Why don't they clean the bathroom? I feel there's a gap in the market for that. Whilst the 'cleaners' 'clean' the plane, other cleaners could deap clean the bathroom, it's such a tiny room!!
Paying an avg of $300 per flight with let’s just say 100 passengers is ~ $30,000 revenue. People deserve a, at minimum surface, cleaned plane…what the hell?
Well, it cost an Airline roughly $10,000 per hour of flight for the newer planes. It cost $33 per passenger per flight hour. The more people the cheaper though because the numbers divide more. It's $4,000 per 120 passengers. So based on your estimates $300 ticket would probs be a 5hr flight 4,000 x 5 is $20,000 leaving the airline with a $10,000 revenue
The window cleaning is something I’ve never thought of, until you mentioned it!!! Now that I’m thinking about it, oh my, it must be covered in active germs…. and things! I used to work at the Orlando International Airport. I used to talk to the cleaning crew. They told me they have like 5 mins to clean the plane as they have to run to clean the next one. So they don't clean much. They just make it 'look' clean

I deep clean my own seat even if I think they already do it lol. I clean the whole seat with wipes, the seat belt, the window, the arm rest, head rest, around the window, the tray table, the tv screen, even the back of the chair in front of me. 🤷🏽
When I was taking a Dreamliner to South Korea, I had to use the restroom. As I stepped into the restroom, my shoes were sticking into the floor and it sounded like I was removing a piece of tape with each step.
I worked at SFO cleaning aircrafts and afterwards as a dispatcher for United. During peak summer season you have over 100 flights in your 8hr shift and they all come in at the same time one after another nonstop. There is no time to do a detail cleaning. Depending on the aircraft size and destination, the smallest aircrafts Embraer 175’s 3 minutes on and off airbuses 8-10 min, Dreamliners 15-30 min, 777’s 30-50 min sometimes even less. This included cleaning and full provisioning (removing previous flights dirty duvets, pillowcases, amenities and trash fully re supply the outbound flight is not an easy, especially if there’s only a team of around 6-8 cabin cleaners.) It’s not the Cabin cleaners fault it’s the operation.. no one in the operation wants a delay to fall on them.. airline(pilots, flight attendants, ramp agents, gate agents) vendors (catering, cleaners) depending on destination the cost per 1min international delays started at $1,200.00 back in 2019 idk now.
I flew with Jet2 last summer, we had to stay on the plane for assistance and I can tell you they don’t have cleaning staff, it’s just the cabin crew and they have a strict turnaround time to clean up.
Fun fact: if you ever fell like ur going to throw up, ask a attendant for one of those wipes then smell it it will help because the liquid in it helps with sea sickness and stuff like that

I didn’t know wipes was offered when boarding a flight. Flown delta several times and Air France, was never offered a sani-wipe. Just a friendly Hello and a snack.
Yeah I can attest to that clean job... and to be honest it's a time thing. 98% of the turn arounds have to be done in 30 min. The cleaning crew consists of 5 people and they have to dump the lav while cleaning up the cabin and 4 other flights on deck. (Well that was when I was working at DEN)
I don't know if you covered it in another vid, but one thing for sure... Flight attendants, waiters and strippers are alike. Don't fall in love with them because they were nice to you. They are nice to you because it's part of the job.
Totally believe all of this. I have a compromised immune system and every flight I've taken, I've ended up sick after. Not only is everything not so clean on an airplane, there are so many sick passengers and crew on each flight. 😔
That's one of the reasons I take my seat cover when I fly. That seat is home to hundreds of peoples dry ass sweat. I ain't sitting on that. Did that once, never again.
That's disturbing. But I totally believe the bathrooms hardly get cleaned. Flight attendants aren't responsible for cleaning them. If a plane has been on multiple flights in a day, the cleaners probably don't get in there all day.
I used to work as a Concierge cleaning crew. We cleaned Charter flights only. Floors in the bathrooms and galley's got a real nice cleaning. Charter flights get more time on the ground for proper cleaning so... You get what you pay for.

Revenue and profit are very much different things… so subtract the airlines costs from that number and you’d be correct lol
it kind of depends on the airline, such as singapore airlines thst regularily cleans the toilets for safety reasons
I have gone to Spain every year of my life for 17 years and I have never once been given something to clean with when I step on the flight

Do not get tea or coffee that requires water from the plane's tanks. Only can or bottle stuff. Because those tanks are never cleaned.

Every time I fly, no matter what airline, I always find garbage in the seat back pocket, even during Covid.

I wear socks and comfortable quality sandals on flights. That way I get the best of both worlds. Can move my toes but keep my feet safe!
