Right? Even then, so what if just vets get to use older armour. We're basically playing as characters/heroes. Seems like a cop out that they can't do older armour parts. It's already in the campaign with Deathwatch

the way i see it about the lack of female playable characters is that the game is called space marine. if people are upset about there not being female playable characters theyve gone in with the wrong expectations in the first place. its like buying a bag of apples and then being angry that there arent any oranges in the bag. that being said, if we were to get playable sisters of silence and/or sisters of battle it would be really cool to play as them.
Agreed, though I'm not sure how they would balance them in comparison to Astartes durability.
However, Sisters of Silence would absolutely crush Thousand Sons.
Personally I would like a sister of battle with a support super. Like she stands still, sings a hymn, and has a large aoe HoT. I main that. Unless they add a dreadnought.
DLC campaign mission. Way less HP, no shield, but all your HP is grey HP that can be recovered with an execution. Maybe use it to introduce another faction of Space Marines or maybe even Grey Knights. Only real issue is introducing elements in Campaign and then not allowing Operations of PVP to get a taste of it cosmetics wise. Maybe use them to introduce new melee and ranged weapons. Flamers, power axes, power glaives, hand flamers, wrist mounted guns etc
There are no female space marines. There are A LOT of female only combat organizations in 40k however. The Adepta Sororitas are about as close as you can get to a female space marine and in a way they’re more impressive because they don’t have any of the enhancements that the space marines have and yet they’re just as effective in battle.
Also the sisters of silence bring a whole other thing to the table with their anti-psyker capabilities where just being near a psyker causes them to go completely insane.
There are a lot of options and I think the Adepta Sororitas would be a good addition to the game with their own operations and maybe even models and skins in pvp. That is *a lot* to ask.
The sisters of battle do have their own game though. 40k battle sister is a VR shooter that no one knows about because it’s a VR shooter. They deserve better.
@@bayouboigaming Faith is their sword and shield against the mutants, the hectics, and the xenos. Also they can drop churches from orbit while playing godly music on the way down. So fkin metal.
I hate to be so persnickety, but it's really obnoxious to see so many people asking for things that fall well outside of the scope of this game. Especially when it's in severe need of balancing.
This is Space Marine 2. Not Chaos Terminator 2, not Adeptus Sororitas 2, not Tau 2. etc.
This isn't a catchall 40K game. The Operations mode is supposed to support and round out the main campaign.

Agreed, for sure, fans need to calm the F down. But they so can at least do older amour marks on Primaris. Like, what, we're NOT playing as vets/characters in the game??? Yeah, seems actually dumb as all hell. MK7 helmets are literally in the campaign. I don't need full armours, but the helmets should be easy at least. But even then, so what if primaris is bigger in lore, JUST GIVE US THE F-ING ARMOUR WE ALL CLEARLY WANT
Yeah they said when asked about customising Titus in the campaign that they have restrictions on what they can and can't do in the game so it definitely sounds like gw has told them not to put certain things into the game

There are primaris sized busts of MK II/MK III statues on Vox Liberatis. The older marks are already modelled in. This is 100% GW input.

Why would we need to play the sisters of battle or anyone else? It's space Marine 2, not everyone, and everything needs to be included in the game to appease to the masses. Let's keep the focus on the main event instead of side projects. The emperor provides
Dear devs: Nobody is asking for smaller marines made to replicate the older smaller firstborn scale. Nobody is asking for marines with different heights and different animations.
We are asking for the current, modern armour to stay at it's current modern height, but to have the decorations, styles and patterning of the older, classic armour variants. There is absolutely no need for new animations for new marines with different heights. Just make the current armour 'look' like the old armour. Make primaris scale armour that looks like a homage to the older classic armour. The older armour variants are classic and iconic for a reason Heck Captain Titus is even wearing firstborn armour in the 1st mission!
TLDR: people want the 'look' of the older classic armour variants. They do not want the smaller height and smaller scale.

I've been in the Tabletop hobby for over 20 years. I can tell you for certain, everybody in the hobby and every lore Nerd that ever existed prefers the new height/ the new scale of the new marine models. That's not the issue. Nobody will have a problem putting the older more classic looking armour variants onto the new primaris frame. GW themselves have already started doing this with the physical models, they shouldn't have any problem with Saber doing it.
Games workshop has restrictions on them for what they can and can't add. The devs mentioned in order to add another chapter into the operations they would need GWs permission. They probably can't give primarily marines mark armor due to some rule from GW until they get permission

I thought the Primaris fiasco was over now. It's been 8 long contentious years in the tabletop community. 8 years since the Primaris were first introduced and badly handled. 8 years of contention and controversy. GW have finally actively started making minis in the new Primaris scale but with the older armour patterns and classic designs! They've been doing it with their own minis for the last 2 years! Why are they backtracking now?
Maybe that was GW's stance a few years ago when Saber 1st started making the game. If so then fine.
But now that we've crossed that bridge and accepted minis with classic armour in Primaris scale, why not tell Saber that!???

