The T Spark option for the GTV is probably the best option, even a well looked after one is under £5k the V6 handles less well in the bends too! Fabulous in in the 166 but too much for this little chassis.
Some great insight @robertedwards3551 I have never owned the T Spark, always heard it was a bit underpowered! maybe its the bargain buy you want as they are peanuts now. Thanks Jimmy
@@jimmyscarclub DO IT! You won’t regret it. The 95-97 GT’s have a slightly revised, softened suspension vs the 93-94s. They aren’t as sharp and nimble in the later years of that generation, but offer a more plush ride. Still handles great and the engine sound is A+.
Great car choices. I wouldn't mind any of them but my choice would be the Probe, with it's great looks and probably the rarest car in the list. I think they are very underrated like the classic 406 coupe.
I think the probe has been the most popular choice out of the lot! Funny how when they came out they were not very popular. I think they have aged very well and will be a collectors item in another 10 years. Thanks Jimmy
@@jimmyscarclub I remember Bridgend Ford in S.Wales had one when they first came out. It was in a colour called Chameleon, which changed colours from different angles and it looked awesome.
Yes you might be right now but I had 1 for 12 years and at 20 years not a spot of rust. But that was 10 years ago so the few that are left have probably rusted by now
The rear subframe on the 2g Probes is a common area of rot on these. The sunroof panel is metal and tends to develop rust bubbles around the perimeter.
Late 90s Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo, what a car, cheap as chips too. Autotrder UK have 8 available from 4-10k. I loved mine in yellow and black leather, I drove it and the GTV 3.0 and preferred the Fiat, that dashboard!
I think they look great today, especially in black or white. Back in the day they were like something from the future, they were almost too different and ended up landing in the 'quirky' category. Maybe I should buy this and use it for a mini series as most of the comments have been about it!
@@jimmyscarclub yess it would be a really good buy, I’ve seen that probe up on the market for a couple months now, and I’ve only seen one other on auto trader since.
I couldnt find a decent one for under £5k they were all too much on eBay 🤣 I'm doing a part 2 though as soon as one comes up 😎 and the calibra is in. As well as a corrado...
@@jimmyscarclub You looked at the wrong time butt. I got a '97 v6 SE on ebay 4 months ago (93000 miles and 10 month's MOT) for £1400! Needed a new header tank (sourced from Germany) and a new headliner. Downsideare that its an auto and the sunroof doesn't work. Its great!
Unless you’ve a bottomless wallet then forget about the CL600. Crappy build quality that plagued turn of the millennium Mercs along with the extortionate parts. Don’t forget the bio degradable electric wiring that will haunt you forever. Lovely car but don’t unless you’ve £20k to spend.

i had a Peugeot 406 coupe V6. Beautiful car. Wish I still had it.
A great car! Totally underrated will feature in Part two 😃
Heck yeah, Probe is finally getting some spotlight! Have had three 2g’s over here in the states. Love them. Under appreciated and overlooked!
I think I need to get one for the channel 🫣

FORD PROBE MENTIONED!!!
Couple of corrections the Mazda engine in the probe was never in the Mondeo and rust was never a significant problem with the ford probe😊
Thanks Gary for the clarification! I've seen a few which look pretty rotten for sale. So we're they galvanized?

ULEZ is about reducing pollutants, not CO2 emissions, so it's irrelevant how many cylinders it has

If you are a proctologist, then you should totally go for the brown Probe.

Agree on most thoughts but the wiring look issues were fixed by 1996
Non of them are ulez free
Apparently the CL600 has the certification making it ULEZ free, there is an image on the listing stating this
