Wow racing a component (2:50) I mean OK but a competitor might be a better idea. Have to say I love the look of the Cafe and the way it's set up looks like a good position to ride in.
Puig has a similar windscreen & it's a little taller for better wind deflection. Plus it's a LOT cheaper and doesn't require those clunky fork mounted brackets. I love my 2017. It came with a booster plug installed and engine braking isn't bad at all. Unfortunately 2021 and newer bikes supposedly don't accept the booster plug. I guess in that case you could do an ECU flash.
Even though I have owned larger bikes in the past, my budget just won't allow it right now, so I would have no problem purchasing one of these ...at least I could ride!

So I'm looking for my first bike I can ride on an NZ LAMS category, and luckily, Kawasaki offers these with a restricter to make it LAMS compliant while Im on my learners. Ive been driving fast cars for a while, but after realising my wife in her diesel Mondeo can keep up with my RX-8 (because of traffic, 100kph speed limits, safety, blah, blah) I want something to ride to put a grin on my face every time I go out. The Vulcan looks like the bike I want and is a reasonable price. That faring though, does it REALLY matter if Im NOT going to be blasting 200kph down the highway? Will the naked bike be fine until I want to push a little more? Would that little gap around this cafe faring make the bike whistle?
Hi.Just wondering I am 5.11' and 120 kgs.I am considering buying one due to an aling back.Whould I be fine on this bike and how does it perform on a steep road or up hill?
Sub-three seconds! I'm guessing at 4.1. Let's see. 4.71 and 4.38. Not bad for a 650, and anyway 0-60 doesn't matter so much. Top gear roll-ons are more important.
Question: I'm 6'2" and about 340 lbs. I'm quite broad, but obviously fat. Am I gonna make this thing want to kill itself or will it still perform ok? Obviously not as quick or fast as someone who is 180 lbs.
how much do you weigh i know your taller than me i'm 6 foot even and 250 ish pounds just wondering if this would be a good first bike for me my main concern is how big i'm gonna look on it size wise
I'm a veteran rider who hasn't had a bike in a few years.. My last bike was a z1000.. I have been seriously thinking about buying one of these but I'm kinda worried its not enough bike for me..
Marky mark and the bunky funch I’ve been riding for a while, but there was a time when I didn’t have a bike, for like 5 years. Knowing I was rusty, I bought a used Suzuki Intruder 700. Awesome deal, $1,000 and rode it home. Yes I had to do some maintenance to it. Tires, brakes, fork seals, battery and bypass that annoying and troublesome clutch safety switch. Then, I rode the wheels off of it and when the 700 wasn’t enough anymore, I traded it for my 09 Super Glide. In my mind, if I drop the $1000 bike, no big deal but to just jump on a big Dyna after all that time not riding seemed like a suicide mission to me. It was still a huge jump and it took a season to get used to the power and weight of the bigger bike. I feel like I did exactly the right thing. Buy this bike (or similar) and knock the rust off before you jump on the Billy Badass skoot. No reason to turn yourself into a greasy spot as you learn to ride again. Safe riding sir!! ✌️😎
Hi guys. I’m totally interested in the white Kawasaki Vulcan S cafe but I don’t see it listed on your sight. I dig all of your videos, I watch all the time.

Todd Davis check your local dealers for new “old stock” if you want a new one. I picked up a brand new 2017 abs cafe on clearance for $6,000. I absolutely love it.
Yes it is a Ninja engine, however the engine is de-tuned for the Versys, then futher de-tuned for the Vulcan This bike is not as fast worthy as the Ninja or Versys, like the Versys isn't as fast worthy as the Ninja.....its the different styles of bike, and they made the engine better for each style. Its still fast, as you can see.........and you're rating it for a beginner, its fast enough to get a beginner in serious trouble.
The local dealer has a NOS 2015 Vulcan with ABS for $5,000. I am tempted to buy it but it would be my first bike. Not sure I want to spent that much on my first bike though.

