I so appreciate this video. My husband did all of these kinds of things to the cars but I lost him November 7th. Maintaining his corvette is just something I feel I have to do. These videos are life savers and I’m becoming a mechanic! Who knew? 🤔🙏🏻❤️
Sorry for your loss. You'll see after watching my vids and plenty of other ones that you'll be able to fix many common issues. Some might still require someone else to do it, but there's tons of info out there so you won't be taken advantages of. RUclips, Corvetteforum.com and internet in general has more info than you'll ever need. Good luck and have fun with it like he did 🙏
Glad the video helped. Simple upgrade that makes a huge difference at night. You'll be surprised how bright these are. Thanks for watching and good luck 👍
Awesome! I appreciate the detailed info and before and after shots. I'll be doing this soon on my C5 Z06..cheers! Keep the informative videos coming :)
Great video but I can save you some time....when I replaced my tail lamp bulbs to LED, while they are out of the car you can reach the back up, license plate and rear side marker lamps without having to remove them at all! I love the LED's on my C5!
YellowVette04 sad thing is some expensive cars are still installing crap lights to meet budget. I actually thought about doing a LED swap on my riding lawn mower. Lol.
Nathan Copeland the price keeps coming down as they advance, so no reason for all cars not to have them now. Can't cut the grass and put in nice stripes unless you can see lol.
Nice! Way cleaner light. I just ordered a set from your link. I have the diamond cut Adjure backup light housing on the way already. Should be sharp when done. Good video.
Awesome video Dave!! I got my red led lights and did the footwell, and rear trunk area lights. Thanks again for the how to!! I'll do a short vid showing the mod!!
I went with a pack of (10) 194 led bulbs. There's (4) interior bulbs, (2) tag bulbs, (2) in the front corner housings, (2) rear side markers and (1) glove box that all use the 194 bulb so you can choose where to put the other 8 if you want to get a pack of 10.
no issues with replacing reverse LEDs. If you change taillights or front directional lights to LED then you'll need a hyperflash harness to resolve any hyperflash issues.
Thanks for showing how to do this.... But wow, I was hoping to see the performance of the finished product and maybe a comparison of before & after. Kinda anticlimactic. ; (
Did you watch the video? I have video of what the standard bulbs before looked like at around :44, then video of the LEDs after at around 11:20 and pics showing the comparison at 11:36.
@@YellowVette04 Wow, you are correct obviously. Yes I watched the video up to a certain point, but then skipped to the end to see what the end product looked like and I must have skipped over that part, lol. I so sorry, my apologies, must be getting old. I did think it odd no ta-da, here's the results obviously, guess i needed to scroll the video better of get some new lenses ; ) Thanks again for the video, yep those are just what the doctor ordered.

I did this the other day with some cheap Amazon 2057 LED's. They're BLINDINGLY bright now, I love it!
Just as good as the more expensive LEDs on other sites. They certainly make it stand out when you hit the unlock button from across a parking lot.
Thank you for the video. I will be doing the same once my LED’s get delivered!

AwesomeC5 good luck with the mod. Thanks for watching and the support.
Dave. I just added a set of these to my C5. I followed your link. They are working great!
That's great to hear. They surprised me the first time I saw them at night. Price is better than a lot of other sites.

Big difference. LED lights have changed the game. I did an entire LED swap on the ‘15 Explorer. It just needed it. Lol.
Nathan Copeland LED has come a long way in the last few years. Gives each car a refreshed look, IMO.

Thanks. You'll love em. Lights up the whole parking lot at night. Thanks for watching 👍
And def man ive been putting your info in my videos too appreciate the support!!
CORVETTEBOYZ thanks for the support as well.
Thanks for the help and the links!
Glad the vid helped. You won't be disappointed. These are super bright and I couldn't be happier.
Yes! That's a big difference with the reverse lights.
Much needed. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for this. I have been wanting to do this for a while.
You'll like it. Makes a huge difference. Thanks for watching.
Definitely needed if you have tinted windows, well done!
Rusty Zipper you're right about that. Usually have to roll the windows down to back up, but these make it easier.

Rico_Suave1851 thanks and glad I could help you with the interior lights.
well done!
Full Octane Garage thanks.
are you going to change out your tail light bulbs for leds if so will you do a video of it adding the load resistor
I probably won't. I'd like to change the taillights to the radio flyer halo taillights. Anything is possible tho.
Man maybe i should change mine they look waaay brighter
Will definitely change the way the rear looks. There's some cool LED options for you C6 guys to replace the taillights and side markers.
Have you upgraded the tag light bulbs to white led also? If so which ones did you go with? I want to get rid of the dull yellows on mine there also.

This video shows (4) interior bulbs and the link in the description is what I used all over the car. ruclips.net/video/jnqAysYSfiA/видео.html
Did you have any problems with other messages after replacing the bulbs? I've seen videos where people have to add a balancer after using LED's.

No dielectric grease on the bulbs?
Doesn't hurt to add some
It's 3057 or 3157 right?
I don't see 2057.
you said they are a 2057? the link you posted on here takes you to Amazon to a 1157?
2057 is in the description of the bulb, it fits a bunch of sockets. The actual size is 2057 but I guess this particular bulb fits many different ones.
My question is are they 2057's or 1157's I was about to order a set I click on the link you posted and it only show 1157 there's no 2057
When I click on the link it says 1157 2057 2357 7528. They're 2057 bulbs.
Thanks for showing how to do this....

every c5 iv seen has screw in break light yet mine don't have screws
That's weird. I too have seen all C5s with screws in their brake lights.
@@YellowVette04 could they have been changed to some after market one that replace the whole unit behind the bumper?
you didn't say what that yellow cloth placed inside while cleaning was .
Adding weight to the rear for better weight distribution.
Get a GRIP u are cleaning that part of the license plate like people are gonna be looking at it
Well aware. Thanks for watching and commenting
Nice video! I need to get behind mine and clean it
Thanks man. I knew it would be dirty but it was dirtier than I thought. During my spring cleaning, I'm gonna do the same to those dam taillights lol.
YellowVette04 yeah I plan on really going through mine here in the next month or so seats out and all haha
