No wild horse calmly stands in a trailer, allows you to walk up to him & put a halter on, pick up his feet, lead right of trailer calmly without bolting. He may not have been ridden, time will tell on that. But has definitely been gentled by a good handler.
Mustangs once they trust you are incredibly loyal. They are very sure footed, and have stamina. Most of all they are a part of this countries history. They helped settle this country, and fought in wars…..this mustang has had some training. He is a handsome gelding👍🍀🇺🇸

great job boys! this horse has experience for sure. who ever had him before knew what they were doing. do lots of desensitizing with his one take him around the whole ranch and let him get those experience back in again. also pressure and release with the brush around the ears on both side he should come around and get more relaxed.
Call him Smoke- keep him. Mustangs have a high flight drive due to being prey, but are excellent horses. We have a Kiger mustang from South Eastern Oregon a beautiful line back fun mare

The part where the horse lopes and pulls is what my horse does when we lunge him in a pasture so that's why we have to lunge him in a round pin. My horse is kinda like him just different breed and color. His name should be hoover.
I saw someone else comment the name Smokey quick I think is awesome! So credits the then 💯. He seems like he has a really genuine heart and he has a sweet spot I think he'll be a great horse to work with.
OK, first about the grooming, you use the curry all around his body and circular motions and then when you’re done with that, you use the hard brush to get the excess fur off. And if you can find one, find a soft brush calms them down before a ride.

I also love horses they are one of my favorite animals when i was littler for my birthday every year I would go horse riding but now i don’t i wish i still did i love riding horses it is so fun. I work with horses part time. He's beautiful & he's smart! He's quick to take ques & with a little work... & a BIT 😂 He'll get better at "Whoa" & going in the direction he doesn't like. I didn't catch which direction that was. But as I'm sure you already know, whatever you do on one side of a horse, you have to do on the other side. 😊 I feel like most/all horses have 1 side that they prefer, just like we do. This horse has amazing potential!
I had a mustang and her name was lightning bc she was a spicy girl he seems like her would be a spicy and really sweet boy and as his shell starts to grow I think he’s gonna be bold boy. I think lightning is a good name

I think that you should name him Sterling, because it means excellent or valuable and is also a shade of gray.
Sterling is also a gun brand that manufactured the Sterling submachine gun(SMG). Pretty sick.

I usually use a yard rake and a push broom gets along just fine
I use the curry in straight motions and I dont even use the other brush at all they give me no complaints
