line is underrated. I've been using bg80 for 8+ years until vbs came out and after trying vbs66n, 68 and 69 I used vbs66n for about year until switching to vbs63 which is what I'm still currently using (about a year or two) and stringing at 29lbs (currently testing 28lbs with 10% prestretch), despite being so thin its so much more durable than bg80. Fair enough it's a totally different feeling string and I do miss the hard crisp feel of the bg80 but snapping strings every 2 - 3 weeks is not ideal lol and I love the repulsion of the 63 as I'm a hard hitter 😁
@@nathaniel494I once use VBS68, I love the feeling. The price also below Yonex considerably the most expensive amongst all. But the strings not popular and not easy to find.
I'm also wondering about the exbolt65 VS bg80 and VS 66Ultimax 🤔 I'm starting to think the BG66 Ultimax will just stop being good enough to be worth it vs the exbolt 65
@@natp4116 only difference i think is that the exbolt 65 is a lot more unforgiving and tiny bit harder feeling than 66 UM. So if your technique isn't perfect and you want better sweet spot, 66 UM is the way to go.
Hi CK maybe a bit offtopic: If you do another string tension video of the pros please add the question for the grip size and grip That would be interesting for me Thanks
imo instead of aerobite you should've compare the new string to bg 65 Ti, since they were relatively close in position in yonex's string metrics, both durability oriented, thick, and allegedly super similar feel
haii, i currently using a yonex arcsaber 11 play racket, may i know which string is suitable ? i been using BG 66 ultimax and twice but it break after couple smash. and i just changes to aerobite boost( im not sure does it suitable or not) Also, i been a hard hitter ( according to my friend comment on my gameplay one more question, does tension around 25 would affect my smash ?
Just started playing with BG80 on a very intermediate racket. For practice purposes, and i am absolutely stunned how good this string is on a shitty racket.
The question wasn't "is Yonex replacing BG80 with EX68?", the comparison requests were purely about how they compared from a playing point of view e.g. EX68 might have been close enough to BG80 but with extra durability...and who wouldn't want that!?
They feel completely different tho, exbolt 68 felt a bit dead when newly strung, bg80 is out the pack pretty explosive, the exbolt 68 probably need a week or 2 to settle before it’s actually good to play with
I have been stringing BG66 / 66 Ultimax for the last few years. I am hoping to try out this new generation of strings Exbolt/BG80/Aerobite any recommendations would be appreciated I really liked clean repulsion and durability is not a concern. Play causally now and dont mind spending some money on the strings for a nicer experience
I strung my racket with Exbolt 68 at 26Lbs tension on December 2. And I broke the strings on December 9 Monday when playing. Just after a week of getting a new string and it just snapped bruh…
yeah i want to know too, ive been using the BG80 and it broke in about 1 month because of it's texture string. I am using the BG 80 power and i feel it is more durable, more repulsion than the BG 80 because of it's plain surface string But back then when i used the BG 80, the feel is better than BG 80 power, you have to use whole your arm's strength and it feel really really great
Does string colour really matter now? Please bust the myth once and for all. Im really confused with this myth cause I don’t like white strings. Reply awaited
The strings are elastic so they stretch under tension so measuring them under tension isn’t accurate. Their diameter are measured before going under tension
Great review, and subscribe for me... :) Thanks. As an older player I am finding that just due to wear and tear on my elbows etc that I play with quite a few raquette's and depending on elbow fatigue I sometimes drop down a few grams to a lighter raquette which helps my defence and swing speed a lot. I am sure this has probably been asked a lot over the years but just in case it has not, is there anywhere that gives a weight comparison to different strings for a full raquette head restring for example, as even if a few grams difference I think something as light as possible would give me some solid improvement in defence and smash and would be a stat that would really interest me. Greetings from Scotland :D
The material is different, it’s down to feel, bg80 still has better explosive repulsion IMO, exbolt68 feels kind of dead when newly strung takes a while to settle
