Hey bro, you are correct in that there are fibres of the deep masseter overlying the lateral pterygoid, however muscle tenderness where I am demonstrating is indeed frequently caused by the lateral pterygoid in patients suffering from bruxism and TMD. This presents as pain the the area beneath the zygomatic arch as demonstrated early in the video. But we go through intra-oral palpation at 2:00 👍🏽
My tmj always feels like the tooth ache on the side it clicks and pops is this why?
I've been watching your 'RUclips channel and I'm impressed. I'd love to share some growth ideas with you
Thank you Dr Rick!
My pleasure Stef ❤️🙏🏽
Bro thats the masseter muscle not the lateral pterygoid. Pterygoid is deeper and better palpated internally
