Mummy Sola had her kids in my secondary school. Whenever she would come for visiting day, she always brought extra food for kids in the sick bay whose parents couldn't make it down to visit them. She is a wonderful person and truly a mother.
Yes, her twins went to the Bells in Ota with my daughter. If we late go visiting day, my daughter is already sitting with Shola and her twins daughter looking after my daughter until we get there.
This woman is so pretty pretty and stunning, and I love her a lot. Those days, Rachel Oniga and herself were the most amazing and funniest women ever. Kudos to you, mum😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm yoruba but can we appreciate Teju shows' attention to details when it comes to translating yoruba. He captures the essence & emotions of every sentence and carries the non-speaker along. E kuu'se takuntakun egbon Teju
This is my story as well....I remember crying and consoling myself that am doing it for the children.....I walked 40minutes to another bus stop on slippery Road to see the bus just leaving so I stood in -4 degrees for one hour. Alot of water has passed under the bridge...my children joined me 15months after. Very soon we will rejoice
This is one of the best interviews I have seen on RUclips so far. This interview was full of WISDOM for we the younger ones coming behind. This video needs to have a million views cause this is a Life Master class on its own. God bless you ma Sola Sobowale…you are really a gem. Thank you Teju for bringing her. God bless you ❤

Indeed A great mother and Parent!!! Listening to Mummy Sola made me think of my parents and the numerous sacrifices they made for my siblings and I, God bless and keep them as they eat the fruit of their labour. Also, the way Mummy Sola spoke about Success,as a Young lady in her mid 20s I can only thank God for the opportunity to encounter this message at this time. I am definitely applying it to my life , business and Parenting life when i get married. Thank you so much Mr Teju for this timely interview. God bless you!!!!!
Love the way mama was proud to be a good mother❤ God bless all good mothers all over the world and may we live long to enjoy the fruit of labour in sound health
Wowwwwwwwww. Deeply inspiring. This interview really gave me joy. Teju, thank you soo much for doing this. You really don't have to but you do. You're probably going through a lot yourself as an immigrant to the US but you keep showing up here for us. Thank you soo much.
I salute her courage and philosophy of life. I will say, matter-of-factly, that she's the epitome of who has the mastery of her trade in her pockets. That, itself, is the reflection of her personality and professional character.
I remember that hard-cover ledger.....olden days alajoo used it too, my mama sef used it.... They do not make Madam Sobowale's type again.... Wishing you all the best, Madam. Home training is key....
Wow so mummy is actually from ondo state. Thanks for bringing her on this podcast . I can’t believe i shed tears while watching this 🥹 may God strength her more and more . God bless you TEJU
The thoughts and words of this gracious woman of substance & wisdom are deep. My love and respect for her is beyond words. She is the Proverbs 31 personified! She is sooooooo different!
This interview made me shed tears. She is indeed the definition of a GREAT mother. I thank God for His grace, favor, love and mercy upon her life. God is AWESOME!
She is a legend in movie industry and this great people you need to be celebrated because they are one of the best Nigeria great India won best of way and we always appreciate you ma aka king of boys
Thank you so much@Tejubabyfaceshow for the Deep dive, and of course the Wisdom nuggets at the end of this video. It is well said. Watching videos of well known, established, rich and famous Nigerians who have left their comfort zones and everything to start all over in the Western world has been a lot of consolation to me particularly. It tells me that soon, someday I will be alright. There are those times I ask myself if I made the right decision to leave everything and pack up and leave, but then I remember my "whys" and it propels me. Regardless, it's not easy especially for some who had to make two big moves within two years...your videos and the experiences of these great people have strengthened my resolve, I mean seeing that Mummy Sola Sobowale did all those survival jobs just makes you feel like, it's OK, you'll be fine. And the nuggets at the end of this video is all the strength I need right now. Thanks a bunch.
