As far as classics go, the films of the French New Wave will forever be considered staples of cinematic history, and one of my favourites is Agnes Varda's 1962 film Cléo from 5 to 7. In this video essay / film analysis, we dive into how the film comments on both beauty and death so seamlessly and naturally, such that they are both equally profound and timeless in their commentary. Enjoy!
Cleo from 5 to 7 (Cléo de 5 à 7) is a 1962 film from director Agnès Varda. It stars Corinne Marchand, Antoine Bourseiller, Dominique Davray, Dorothée Blanc, and Michel Legrand