Will the naked bike be fine until I want to push a little more? Would that little gap around this cafe faring make the bike whistle?
Just saw the 0 to 60 part now. It's pretty quick for what is, but definitely not a serious runner.
Looks like a fun bike, but that thing will never crack 4 seconds.
It has cracked 4 seconds in official tests. Just about 3.8 or 3.9 I think.
Bought the exact same bike an just love it
Hi.Just wondering I am 5.11' and 120 kgs.I am considering buying one due to an aling back.Whould I be fine on this bike and how does it perform on a steep road or up hill?
Are you selling either of these bikes?
id love one of those vulcan s and im 6'1 210 and ride 1000cc inline 4
I definitely got mine because of your videos 😅
Sub-three seconds! I'm guessing at 4.1. Let's see. 4.71 and 4.38. Not bad for a 650, and anyway 0-60 doesn't matter so much. Top gear roll-ons are more important.
My OCD is killing me.. Fix that mirror! 😂 6:20 ..thank you.
Great bike. Wish it had a 270 crank, though. Better torque and sound than the 180. Such a simple thing for Kaw to do.
will that windshield help remove some air from the chest? when i drive 105mph its a bit hard holding the wind back.
I cant even get a drivers license and yet I want a Vulcan S haha
Wow! Did you see that dude run through the cornfield backwards?
I still have a 87 ZL1000 eliminator. Love the inline 4 ninja on a cruiser.
Wish I could finde one. Looking for one of thoes or the Honda rebel 500 for my first bike.
Oh they all have gear indicators now ? Didn’t know
Hi guys. I’m totally interested in the white Kawasaki Vulcan S cafe but I don’t see it listed on your sight. I dig all of your videos, I watch all the time.
Well, the gear indicator is new too.
love the vids! keep up the good work!
Is the bullet fairing available for purchase
Gotta do an upgrade on the exhaust. Doesn’t sound too good.
I'm looking to get my first bike, and this is the bike I've always thought was beautiful, I've wanted one for years, just need to find one for a decent price
Todd Davis check your local dealers for new “old stock” if you want a new one. I picked up a brand new 2017 abs cafe on clearance for $6,000. I absolutely love it.
Great starter bike. I bought one for my wife
Yamaha should make a similar bike with the fz07 engine
XSR 700? Maybe more cafè racer but still that retro vibe
Yes it is a Ninja engine, however the engine is de-tuned for the Versys, then futher de-tuned for the Vulcan
This bike is not as fast worthy as the Ninja or Versys, like the Versys isn't as fast worthy as the Ninja.....its the different styles of bike, and they made the engine better for each style.
Thought this was bike review not a Bible quote
Vulcan S is fast for 650 cc but can't do less than 3sec 0-60 mph. It can do around 4.5 sec
That's about as quick as I can get my 2020 Mustang GT to do.
Hi Sean love the blog here in the uk. God bless. I am a new rider like the look of the Vulcan and also the Yamaha xv950 r(bolt) what would be the better for a new rider. stay close
What's a cafe bike?
Didn’t you already answer this question the first three times you did this video?
He seems to do that
Pulled Pork Come to think of it I’ve never seen a bad review of a bike they are trying to sell. Coincidence? :)
@@trippontwowheels haha, you're right.
They posted a video once called 'best bikes under 5k' and it was just the bikes they had for sale under 5k... He actually just went through the list on the website.
Pulled Pork Don’t get me wrong. I love SRK Cycles and the Beards on Bikes videos, but sometimes you have to wade through some obvious sales BS.
@@trippontwowheels I agree!
What boots are you wearing?
great review
i wonder if the Kawasaki Vulcan 650 s is available with belt drive, I do not like a chain on a street bike.
How come?
@@bikescone9068 because chains are noisy/dirty/high maintenance.
What kind of Jacket do you wear? I like the High vis on it!
I am looking into one of these for my gf. Looks like a great starter bike for her. She is only 5 ft tall. So not much has to go into adjust the height for her
If the Vulcan is for beginner what is the next level?