Sola's late mum (Mrs Olagookun) was really a giver, she was in same school with my mum at St. Anthony primary school in Akure, ONDO State. She once came to our house one day to briefly see my mum, Sola's Dad drove a Peugeot 404 to our place that day. Children raised by old school teachers are always different as they were well trained. God bless you Madam Sola Sobowale.
You are truly the king of talk. I enjoyed this like pounded yam and efo riro. Effortless, and true connection with your guest. Kudos to mummy sola. I can actually relate with everything she said as Scottish weather is unforgiving. She is a living Icon and deserves to smell her flowers when she is alive and still active. A toast to you Mr Teju. Only real OGs will remember your work in Diamond ring.
I was just thinking about this lady 2 days ago, reflecting on how she moved from being popular in Nigeria to being quiet in the UK, and back to being actively popular in Nigeria! I remember meeting Sola at the OHTV offices around 2013. I recognised her immediately and greeted her. She responded positively with a smile. Both of us were sitting alone on a pew within the entrance area, where visitors were required to wait. She cast an image of someone who was seeking for help, but who was naturally a nice person. I remember feeling all those years ago, like she was not being accorded recognition. That image never left my head. I remember being excited when she returned in Wedding Party Today, she is back!
Teju, I can never forget the mother n son relationships between u too in diamond ring. It was so real that it's stocked in my memory until today. Love u too so much ❤❤
The last couple of minutes of this production is very profound! Thanks Teju for those words. They are indeed re assuring. And thanks to Aunty Shola , your journey is very inspiring
Oh my God, thanks for being a Light Uncle Teju. Thanks for pulling out the deep seated wisdom from this interview, about the “grain of wheat”. My life is in that phase at the moment and I cherish interviews like this. P.S I have been a follower from the days of STV every Sunday night when we you delight us king sunny Ade music 😂😅. I cherish this moment and cycles. Thanks for coming back with these interviews despite your relocations and other commitments. It means the world to people like me. Cheers🥂 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sister Sola, my beautiful sister thisvyour story is totally mine life here in UK. I too live in Welling London Uk about 20more mins away from Woolwich where you said you travelled ftom to work in Richmond. sweet brief wisdom filled interview, I have never met her but I like her person, since 1998 when I saw her in a movie called Bolanle. God willcontinue to bless her and Teju for this great job.5😍🥰
There is nothing wrong with carer job, but she was a celebrity a big one for that matter. Carer job is low income job, she humbled herself to provide for her daughter.
@@temidayofalana1582 She was a celebrity in her country not the world. Obviously she wasn't that big because the money wasn't that big. When you leave your homeland you do whatever you can.
But she also mentioned that there's dignity in labor and she chose to do it for her kids. She never in any part of this interview mention that carer job was bad.
The Queen of Nollywood. I only came across this great actor when I watched King of Boys. Both the film and the series. Sola was such a powerful phenomenal actress on Par with the Hollywood greats King of Boys was really special it was such an authentic Gangster movie but from a Nigerian perspective She held the film it was simply amazing. I've since seen her in other movies where she just blows you off the screen. Now listening to her back drop I can why she is just a powerhouse and she commands the screen. I would argue that she can more than just mama or grandma roles she has the talent to play almost any role. You just need great writers who are bold enough and daring enough. We salute you Aunty Sobanke I pray I meet you one day.
The sacrifices of mother's is so under rated, God bless you ma and to all mother's, may you all reap the fruits of your labour. ❤❤❤ Take your flowers 🎉🎉🎉
Aunty Sola, thank you for this interview with Teju. You're absolutely right and correct my dear. Our Children did not asked us to have them. Congratulations for everything you did for those Children by sacrificing for their futures and for yourself. You're a mother in a million. I can not wait to see more of you on Netflix. With God, nothing is impossible. Many more years of laughter, enjoyment and surrounded by the Children and grandchildren by his grace. Thanks for doing this Teju, love all your podcast and greetings to the twins and their mother.
