I'm seventy years old and have been riding since 1964 and I'd love to have a Vulcan S. You can have a lot more fun on a smaller light weught bike than you can ever have on a large heavy weight bike. As long as the smaller bike has the right powerplant, and the Kwasaki Vulcan S has it.

Went and looked at one today. Went to look at the Ninja 650 and this caught my eye. It was a Matte Olive Drab and Black colorway. It was super comfortable to sit on and, I felt stretched out and relaxed. I'm 6' 1" 220 and this bike felt right to me. Now I don't know which I want because I also really love the Ninja. I had to leave to think it over.

      Take what you like.
This and the ninja are completly different.
Vulcan is a relaxed ride. Imagine yourself riding your sofa. You need to be careful when turning like all cruisers.
Ninja is an aggressive ride. The complete opposite.

Not to ruin your fun and not sure what your state your from so it can vary. But, for me you can get a ticket for doing a launch for excessive acceleration. It’s roughly a $125 dollar ticket.

The Vulcan s is 500 lbs so it’s not light for a 650 cc bike. The ninja 650 is 80 lbs lighter and I am not sure where the weight went to. Still the Vulcan s has a very unique look for a cruiser.

I test rode the Rebel, liked it a lot around town but not so much at 60+mph.
Then I rode the Vulcan, liked it just as much around town and it's so much more capable when cruising at speed.
Recommend the Vulcan unless all you do is city riding.

Fix the mirrors before you start riding them and make sure they have fuel in them before going out the driveway. It doesn't matter what you say Sean...there is not replacement for displacement...get over it already. You cannot advertise an in town 650 for a big Highway Cruiser, that is just false advertisement. Camera is on the wrong settings and the video is blurry and have a typical salesman giving his worthless opinions. I would never buy from this outfit. Every auction bike they buy is just the best thing on the road, ya right. Plus he calls himself a Christian and doesn't even know what that entails to be Born Again Jesus' Narrow way. Oh now it's a cafe bike when earlier it was a cruiser, just like comparing it to cars is like comparing apples to asparagus. Whatever Sean, ramble on.

This guy posts on about every video. I’ve seen his videos with his “sermons” and he seems like a cult leader to me. Video looks fine. Never says it’s a big highway cruiser but says it rides decently down the highway. If you have such a bad opinion of the guy then don’t watch his videos. You’re just a troll... So what the dude isn’t a mechanic. Hardly anyone is nowadays. Lay off and go prepare the kool-aid for your next “sermon”. Maybe go to seminary while your at it too.

If it’s an old bike and had carbs it messes them and the ports up . A 2 dollar gallon of gas could save hundred of dollars as well as stop making u look like a fool when he makes these videos .

So what you're saying is that I should trade my 2016 vulcan s in for the cafe?

  • @jasonlong5292
    @jasonlong5292 Год назад

I bought a 2021 vulcan s cafe because of your videos. Unfortunately as a first bike it was definitely fast enough and handles awesome but it left me yearning for that v twin rumble and sound. My wife fell in love with it so i let her have it and bought myself a Yamaha Raider but wrecked it one week later 😢 . Insurance totaled the raider and i bought a Suzuki boulevard C109RT and its an absolute MONSTER. Please do a test drive and review of The C109RT. You have done lots with the M109R but none with its Big brother C109R.

Most practical and indicative power test is back shift till yah can red line at 30/40 and run it out to 75 /80..or whatever your tolerance for potential speeding tickets is .. the power that counts is the sudden hard jump. Not the standing clutch dump. Let’s be honest most giggle time happens with buds, suddenly doing a quick dash or jumping around a looky Lou string of cages. From 45/50.

All I did was type in "Vulcan S" and this video was one of the first that popped up even though it's from almost a year ago! I'm over here shifting up at 3-4k rpms on my Vulcan S when I can get up to speed so much faster and shift at around 6-7k??? Thanks!!!! I'm a new rider who just purchased a 2020 Vulcan S and am still learning!

    Hi everyone...
I have a huge doubt for my first bike:
Kawasaki Vulcan S 2019 with 7tkm with Falcon exaust for 6500€ or
    Suzuki Boulevard m50 (intruder m800) 2008 with 20tkm with Vance&Hines for 4500€
Soo, the newer one with good brakes (ABS), really young one, low milleage, more power and speed or older one with little bit worst brakes, more mileage, from my point of view better sport classic musscle look, niiice V-twin sound, less power and less money...
Sean, I would be very honored to hear your opinion. Everyone, Thanks on any advice.

Its just what you prefer more, you need to go sit/test ride them both, but in the end its just what you prefer more from a bike. For me, vulcan s is really cool concept but i prefer big v-twins for mutch nicer sound than vulcan s (in my opinion) and low end torque for cruising, i am not one of those who just wants to ring out the sh*t out of bike. But that is just my humble opinion, my next bike will be suzuki m109r

The vulcan s is on two different fastest 0-60 cruiser lists. They say 4.2 seconds. 15th and 17th place on the different lists. Not bad for a 650cc. I have allot of fun on mine and get compliments every time I ride.

  • @cristiannicks3145

I recently discovered the Vulcan S and now i really want one. I drove some bike over the years while not having a permit so i ride like i stole it but now, older age. i tend to be more careful and civilized so i got a permit class A (Europe, Romania class permit for bikes) and try to buy one.
I dont't care about 0-60 or top speed statistics not on car nor on bikes. I feel them irelevant and missguiding. The parts between 40 and 100 kph are what matters. When you enter some highway and you need stability and predictive power there is where the engine must show its true value.
To wrap it up, thank you for your ride and thoughts and hope for a full walk around review. :)
Cheers and safe oards out there!

Just picked up a 2015 in bright green today!. Rode for about an hour coming home. Getting used to the forward placement of the foot pegs, but it performed very well. The size is perfect. It certainly has the acceleration I was missing in my 250. My only gripe at all is seat. It's the mid-reach, but it kept sliding me forward, creating chafing and pressure on the area just under my jewels. Looks like I might need to check in to the extended-reach seat. Anybody here have experience with that?