It starts with demands for female representation then transitions into demands for trans representation, then we end up with female custodes and slaaneeshie demons fighting with space Marines, at that point you have a new universe, new story and a new game, just make a new game. Never under estimate the ability of whiney humans to ruin things they don't even care about. From all reports those demanding representation aren't even fans of the lore, haven't played previous games and don't even play video games regularly, they just want to ruin something they don't care about so they can feel some semblance of importance....
Currently enjoying a stint with the Ultramarines on Avarax, heading to Demerium soon.
Checking on the Helldivers every once in a while though to make sure they're okay.
If they need help, I will answer. Just because I'm a Primaris now doesn't mean I've abandoned my brothers and sisters.
I love Warhammer especially 40K but SM2 is $70 for a 30% finished game or $100 for a game that's going to be finished in a year, WWZ had this problem even with aftermath and its the same company making SM2 so I'm decently worried about the longevity of the game
It won’t last long once the hype dies. Companies are consistently releasing half baked products and charging a premium for them.
Once you complete the campaign and play the operations it’s just boring lol multiplayer has like 3 maps can’t see myself staying long and I paid £85 kinda regretting it now lol

I've been playing it since the day of early access and I can say that I've enjoyed every moment of it and I've had hard time putting it down, well worth it for me. (Only reason I had early access is cuz I wanted the season pass)
That whole "old mark helmets would be too much work" is bollocks, they could absolutely make them a thing for customization and just resize if need be.
This is not a Dev issue

I don’t think it’s an inability to to handle the process exactly. I think it’s by design, the emperor in a lore sense probably wanted to prevent space marines from being able to breed a new human race, and or he needed unmodified humanity for something.

First born helmets, or first born marines, they cant say "its not lore accurate" as many primaris veteran models have older mk helms, and the chaos marines in pvp have been scaled up to primaris height.
Hot take but I don’t want them to put all that work into a sister of battle. I’d rather see a playable chaplain, apothecary, tech marine, new weapons like power claws, chain axe, power axe, dual swords, two handed options for power swords and axes, etc.
They already said they're going to add those classes later but I do agree those things should take priority over Sister's of Battle

Sisters of battle is a no go. Being female theyre smaller and slimmer which reduces their hitbox giving them an advantage in pvp. So if added everyone will most likely be playing her because of this.

All I have seen is promises so far. While having tons of bugs not yet fixed going into week two. Plus tons of connection lost issues from the terrible epic services they chose to use.
People want to cross play, epic was the one who first got it started. And they were the initial ones to get it going in 2018. And continue to be the best with its functionality. Games not really been out that long Just give them time for stability. Personally I've been playing since the early access and the only issues I had was like the first 3 days of early access.
Besides that I continued to play online with PC Xbox and PlayStation with no issue.

Give me a short 2 player coop campaign for sisters, with one a normal battle sister holding combi bolter and flamer, the other one being a Repentia, with only that massive chain sword. Don’t let the repentia use relic to selfrevive, and damage buff when low health; give the battle sister ability to remote revive the repentia as a “miracle”. Have them bit*h at each other throughout the story

Honestly I think the vast majority of players like myself came for the campaign and operations. Its where the game really shines and you get to engage with all of the games amazing features and mechanics. Pvp very much feels like a fun extra mode and in no way will hold players attention for long. It just does not have the depth that dedicated pvp games have nor should it. The Devs really should focus on fleshing out the operations mode. 6 missions is not enough variety. If they were to add more enemies, maps, and even injectable events or modifiers to the rules the game will thrive. Pvp will not hold this player base so I really hope they focus their time and resources on the coop modes and I think this game will be very big.
Operations are fine for a while but they get repetitive fast and you need to do A LOT if you want all the cosmetics, I'm impressed with how fun the PvP is tho, I wasn't even going to try it and now I'm addicted 🤣❤️ PC
Guys don’t get angry at the devs for their limitations on what they can do, this is all GW restrictions that they have put for Focus Entertainment

I really don’t see how it would be so much work putting older mark armor especially since in pvp the chaos marines already wear the older marks and are the same size as primaris.
Even Titus wears a mark 7 at the beginning so they have the models, even if u want to pull the “lore accurate” card most space marines aren’t primaris, so playing a non primaris at the very least in pvp would make sense and if u say “well there smaller so it won’t fit in lore wise” meaning the chaos marines are the EXACT same size and model just different armors.
Idk it just feels like such a cop out to say it would be hard to do especially when most of it’s already in the game and it would still make sense lore wise, plus it’s a video game who cares bend the rules a little not everything is going to be 1 for 1 with lore and that’s ok.
If they don’t add older marks the customization is gonna get very meh especially when there won’t be a whole lot to work with.

