Thanking you with gratitude and blessing this Day I find your site. For five years the Samuel Weiser 69' edition, "THE TREE OF LIFE," has been present in my modest library. For me, this book I would call the Syncretic glue or link if you will. However, this didnt dawn on my 1st read. The perspective brought so much into view..ofc after being able to follow the articulation😆 Perhaps Mr. Regardie's biggest impact & expansion upon me is how critical Psychological health & maintenance is to this Journey. This aspect along with this book definitely enhanced my trajectory. Until next time.
Lon, it’s a great privilege to hear you talk about life experiences. You and Linda Moulton Howe should tour together. Lol Her Ufology and your Esotericism would complement perfectly.
Lon makes me question my choice to back out of the Order and go inactive... He, a senior member, openly chastises H.B and D.Gunther‘s “we are the one and only“ schtick while celebrating the amazing Work of the other lineages which had to change their names and hide under other guises so not to offend The King and his Mage. There was so much about my Lodge I loved but there were aspects about H.B and Gunther and J.W. that made me feel like I was more part of a deranged sect based on all the least important aspects of a deranged man‘s life than a Mystery School which alchemically would take from the mess of that man‘s life the worthwhile gems and acknowledge the rest with sorrow instead of reverence. Seeing Lon also mock the culture war nonsense that people like J.W. so unceremoniously (and unfraternally) made such a big part of the inter-Lodge discussion was another bright moment. I, clearly, still have my issues still with aspects of the Order and do not know if I would become active again if certain changes were made (they would have to prove themselves worthy of their own prestige) but stuff like the paradoxical adherence to dogma in the 93 current is astounding to me. The utterly absurd religiosity of celebrating anniversary dates from A.C‘s life as Holy Days just is simply not “my‘ Thelema. Oh and by absurd I mean absurd: one of the last days I spent in Lodge that put the nail in the coffin for me was the day celebrating The First Night of the Prophet (he was just as much, or less, a Prophet of our new Aeon than Einstein and Bohr) and His Bride where a cartoon version of events is depicted and where the subject, Rose Edith Kelly, a women utterly destroyed by A.C‘s lack of empathy or love (yeh Love is the Law but no, Crowley had no idea what Love was, ever, unless it involved himself) is depicted as his loyal concubine. It is grotesque... I could not be part of that kind of nonsense.
