Dave, I just got to Skellige in the Witcher 3 after putting the game down for a year and with the short intro videos while loading it throws you right back into the story where you left off. Lets finish it together mate!

Longtime PS fan, after my PS3 bit the dust in 2013 and I gained 1 wife and 3 kids I thought my gaming days were over. Along came your channel and your wonderful playthroughs (especially Don't Starve) which led me to the purchase of the PS4 this past month.
I am nostalgic for the games and time of my youth, why not start with the Ratchet and Clank remake? My 4yo son will love it and I will too. After 1 playthrough and a 2nd playthrough on challenge mode I was ONE silver trophy away, Master of War (upgrade every weapon to maximum level 10), from platinum.
The ONLY weapon I didn't have at level 10 was the sheepinator, currently sitting at 8 1/2. The bit I was currently playing involved flying your ship and destroying some HydroHarvesters and I just wanted to get on with the sheepinator and receive my well earned platinum.
I know!, thought my big dumb adult brain, I'll just start a new game in Challenge Mode, use the sheepinator for 15min or so on easy early enemies and be done!
Options> Quit> New Game> Are you sure?> YES
Starts new game, Huh... why don't I have any of my weapons? What happenend to my gold bolts?? OH GOD.. WHY IS THERE NO CHALLENEGE MODE MULTIPLIER??? I sat in silence for 10 min wondering what the hell just happened until I realised that starting a new game STARTS A WHOLE NEW GAME.
Surely there has to be a way to load my old saves from PSN or something right? Well... there could have been had I ever saved any of my game progress to the cloud.
So then I start thinking "well, all I have to do is upgrade the sheepinator to level 10 and be done, that's 2 more playthroughs" It will suck but it's doable. But then after an hour I realize the trophy is to upgrade all weapons to level 10 and my PS4 doesn't give a damn that I already leveled them up on a PREVIOUS playthrough and that I HAVE TO DO THEM ALL AGAIN.
Access, my foray into the world of PS4 has been an utter disaster. I CANNOT leave that game unfinshed with 1 trophy hanging out for me to grab, my psyche couldn't handle it, however, my wife CANNOT watch me play through Ratchet and Clank 2.5 more times her patience couldn't handle it.
Help me, as Nathan would say, PLEASE!

Been watching you guys for about 2 years now even though I never had a PlayStation since PS2, just liked your channel a lot. After so much time seeing you guys play combined with all the exclusives as well as my impatience for Monster Hunter World to come to PC, you've bloody convinced me and I got a PS4 slim yesterday. Now I don't feel like the odd kid watching the cool kids have fun :)
I use turtle Beach PX4. Good sound quality. Surround sound. Helps a ton in fortnite. Only problem is there is always a slight static background noise
As soon as the squadgoals theme came on I had a flashback moment to the earlier days of access granted. This brought a tear to my I eye as I thought how far we've come.
Dave "I'm a big believer in enjoying games without the hunt, the need." HA! I laugh. Who plays games for fun when you could be playing Uncharted 2 five times in a row for a platinum. Beautiful!

To answer the headset question, I really like the PlayStation 4 Gold Wireless Stereo Headset I recently bought. It's a bit pricey, but it's been well worth it so far. It sounds great, and the mic is built in.
After a couple weeks of calm Nath, it's nice to see Nath freak out. It just makes my Monday.
The Lucidsound LS30 Wireless Gaming Headset is absolutely amazing. Throughout every suitcase and tournament this bad boy never let me down. Even after it's fallen on the floor a billion times it still works flawlessly.

Ps1: Metal gear solid/ Final fantasy 9
Ps2: way too difficult to choose but probably final fantasy 10
ps3: Can't choose between the last of us and skyrim
Ps4: The witcher 3 or horzion zero dawn..

Super Duper S.P yeah I completely agree, but they are games that made the consoles generation at the time. There are a few gems out there though. Especially on PS2.

Ps2: final fantasy tactics (yes I know it's a Ps1 game but I didn't get it until the ps2)
Ps3:skyrim
Ps4: so far it's the final fantasy 9 remake so many memories
PS1:Metal Gear Solid 1

PS3:Metal Gear Solid 4
PS4:Witcher 3
My Squad Goal will be to play and enjoy all the PS4 Exclusives i have pre-ordered for this year, God of War, Detroit, Spiderman & Days Gone.
For the headset, I highly recommend the Sennheiser GSP 300, or really any Sennheiser headset for that matter. This one in particular is just under 100 USD, and it is well worth the price.
Hi guys. Really enjoyed the one-on-onsie this week, love seeing the frustration come out it's dang funny. As for headphones I'm using Turtle beach as they are really comfy, sounds good. And the main point, I can't hear my children killing each other. Win win win 😁

