    Bro thats the masseter muscle not the lateral pterygoid. Pterygoid is deeper and better palpated internally

      Hey bro, you are correct in that there are fibres of the deep masseter overlying the lateral pterygoid, however muscle tenderness where I am demonstrating is indeed frequently caused by the lateral pterygoid in patients suffering from bruxism and TMD. This presents as pain the the area beneath the zygomatic arch as demonstrated early in the video. But we go through intra-oral palpation at 2:00 👍🏽

      Mines super tight and its causing all sort of problems I can barely get my thumb to it as it kinda rubbing on my back teeth.
