Alicent was in denial because believing that viserys changed his mind was her justification for all of this, so when rhaenyra told her she was in chaos but at the same time she told her that there was no way of stopping it now. So yeah she accepted it but what could she do even if she agreed with rhaenyra? And now she lost hope and she blames herself for what happend, and she played her part but the main architect was otto and the council, it was going to happen with or without viserys conscent
Grover Tully of the book("Fire and Blood") is awake enough that he constantly orders his sons and his bannermen to send ravens and declare for Aegon, but everyone just ignores him. Lord Darklyn:"You're not fit for the white cloak." Ironic, given it was Rhaenyra who chose him for it(and all because he was hot). I am glad they're going a bit more into the heart trees bringing on visions(as Daemon's bed is made from one). In the books, Jaime Lannister returning to save Brienne from Harrenhal and the bear is spurred by a dream brought on by sleeping with his head on the stump of a heart tree, which inspires him to return and rescue her. "Do what is needed of you. Nothing." Yeah, I would be pissed and want to prove myself after all the shit I was taking from everyone, including my little brother. Book version has Rhaenyra forbid her sons to go and refused to fly herself. 20:13, this made me love Aegon even more and makes me sad every time, as both of them are so hurt by the end. The book's "dance"over Rooks Rest is a full on fight with Melys, Vhagar and Sunfyre. Its said if it was Vhagar alone, Melys could have escaped and against Sunfyre, she could have won, but against both, death was certain. 26:14 Me: "She's fine...she's resting..." (Lol, would probably be the case if it was season 8 of GOT). Pokemon style: "The Greens won!...but Aegon II was crippled." Green fans(like me):"Yay?"
What some people are missing is that Aegon barely understands what Aemond is saying in HV. Because he never bothered to learn. So he’s pretending to understand to save face in front of the council, then stammers out three words that he THINKS are responsive to Aemond’s fluency. His bottomless ignorance is hilarious.
It seemed like he understood what he said but couldn't speak. Very common in some 'bilingual' communities. Plus aemond is genuinely an idiot who likes to act like he's smart, whereas aegon is generally just more self aware.
This isn’t true though. Aegon could understand what Aemond said. He just wasn’t advanced enough in the language to speak it fluently, which is humiliating enough. But he definitely understood, Aemond’s actor said so too. Speaking is a more advanced language skill than listening.
This episode is so phenomenal that it would break box office records if it was screened on IMAX instead. 📽️ Plus, the deaths of both Meleys and Rhaenys broke the Internet and hearts of fans worldwide, including mine. 😭 🫡
I am pretty sure that Aemond was going to where his brother collapsed in battle to take the dragon out of it’s misery and than Cole stopped him maybe, I think that’s what he’s doing i don’t think he would actually kill his own brother though.
Yes he would and did, he knew what he was doing. In the last episode Aegon humiliated Aemond in the brothel, after Aemond saying that he's been teased by him all his life. There's been hints towards his hatred for him. He took the opportunity while he had it.
@@littlebabyclover well yes that is true, we saw that in the last episode where Aegon just stormed in and just teased his brother while he was very drunk, but Aemond is smart and knows not to do that, Aemond is smart, if he really wanted to take Aegon out he would of done it privately and not out in the open where they are in war, and where they would be no witnesses like Ser Cole for example. Like i don’t think Aemond would take out his brother anyway.
@@MilasMixMedia he knew when he said 'Dracaris' that it would burn them both. There's no way he didn't know that. He also showed no remorse when finding Aegon's body, in fact he pulled his sword out and looked like he was going to finish the job until Cole called his name. He looked more panicked when he accidentally killed Luke, he was yelling at Vagar to stop, in that moment he knew he messed up.. in contrast with looking emotionless after ordering his dragon to breathe fire in his brother's direction.
@@littlebabyclover i don’t think Aemond saw his Brother on the dragon when the dragon fire breathed on him, i don’t think he knew he saw him on there to be honest, it might of seemed that Aemond wanted to kill his own brother it might of seemed like that, but i don’t think Aemond would kill his brother out in the open and including with witnesses around including Ser Cole himself, but Aemond is also very smart so i wouldn’t think he would do that, he’s too smart to just kill his brother on the spot, i think he was trying to put the dragon out of it’s misery that’s probably what is it. Also when it came to Vhagar killing accidentally Luke remember Aemond had no control of his dragon at that point in that scene, so he had no control of Vhagar’s actions i don’t think Aemond was panicked in that scene but i do think he was very shocked from what Vhagar did to Luke and yes he was trying to tell Vhagar To stop but he didn’t.
Aemond wasn’t drawing his sword. His sword was already out. He was sheathing it. Aemond walked up with his sword out. When Cole called to him, in one smooth motion he sheathed his sword. Because he didn’t have to do any extra movements, make me feel he was already intending to sheathe it
aegons dragon is the only thing that shows him the love he wants aemond was about to put his sword away before cole called out to him so i dont think he was gonna kill him
The Dance of Dragons has officially begun. This is the beginning of the end for House Targaryen. Only a few people survive this whole war. "The horrors I have just loosed cannot be for a crown alone."
This is all honesty and a few of my SCA groups, or medieval reenactment groups, and such running to this problem occasionally and when it becomes, everybody start, needs a separate and not do things to help build each other up it really breaks down everything that you’re trying to work on. Which is really frustrating.
I will be leaving the damn area and joining other groups and getting as far away from this crazy ass group as possible until we can build enough strength to overtake them. I am definitely not wanting to give in, but I am also definitely not one of them I need to take orders from somebody else like they’re talking about.
7:41 - Nope, that would have been a bad move on her part as her dragon isn't big or strong enough to be able to burn the forest enough to get Cole. Daemon would have done so but his Dragon is big enough and strong enough to do so. Rhaenyra's councilors (and you guys in this scene) overestimate what she could have done, and simply think Dragons are an easy solution to any situation when there meant to be tactical destruction weapons.
Loved your reaction as always. You should check out society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one. If you do watch it I recommend the original language with subtitles, the acting was amazing
If dragon riders existed in modern day, oh I’m sure they’d be fitted with parachutes in case their dragon dies. The question is, how effective would dragons be in modern times??

aemond intentionally aimed for sunfyre because he wants to be king and he hates aegon.
He sure did.
He definitely could have just let him leave last season, lol.
@@phousefilmshe couldn’t for the same reason he didn’t kill aegon last season, cuz cole interfered
This episode was so awesome, definitely gonna be nominated for best directed episode for TV drama.

Aegon and his dragon can't die because in Aegon and his dragon they have a great influence until the end of the war

Pentos is not on the other side of the world. It is almost the same distance away from Dragonstone as Kingslanding is.
Can’t wait for everyone to see more of Oscar Tully, especially all y’all who are sleeping on him