Has anyone played the werewolf within game? It's kinda like a card game but it's on PS VR looks so good and it's all about misdirection. Would love to hear other people's experiences if they have played it. I've watched a few videos with people playing it and would be hilarious to watch Nath, Dave, Rob, Hollie and Dan play it! Also I love this channel. I've been travelling for the last 2 and a half years so I get my gaming fix from watching and rewatching all of your videos! I have the longest list of games to play when I finally get back to the UK! Love you Guys!
The Feeder track they reference is 'Just a Day' for those wondering - one of my favourite bands and it's on the playlist I have to play Fortnite with! Mainly to calm me down after I screw myself over with very little people left!
On the subject of headsets I use the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 wireless for my ps4. I looked through reviews for 4 different headsets before deciding on these. It was roughly $99 and have been worth the price. Long lasting charge, good sound and have had no complaints about my mic whilst playing Destiny2 with the community.
Squad Goal: I started Sniper Elite 3 awhile back but couldn't platinum it because of the deserted and buggy multiplayer as well as Authentic mode being quite difficult. A friend of mine earned the plat on PS3 and I convinced him to plat it again on PS4...we're going to do almost all of it co-op and boost some of the MP trophies. I'm determined to earn that plat!
Timothy W. its a real pain to get multiplayer trophies in old games. I wanted to platinum the last of us but the MP discouraged me
The headset that I use is Creative's Sound BlasterX H5 headset. It's over-the-ear and has a detachable mic that works quite well. I've used it while using Share Play with my friend who is on the other end of the country. They are quite comfty as well. :D As a side note, before I was using a usb Yeti-mic and over-the-ear headphones before.
For the headsets video I suggest Astro A40 tr, or A50 although I have never used A50. I have the xbox version, I use the optical from the box and put into tv when I want to use Playstation 4. All my friends have xbox so I cant say how well the voice chat is but sound is great either way.
Nath, hearing you talk about The Witcher 3 so much has got me intrigued!! I really enjoy open world games such as Skyrim, but I know nothing about The Witcher series. Would I be totally lost jumping straight into 3, or do I need to play 1 & 2 first? Cheers

We need to see the ultimate deathblow to Rob's onesie curse or the ultimate humiliaton to Rob for losing to Dave in CTR. Humiliation would be the worse kind to Rob for he has bragged about his skills in CTR so much.
I'm not sure if you guys have played this on one-on-onesie, but I've been having a blast playing Gang Beasts with my cousins. It is really fun in the 4-player melee mode, and I scream louder than Nath when I play it so... yeah just a suggestion.
Oh and for Jordan Gill's Platinums, Burnout Paradise Remastered came to mind, I think that should be quite fun, and maybe try Vampyr?

When i got the witcher 3 i was "sick" for a week and beat the main quest line in 3 day. Im not sure if i slept or ate the entire time
damn it 1611 is the closest I have ever been to club 301. also regarding the headset I use my lightspeed Zulu 3 and connect it via the Bluetooth, I wouldn't recommend it unless your a pilot and already happen to have one, because as of current the cost is $800. but the audio quality is great, and it has active noise reduction which cancels out everything going on around you.
I really like my turtle beach stealth 520. They're made for ps4 and pc and work great for both! Around 150 us.

Squad Goal: I'm currently playing Horizon Zero Dawn and my goal is to fully complete the base game and the Frozen Wilds without fast traveling. So far it has been a sheer joy coming up with strategies on the fly to take out machines. Like soccer, Horizon is a beautiful game.
I think the AC Origins platinum is a well respected trophy, the map is just so big

Daniel Richards haha yeah i get where ur coming from it can be a real pain to replay games for trophies especially when the story isnt skippable the second time around. Uncharted 4 was brilliant in my experience but it did take three playthroughs. Id highly recommend horizon i just got through it myself a few days ago its brilliant. Witcher 3 is on my list of games i want to platinum but i never got around to it after my first time finishing it. Probably a lost cause. Id love to see rob play mgs2 on extreme difficulty because doing that for the Great Dane trophy was a nightmare and im glad its over with for me

Just play a game longer than you normally would, and check the trophy list as you go. Its pretty simple.
It's quite easy, there are loadsof games that take anywhere from a few hours to 30 hours to platinum.
Aiden King I know that but what about work, cleaning and day to day life that =no time.

My squad goals are to finish getting the platinums in bioshock infinite (only one left!),dishonoured, and lego marvel super heroes 2. And then I need to play dishonoured 2 and mgs5, I preordered both and played them for about an hour. Also finish the witness.

If you are still planning on playing Alien Isolation, then I have a suggestion: Everyone has to play for two hours and the two with the least progression has to play the game in it's entirety. This way no one can "hide" and try to run out timer, and maybe play chicken with the alien

I have no headset but what what i do is use my microphone from ps camera and Bluetooth my sennheisser wireless headphones to my tv done.
If anyone here in the comments or the PA crew can help, I am looking for an up to date list of PS4 Compatible Wireless Headphones as I need to get some new ones, and cant find anything anywhere with such a list. Am new to PS4, not had a PS since the PS2 back in like 03, so any help would be greatly apreciated!

To the guy that wants challenging platinums, or big game platinums. Monster hunter world. That's basically a 300 400 hour platinum and a few of the trophies are just random chance. Good luck with that :)

im trying to platinum monster hunter world, but those rng gold miniature and giant crown is really making it hard for me. im 300 hours in the game and i havent got half of them.
i use Logitech G430 for my PS4 and PC - That's how awesome it's - and as for my squad goals i still need to get all Bloodborne's weapons and kill Queen of Yharnam for my third platinum

So, I have managed to get 3 platinums: Until Dawn, Rocket League, and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. I've been trying to think of what game to try and platinum next, but I'm out of ideas. What would be a good choice for my next attempt?

I'm a huge telltale fan but the batman game was average at best. For me original WD would just shade it over TWAU, but I would highly recommend both.
How do you use headphones or ear buds with a ps4, does it need to have the voice chat option even if you just want to listen through it?
??? Have you never seen the headphone port on the controller? You can use pretty much any headphone without voice chat capability.

Ok, that is weird, normal headphones should work fine. Maybe your controller is broken, try your headphones on a different one, maybe at a friends house. Good luck with getting it to work.

It depends on your taste, but if you're into adventure games, I reccomend the Witcher 3. Uncharted 4 is also of the best games around.
Id recommend fallout 4 and far cry 4 too
