I think this years Christmas series should be Nate and Rob guiding Dave to his first platinum.

Dear Access team,
Thank you for being so genuine, fun, and overall just positive people (Although Nathan can sometimes get a little... frustrated), you guys are a huge inspiration for me and are one of the main reasons I started my own youtube channel, delving deeper into games and discussing them, and it's been so much fun! I don't have much equipment but I have heart and I learned from you guys that that is the best thing you can have on this platform, and hopefully I'll be able to grow and maybe meet you guys one day to thank you in person!!
Man, that was an intense One on Onesie. Definitely one of the best yet. As for gaming jobs we'd hate to have? Gonna guess: henchman/foot soldier/guard (for obvious reasons), scientist (especially if it's the scientist that is being held against his/her will by the bad guys), police officer, and the janitor that has to clean up your blood bath.
You could feel the gaming hostility from the start. Definitely one of my favourites. You know it's good when Nath starts screaming at himself.

I've finally played the last of us. I know its older than 2014. But my got. What a bloody good game!
I agree with Dave on the Titan Fall 2 story campaign. I loved the time travel mission and gameplay. I liked it so much I decided to do my first Let's Play series on it.
However...to hell with all the damn wall running.
I thought you guys would have said The Last of Us for best single player campaign. That game is unbeatable in my opinion.

Nathan, you haven't played either No Man's Sky OR Horizon Zero Dawn?? Easy choice: those two. NMS for short sessions, HZD to spend an evening. Come on now, don't be so careful about the obvious ones. They are both really impressive works.
So few of the comments are about the one on onesie, this week was great I love how you start working together for a bit until you realise you're close to actually winning. I do love access granted, it never fails to make me laugh

Kinda funny how you guys are talking about Shadow of Mordor, I just picked up the game of the year edition on PSN. I had it on last gen, but I never beat it. I must say it's nice being able to see the weather, the textures don't look bad and there are no loading screens in cutscenes.
This is bringing back memories I absolutely looooooved the ps1 game used to play with my sister all the time. I always won on the science table because I knew how to drive while invisible! I hope this is more like the ps1 version than the ps2!

I was so against micro machines after I played the original on the PS1 back in the 90's but watching you guys play it made me download load it about 30 minutes ago. Cherrrrryyyyy!!!
i got platinum for shadow of mordor twice. the game is so good that i finished it when it came out and then again some years after when the game of the year edition came out at a discount. such a good game.

I briefly wondered why you guys didn't say anything about the July 4th holiday, then remembered that's a bit of a sore spot and I'm now realizing that I shouldn't have mentioned it .

Perhaps Nath should play The Evil Within? A bit of a wonky game, but the cinephile in him will surely appreciate all the references to classic (and not so classic) horror films? :)

Nath is basically playing through the same backlog of games as I am. I've just finished Wolfenstein - both The New Order and The Old Blood, am part way through The Last Guardian and Alien: Isolation... Started No Man's Sky and I'd say to give it a miss, sadly. Wait for Elite: Dangerous on PS4 instead (Then leave it for 3 years until you play it).

Nathan, I just finally got around to playing horizon, and it was so good I actually took the time to get the platinum (which I've only done once before). You should really give it a go!
Metro redux is from 2014.So metro 2033 and last light.Two remastered versions are now less than 9€.Awesome fps survival games with cool atmosphere.Also first styx is also on sale,great stealth game.

Not from 2014 but Nath should play Dark Souls 3. If not then Horizon Zero Dawn. Dave should finish it because it's a pretty easy platinum to get. In my opinion the best single player campaign has got to be The Last of Us.
oh and squad goals finally got my first Platinum with Tekken 7 (great first) would of had it for Assassin's Creed 2 so sorry Rob not everyone has that one

Nathan i highly recommend you play Dragon Age inquisition! It released in 2014 It's epic even the DLC is impressive. It sits firmly as my 2nd of all time favourite open world game just behind Witcher 3...Plus Hollie could give you tips.

I know squad goals and 301 club and what have you no longer exist but I need a sympathetic ear and this is going to have to do. I've platinumed Fallout 4. I know, I know, I'm awesome. I've 100 percented far harbour, automatron, the vault tec, contraptions and wasteland workshops. This is not like me. I usually take trophies as a catch as catch can, ooh that's nice but not really necessary thing. No matter. After coming this far obviously I'm going to %100 nuka world. I almost did but in collecting all the recipes for the nuka cola mixes apparently there's a fairly common glitch that causes one of the recipe magazines to fall through the scenery and into 'looks like you're not having that' land. Didn't know after searching for ages until I looked it up on line long after any saves may have existed where it was still attainable. My absolute final fallout 4 trophy and it glitched for me so that's nice. I never liked nuka cola anyway.
#TuesdayChecklist I imagine working at a hospital or auto repair shop in any GTA city would drive someone insane. The player always seems to keep them busy.

A week ago I got the Platinum for Prey. Probably my hardest and rarest yet, 0.5% Ultra Rare. Required 3 Playthroughs. Really enjoyed the game though.
Not only that, but it was Platinum number 20 for me! 🏆😀

I have one platinum, the Fallout 4 platinum, and it is not a big one it is very easy to get. Just build lots of bars in your settlement.

I reckon the worst gaming job (or, at least, one of the worst) would have to be being an alpha/beta tester a good few years ago. Sure, today people pay to play betas but, back in the day at least, an alpha/beta tester was essentially paid to try and find all the problems in a game. There's a lot of stories and people I've heard of who say that the job ruined playing games for them. (Correct me if I'm miles off, this is just what I've heard from talking to certain people).
Little selfish addition here: I'm quite interested to know (from all this platinum talk), who has the most amount of platinums that you know (even outside Playstation Access)?
Just a thought because I'm currently staring at my mate's profile (after being all proud of myself obtaining a platinum on Horizon: Zero Dawn) and he's sitting on 61 and it's making me go "Oh...I really need to get more platinums" haha.

Dave should just try to platinum Shadows of Mordor, it's so easy. It was my second platinum trophy (Dark Souls was the first one) and I don't even own Shadows of Mordor, i've done it in a few weeks so, really easy to go.

how do you not know how to kill in Shadow Of Mordor lol. It tells you how to do it for one and two, pressing the buttons is normally a good way to figure out how to do things on a game. Don't know why they even picked that to read out, it's like someone saying they don't know how to jump in the first Mario game.

I think one of the worst gaming jobs would have to be a janitor working in bioshock's rapture, it would be carnage. the poor person would need a mop and bucket everywhere they went. and I'd hate to think what mess a big daddy would leave behind #cring
