The second wii u in the video was a rare Wii U containing the first ever firmware. There's little to no consoles left with this firmware. and he updated it 😭
If i remember the icons correctly, all of those XBLA games are just trials. You can see when you load up TMNT, theres an option to "Unlock full game", so i dont believe any of those games are the full ones. Also, if im remembering game sharing with my dad as a kid years ago, the profile that purchased the game owns the license, so that profile HAS to be on the console for other profiles to be able to play it.
Man those 360 cases seemed to crack games regularly, many times when I was a teen we had to check when getting it pre-owned to make sure the disk was okay lol.
Absolutely, however if you see cracks like that it generally means the game was played the hell out of as well, being taken out and put back in the case all the time. My modern warfare 2 and my halo reach both have those cracks and those were the two games I played the most I'd say
Someone else mentioned that the Wii U with the broken wifi is running a really old firmware version, that might be the cause of the WiFi issues, you could either leave it or try updating it with a Wii LAN adapter, depending on what option you find to be more profitable.
When you see those kinds of cracks like that on an Xbox 360 disc in those spots, it usually means one thing: somebody spent a period of their time no lifing that game, it got taken out of and put back in its case a million times lol. That halo 3 disc has probably seen a crap ton of playtime. Kinda sad to think someone might be missing it 😢 awesome vid as always
If you look at the icons for the games, they show half a controller at the bottom. That means they are demos not full games. I still use my 360 regularly.
The WiiU Wi-Fi will often flake out like your second one. Removing the coin cell battery and power cycling the system will often fix it. The coin cell keeps the system from power cycling properly.
If i remmeber correctly that version of the tmnt arcade game is no longer available and plays more stable than the collectors edition, so thats a rather rare commodity

At launch, I went through like 7 Wii U consoles because of internet issues. The internet issue would actually cause a firmware problem and hard lock the system, making the noise of nails on a chalkboard
demos still work no matter what. which, those games were, you can also play full games from someone else's account as long as it isn't connected to the internet again, if you reconnect the console to the internet without the persons profile/license transfer still on the Xbox it will stop you from playing the games. (I can confirm this as I have 7 Xbox 360's with all of my games downloaded and working without my profile, I've never reconnected them to the internet so they all still have my games.) For console at 2:30
Be careful spinning up discs with a crack in it. I've seen these shatter within the disc drive when it speeds up to 1000's of RPMs and.... what a mess!
I'm still using my copy of mw2 that has a crack like that lmao. I'd have to take it out and put it in my 360 like 8 times to get it to work lol same with my xbox one, since I've gotten my series x it works a lot better for some reason
Xbox 360 games contain two licenses. The console that their gamertag is "registered to" (which I remember being able to change 3 times per year), and any console that is actively playing as their gamertag.
I don't like using alcohol when cleaning the lens on the laser being that it can sometimes strip the anti-glare coating on the lens, damaging it sometimes beyond repair. You are better off with a good glass cleaner like Windex.

Wii Us are fun. I once got one as "broken" with Lego Batman in the disk slot. Sadly the Wii U doesn't read Nintendo DS games, so that cartridge didn't work there. Once I removed it from the drive the Wii U worked fine. And I got a free copy of Lego Batman DS.

Its been my experience Goodwill does the best job I've ever seen of packing their items. Ive had ebayers place an item in a box with little or no packing. A few paid the price though as the item arrived demolished and they had to issue a total refund. Yeah I sometimes got to keep the items but they were worthless!!
It really depends on region, but in general they really... *really* don't want to pay refunds, even if they can foot the bill to whoever they have shipping it for mishandling.

My PS3 super slim has a broken sliding top mechanism and I just did a MacGyver and made it work. It looks like the Desert PS3 from DKOldies inside lol but I’m not opening it until I buy a new outer case. Also my Xbox 360 S needs a new motherboard as mine is parental controls enabled from the previous owner and they don’t know the code. Nice consoles tho
I love this series and can't wait for new episodes. Just a small correction: At ~ 16:35 you mention that you can't play PS1 games on all PS3s. Thats wrong though, I think you meant Playstation 2 games, which is also not 100 % correct. Afaik, all PS3s got software emulation to play PS1 titles. The first revisions also got hardware emulation for PS2 games, which was later switched to a hardware software combination before being dropped completely - just like they ditched the possibility to install linux on later revisions. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, this is all just from memory.
I had that issue with a few Wii U consoles. Weirdly enough I put the Wii U to its side pointing the bottom side to the router. It took a few tries but it connected. I’m not sure if the first gen Wii U had weak Wi-Fi receivers. Anyways just wanted to say my 2 cents :P
I got a wii recently and it included some awesome gc games and a memory card.... it had some amazing save files of great games some of which were included. It was a storage locker find from a couple I know and it was a good one. Still has the flaps and is in good shape. No sd card iirc just the gc memory card
Guarantee those games are left in the consoles of the kids that left for college, or left the house for whatever reason and left their console at home. Mom and dad eventually just give it away, not even opening it to look. I am more surprised that Goodwill doesn't check for these games!
The fact that there was no game disc in the Wii or Wii U but there was in the Xbox360 and PS3 just proves that Nintendo players are smarter. We know to remove discs before selling the console. 😁

Rub some banana on the cracks and you may be able to repair cracks enough to get it working. Chocolate will work too. Just wipe it on and buff it.

Often a console won’t connect to wifi if the time and date is incorrect. That’s probably why that one Wii U wouldn’t connect to internet.
You should try and buy an original PS3 that has never been played before, that would be cool to see!

I love my old 360 slim, a good cleaning every couple years and it's got no problems.
When I bought my Wii U used years ago it had Nintendoland and Super Mario Bros U the later ones had free games to help try and move them.

Where do you get things like replacement drives for Wiis? Are parts still being manufactured or are they pieces of other people's that have been broken into parts? Or is the drive not as specific?
eBay has a ton of them. They're usually recycled from other systems.
