  • This week's tip comes from a question asked by a customer. They wanted to know how to make complicated springs that went beyond the typical helical sweep; something like a hook spring. This tip talks about how to combine helical sweeps and sweeps along curves in Creo Parametric or Pro/ENGINEER to easily create complex geometry of this kind.

Fantastic thank you so much! I just now need to know how to make the end point of the spring be near the start point, to make one of those spiral light bulbs.

You can combine this with the video "Non-linear helical sweeps along any trajectory" to create the light bulb fillement you're looking for.

    Great tip there.

Good stuff and even better presentation! Is there any chance you do a tutorial on the next step: making this a flexible part in an assembly? You know what I mean ;-)
