Even as a swedish redfin perch angler, I get a lot of useful information from your videos, especially the finesse and jerkbait oriented videos. Thanks for your hard work guys!
Finally broke my pb again with a 6lb 9oz on a vision 110 Tennessee shad thanks to you guys. He just hammered it and the fight was on what a day i had on saguaro lake in arizona thanks tactical bassin for all the key info to help me get that key bite
Can we get a boat video for those wanting to transition from bank fishing to a boat? Something for different budgets. Maybe just jon boat hulls/ outboard combo recommendations etc.
Thanks again guys! I was due! I knew that Wake was going to smash! They just put 400 Rainbow trout in and 600 a few weeks ago. The tactical wake in trout was the ticket!
Great help, saves time, money and get you on the water sooner than later, Greetz from The Netherlands, for us season starts tomorrow here, May 27th after 2 months of restricted artificial tackle
Awesome video Tim!! The good Top water bite is just around the corner for me and I'm super pumped for it especially after watching this video! One thing I need to get better at is frog fishing
Hey Tim and Matt. I had a question about BFS. What do you think the biggest advantage of BFS over spinning gear is? Thanks for the years of great content.
There are several advantages. First, there are no line management issues (loose loops popping off the spool, line twist, etc). Second, it's the familiarity of casting gear. Even though it's finesse it feels the exact same in the hand as all the other combos so casts, retrieve speeds, cadence, etc... require no thought. And finally they're extremely easy to cast... I'm finding with the little Karashi in particular I'm more accurate and getting more distance on bait finesse than I did on the spinning combo I had it set up on before.
@@12345B yeah if I had a bfs set up I think I’d do the same. It seems like you would get further casting distance on a spinning rod but making more accurate casts is always easier with casting gear.
Hey Tim, Great video, as always! I was wondering if you experimented with the Jackall Bounty Fish yet? Very advantageous for beginners who have a hard time setting a double-hooked frog seeing as that it has only one offset hook sitting in a pre-slotted soft plastic that floats. It also comes I a newly released, smaller size which can be fished on a MH spinning rod.
IMHO there's nothing more exciting than a top water blow up.. I love throwing frogs but my hookup ratio is not so good. I think I'm trying to set the hook too soon. I get so excited I just try to set it instantly..🤙
Love your vids guys. But did you address the best time to throw any of those, ie water temps? Or would you throw a whopper plopper in 50F water? Seems to me there would be a progression to more active baits as temps rise. Thanks
Fishing arizona, water Temps like 70. No topwater bite yet that I could find. Smallies wanted a spinnerbait and largemouth wanted a slower presentation
They definitely shouldnt do that. Unless... are you popping them aggressively rather than walking them? Most frogs when popped hard will force water in through the nose and begin sinking. If thats the retrieve you need you just squeeze the water out every couple casts but that's not a retrieve we ever use. If that's not what you're doing, I have no idea why you'd have sinking frogs.
Every Bully Wa frog I've bought takes on water more than any other frog I have...And I have tons! I officially gave up on those...never had any snagproof frogs sink
Love the multi-use baits! I sent you guys an insta message. I have 2 lure ideas that I think will change the game. Have made prototypes, and caught fish on each. And they have choked both.
It's different on all devices but below the video you need to hit "more" then scroll to the bottom and hit "more" again. On other devices you need to hit the "..." to open the description.
can yall do a bank/pond fishing buyers guide for the people who dont have a boat
💯
Yes please!
Yes this would be very helpful even for kayak fishermen
This would be dope asf
Yesss

As a Minnesotan where fishing season is closed February 28-May 13th this year, fishing content like this helps it go by a bit faster.
True. Plus still have some ice.
Same its very sad lol. Mn needs a catch and release season yr round!
I had no idea there was a time of year you couldn’t fish 😮

Top Waters baby!! Lets go!!!
The best early topwater bait is the popper 100%. They work during the 1st early mornings when the temps are warm. Blows walking baits away, literally
Great work guys!

