- The very first Qualitywings 787 video for the channel today - we take the 787-8 with United Airlines flight UAL606 from Denver (KDEN) to San Francisco (KSFO) with some magnificent scenery along the way. We also get to see some awesome new features included in the Qualitywings 787.

That was a "decent" landing...actually better than decent....Very nice video...
I think, although the FMS saids 6.00 for trim, thats why your rotation is so sharp. However, I do find myself that on climb out, its very pitch sensitive.
Love the 787. Such a beautiful aircraft to fly. Never looks bad from any angle.

Hey bud you can input the total fuel and ZFW INTO the FMC direct, instead of the dispatch slider's.
You can, however unfortunately this doesn’t actually change the fuel quantity for the aircraft at the moment. The Dispatcher is currently the only way to set the fuel properly, however hopefully it is something Qualitywings will simplify soon!

mid flight and you have to deal with it?
The flightdeck shadow is a bug with PMDG aircraft in P3D. Also if you have dynamic lighting on and the AA set too high the lights make a huge difference to frames. Turn off dynamic lighting during the day or if flying at night turn down AA.

What an awesome video and aircraft. May i ask, what is the documentation like this this aircraft please ? Does it include a tutorial flight document please ? Sounds silly but that is how i prefer to learn. Thanks for taking the time to record and upload.
Thank you very much for that it means a lot! In terms of the documentation I personally didn’t have much of a read - I prefer to watch other Flight Simmers and learn that way. I think they do provide some form of tutorial in there though, it’s definitely worth the price you pay for the aircraft :)

Thanks very much! I’m not sure I’m afraid as I don’t use FSX now and I don’t own the A340 aircraft - I can’t imagine there is much difference between the simulators though :)
How do you get the 787 to a quick turnaround state similar to the pmdg short state ?
For me it was just a case of starting from cold and dark and then switching the battery on with external power connected as well - I then saved the panel state and it works as a short turnaround state for me

My autogen loads very slowly when i am landing! Any recommendations? The scenery doesn’t load until im at the gate, like the surrounding houses and buildings. My specs are: GTX 1080, 4.2 GHz , i7700k 16 gb ram. Idk if i need to change something in the cfg or what
I would say the best thing to do is to delete your config file completely, or back it up and let the sim create a new one. Then slowly start tweaking your sliders until you get the perfect balance of quality and performance :)

Yes I use Orbx Scenery as well - everything that is in the Spreadsheet is used in the sim :)

On the spreadsheet you will see that Orbx FTX Global and FTX England are used - I’m not sure which spreadsheet you are looking at but the addons spreadsheet definitely contains Orbx

how do you tell when the passengers are boarded? How do you get the notification of it?
GSX usually tells you that boarding is complete.
What add on are you using for kden and how do you get the airport on your display?
I'm using FlightBeam KDEN Scenery, and I use a tool called Aivlasoft EFB V2 to see the airport and charts etc...

I’m not sure how big the file is, but you should be able to find out from the Flightbeam website or wherever you purchase it from

I would definitely say it's worth the buy. It's a lot more than just ATC really, it also helps you plan SIDs and STARs to use as well, and calculates your route for you etc... Hope that helps! :)

You have quality on your videos but I also would like to see you doing the correct procedures just like real pilots do. I know that you might not be a real life 787 pilot but, there are some checklists on the internet. That would be cool because that is why it is called a Flight Simulator.
Also if you could let the sounds of the aircraft to be heard in certain procedures like the start up and the takeoff that would be fantastic on your videos! Of course your video still good anyway. A like from my side. :)

Why the plane is not following the lnav path accurately?
This may be due to the size of the aircraft. With larger air frames it can be common for the plane to struggle to follow the LNAV path as easily, as it takes longer for the plane to turn and perform manoeuvres than it would for a 737 to do the same for example. This might be more of a problem with more complicated departures etc...
Is the 757 as good as the 787 and is it p3d compatible??
I don't own that aircraft I'm afraid so I have no idea.
Does Chillblast ship their pc worldwide?
They do deliver to a variety of countries, but they recommend that you email them at sales@chillblast.com for a quote if you live outside of Europe.

Hey Yorkie! Another great video in an awesome aircraft! Just wanted to let you know that on this website you can download flight simulation checklists for popular aircraft (the 787 is coming soon) and you can also download the cost-index database which is extremely useful. Basically it has a bunch or airlines listed and the aircraft in their fleet have different cost-indexes. It is pretty accurate and it really brings the immersion levels up. Why no HUD?
I find the HUD is more of an annoyance than an aid for me, plus it gets in the way of the scenery on landing etc... so I prefer not to use it.

I have some issues regarding the p3d v4 qw787:
I have installed the aircraft on p3d v4 not v4.2 as I don’t have that.
Issues:
First: The flap lever doesn’t work, when I try to extend the flaps, they extend from the outside while the flaps lever is still in its place.
Second: LNAV doesn’t work properly, it isn’t following the flight path.
Third: No cockpit sounds, I can only hear the engine sounds.
Plz fix these problems or else im gonna refund the aircraft
I'm not entirely sure what the issues could be as I personally haven't had those problems. I would try mapping a key or button on a joystick to the flaps - that's what I have and it seems to do the trick fine.
Alternatively I would get in touch on the forums or via the product support as I am not sure what the problem could be.

I’ve spent $2000 on a Gaming Rig just for this Simulator and i can barely run it at 25-30 fps, what’s your trick?
