I know this won’t help either of you, but I honestly enjoyed both stories equally. You two are some really good down right, genuinely down to Earth, honest fellas who fully demonstrate what American pride is all about. You guys put your lives on the line for all of us, and I’m extremely honored to say the both of you and those like you have my upmost respect.

Edgar's story sounds like a great movie, Chadd's sounds like an addictive Netflix series. Episode 1 ends with the monkey heading up the tree with the pistol and the viewer can't go to bed until he sees if the monkey carries out the mission. The epic battle with the coon is sure to kick off episode 2 with some high intense drama.
It's a must for both warriors and legends to finish their perspective novels! Love to see the comradery from you guys! Respect and honor

Navy SEALs look damn cool, but let's never forget the 1968 film _The Green Berets._ To this day, the mental images that come to mind when anyone thinks "Green Beret" are *John Wayne* and the *1911 pistol.*

This channel rocks... I haven't watched a single video that I haven't enjoyed or gotten something truly valuable from.
Second video I’ve seen of you guys, I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in so many years. I’m “that one” that’s questioned what do I do now that I’m retired? What’s my purpose in life? I’ve seen many of my peers(battle buddies) switch paths without skipping a beat. But then there’s those few that just aren’t able to adapt, due to injuries, depression, etc so many to list. I fall into that category, I’ve buried about a quarter of our 22 member Team, and ONLY 1 was due to “natural” causes. It’s difficult when you were “untouchable” (well in our minds we were), to be back in the home life (society).
I’m definitely subing to your channel……. Awesome stuff, keep up the great work

Well first I was amazed to find out Edgar could actually write, lol. As for the two stories, I will forever be wondering what happened to that monkey, or why you had a monkey and a hound dog for that matter, Chads offering gave more "imagery" as I visualized trooping up the hill with a monkey on your shoulder, so theres that. Edgars offering harkens back to the days after i retired wondering how I would parlay my "skill set" into a living after the Army, not in the movie industry, so I guess its a tie for me on this phase. Cant wait for the next episode.

Easiest way to answer this: Better at what? SF does things no Navy SEAL would ever dare do and there are some elements of SEAL work that most SF would say hell no to as well. We need both and thank God we have both! : )

I used to think we were the best till my MARSOC buddy introduced me to a few Ranger buddies of his. These two have a similar persona too. Cool dudes 100%. I used to date the army recruiters daughter and he was SF with multiple tours to Nam. I was too brainwashed to know I was in the presence of greatness at 19.

Edgar wins the Ernest Hemingway award for best imitation of Hemingway's precision and word potency. Chadd wins the Joseph Conrad award for metaphorical and raw imagery associated with grand storytelling. Its a tie!!!!, depends on which writing style you prefer between two Noble Prize winning authors, Ernest Hemingway or Joseph Conrad.

I loved both stories I just wished you guys had more time to finish them, due to that it is hard to choose a winner here.
They both were very awesome, however Edgar's had a bit more comic relief. At the end of the day we are all on the same side and our side doesn't have losers only true patriots. Love ya both!

The difference is the training that develops the teacher. Both are 100% total concentrating to produce warriers.

Both Sly and John Wayne played Green Berets, no offense to my son who is thick in NSW, my entire life the Green Beret was the ultimate warrior, it's only been since 9/11 the Navy started marketing the SEALS but my youth was all Green Beret. I just love all you guys who do special forces, it's a level of commitment very few people are willing to subject themselves to. Great videos, thank you both.

"Hollywood doesn't know the difference between a Green Beret and Navy SEALs"... that part got me because of how true it is. I have several SEAL friends, all great guys, but every single one of them, even if they never openly say so, love the fact that civilians don't know the difference between the Green Berets and SEALs. Green Berets can and do nation building, including training a larger force from just a team of 12, Army SF are the Army's favorite term, "Force Multipliers", while SEALs are elite and very deadly warriors.
That's the difference between a Quiet Professional and the Navy's premiere Special Operations Force and is a large reason why you don't see many Green Berets writing books, because it might be too complicated and analytical to make for a good story and if a higher up gets mad about details about any particular operation gets out in a tell-all book. Well guess who is the one that's going to be in a world of trouble for giving out details of an operation, an operation that may very well be very classified. That's right, the Green Beret that wrote that book. So let the SEALs write their books, unlike the Army the Navy actually wants their stories to be told and heard.

Who needs a dang book? The Green Berets have a song! And that song, The Ballad Of The Green Berets” was number 1 on the charts in March of 1966. The month and year I was born.