I noticed you can have a left deathwatch pauldron, but there’s doesn’t seem to be any loyalist emblems for the right pauldron. Unless I missed it
I do hope that once armour options are added for chaos, if you've already unlocked the loyalist equivalent of a particular armour slot, you have immediate access to it as chaos. That seems only fair.
As four old armour marks, I think keeping the height and animations identical would be absolutely fine. Adding a Halo Infinite-esque "armour core" for firstborn cosmetic options would be the best compromise.
They should fix the servers and the tyranid sniper shooting through walls first

problem with adding the sisters.. first they are smaller and will have a smaller hitbox in pvp so they will become probably the meta for pvp cause sisters are 5-6ft while marines are 7-8ft. so if they are going to add the sisters then probably only make it story base.

New enemies for Tyranids are probably the Norns and Maleceptors imo in the second story mission as well as the PVE mission upon arrival if you look closely you can spot them on the bridge early on not when they rush at you just when they march towards the chapel you will se Maliceptors marching there its just my take though not confirmed
This is a whole lot of "No!" from Oliver! New faction is a big ask as it isn't coded into the game... fair enough. But also 'no' to weapons, 'no' to fresh executions for existing Tyrannids (they get stale watching the same ones 30 times per Operation), soft 'no' on the Dreadnaught, delayed 'yes' to Chaos skins, 'no' to Sisters of Battle, 'no' to customisation for heads, 'no' to older armour, 'good idea' without commitment to auto changing perks in Operations based on weapon, 'no' to old maps, 'don't know' to assisted kills, and 'no' to team takedowns. This game made a killing, so they'll be working on the new one because money. In the meantime, cosmetics galore and a few QoL issues addressed for this game. Just enjoy it for what it is, but expect little beyond Space Marine cosmetics, it seems.

IMHO the game has been out for a single week. They might say yes to all this stuff as time goes on but right now their focus is 1 performance 2 qol features and 3 sticking to their roadmap... like they might add all this stuff in time but they just finished their dev cycle and are switching into live service mode making this stuff makes time...

The game is definitely pve based and thats definitely where the money is. The pvp is ok but there are better options for pvp games out there. They should focus on pve in my opinion
We have plenty of pve horde games the pvp has good bones just needs some attention. i am so tired of pvp in games playing second fiddle in games like this.

I think what would help give the PvP part better is statistics. Lika a page where I can see my avarage k/d, number of times I was first killing an enemy etc.

More is coming needs to actually be more. There is really not much to this “full release” game and not much looks like it’s coming. Honestly just looks like a battlefront release where they have the rest of the game, but going to hold on to it to release as DLC.
I would like more pve content and some tweaks to make it smoother and more fun. The guns aside from the melta and las fusil feel like BB guns not bolters. Some of the classes are definitely more viable than others. But I think the pve could really improve longevity of the game with more content
I have strange suspicion that modders would do wonder in creating mods that add substantial contents needed in SM2 and executed pretty quickly too if they were allowed to...

i love the battle sisters but i BEG they do NOT add them as playables..it will destroy the point of the lore....the point is to be Space marines..not a bunch of girls pretending to be space marines...they would fit in space marines 2 as much as squirrel in power armor..
❤ - PC. A DLC expansion like what Capcom did with MH World - Iceborne/ MH Rise - Sunbreak would be a good way for adding some playable units from other factions and new maps/missions. It could also help the dev team do some experiment/s for future plans for the sequel.
People that moan about lack of female characters in a male focused lore game can go play Battle Sister VR, where you play a Battle Sister, no option for a male character. No one complained in that game and it got very high reviews.
The woke community seems to be ruining things and finding offence where none is intended. Custodes got Woke Nuked a few months ago. If you are upset that a set lore piece doesn’t let you play a different character that says more about the player than the game, I’m male and never been upset playing as a female character in games. There are lots of cool female characters and armies in the lore, most are badass such as the Sisters of Silence, they are super cool.
Enjoy the game, but don’t find offence where there is none, don’t force your beliefs and lifestyle on others and don’t cry when you don’t get your way, grow up.
This combined with HD2, its good that I built a new PC. Now, back to games ❤♥
Do we know if they are addressing the server connection issues. This past week has been tough in terms of playing with friends in PVP & PVE. I try to load in I get stuck on the “Loading Server” screen and then it disconnects me and that’s a loop that goes on for like 30 minutes
❤ - PC. One idea is to have Chapter/Legion bonuses for PVE. E.g. bonus damage for Bolter weapons when you choose Imperial Fists, bonus melee damage if Blood Angels etc

Be nice to play a different class with a different Traitor Legion than being forced to be just the one... Because try as you might to make a Night Lord look like a Death Guard, it looks stupid. I really do hope they add more to the Campaign easily, one of the best I've played in a long while.

Not 1 person cares about having sisters in this game.. Please just work on making more Operations mode missions and newer drip and stuff, if you wants a female or u are a female, color your Marine with some girls colors and keep it moving, we'll get the idea!

These horrible servers make me wanna throw my controller through a window. I HATE having to go back to the MF'n main menu just to re-enter to connect to matchmaking.
We're not going to get any new content or features added to the game while there's still an active player base.

Dont thay have separate animations from the tutorial for older mark 7 armor at least? Probably not animations for all class stuff and executions but theres already a base. And it makes sense to have that armor and it looks good. Also the beaks.