When the top water stops working pick up a chatterbait and work it fast almost like a buzzbait but lil more subsurface! 💰
Good video! Can't wait for the top water bite up north.
Was really hoping little man would have caught one during the video 😂
Tim, terrific 👍 job on a huge topic. Thank you.
That eat @10:22 WOWZA!!!
That boy just kept fishing I love it ❤
As always, very good and interesting video. Good tips Thanks

Hey Matt&Tim Huge Fans!
Been waiting on this one! Been crushing them on my whopper poppers!!!
Good stuff tim thanks.I was on that 77.7 sb last year and the strike king pipsquek poppin perch bite cant wait to do it again.
Missed some in a buzzbait this past weekend and that’s the first topwater I’ve thrown lately
Caught couple good one last weekend around lay downs with a walking popper!
@@MooseKnuckle8 hell yeah thanks for the tip. I’ll try that

Need to add the Buzzjet as well for topwaters that cause plenty of ruckus.
Excellent as always and thanks for sharing.
I like the Stanley top toad it floats too. I’ll have to try the spro kicking frog
Good video thanks answered some questions I had
Great job Tim, simplified but great baits.
Wow, you covered it all. Topwater is my favorite as well. My deck will be covered with topwater rigged rods with a follow-up bait or two. 😊
Tim I am in East Texas we’ve hit post spring. Top water is killer right now
Awesome video Tim!! The good Top water bite is just around the corner for me and I'm super pumped for it especially after watching this video! One thing I need to get better at is frog fishing
Happy fishing 🎣 may the 4th be with you 💙
Nothing beats whopper plopper
Haha already got some popper bites this past weekend
We are about to have the spawn happen this week and next. Getting the topwater stuff ready today, perfect timing.
Tim Great information and your son is getting tall. Bassmd
I was waiting for the youngin’ to swing on one the whole video. 😂
My favorite topwater, is any lure that floats

@@midwestfischerman haha! Yeah brah
the kid in the background just like "dude dad shut up, im trying to fish" lol
RICO, thats all folks!
Awesome that your young son can use a baitcaster already.
Have you guys tried the 6th sense Vega frog? Every since I tied it on about 2 and a 1/2 years ago, It has become my go to Frog.
Will y’all be doing a night time video soon
Mr.little can you do a more in depth video on the jackal pku pku? Thank you sir
We sure can. But in the meantime you might watch last week's BFS video where Matt was catching fish with the PikuPiku among other baits.
What do y’all recommend in terms cutting the strands on frogs?
When do you throw the 3 different colors? Chrome vs bone or baitfish colors?
Do you guys still do guided fishing trips?
Have you tried the river2sea opening bell? And if so what’s your likes and dislikes about it.
Hey Tim,
I have a question what type of rod would you recommend for bigger topwater baits that are over 1 Oz.
Hey guys quick question, is there a link available for the camera used in the B-roll shots for the topwater blowups?
8:20 I can't believe you don't use frog color for walking the dog.
😮... topwater 🎉
Can there be a dedicated frog video please?
Is there a link to purchase some shirts? I’d like to support you guys. You’ve helped me a lot in the past few years. Thank you
Thank you!! There sure is, it's the last line in every video description. It's also right here: bit.ly/38YpPIz

When i lived in Az for 7 years the colorado river frog bite started usually mid april or may.
@@northernbassalliance1442 yeah nothing on top yet. Probably really soon though
I have never seen topwaters work for me until you can see active fish rising on the water.

How the heck do you twitch poles like that ?
When is your son going to debut his first video? Inquiring minds want to know...😁
Don't know why no one is saying this so I'll say it. The shimano whirl pop walks better then it pops.
My Berkeley Choppo gets more bites than any other topwater. Beats my whopper plopper!
LUCKIEST KID EVER !
We all dont own boats bruh.
30 minute video.... and the poor kid didn't catch anything.... what did you see him up with?

That buzzbait/plopper combo is the dumbest bait I’ve seen in a long time. it can’t plop if it’s under water. that makes zero sense.
I had some huge blowups on that whopper plopper buzzbait last year
