Lovely rendition of a composer well worth hearing more of.
I noticed that you have a 5th course on your instrument. Was the 5th course very common on the Renaissance guitar--maybe as it faced growing competition with the Baroque guitar?

Hello, where would I be able to find the original manuscript online? I tried MLSP but it only has the first 2 books, many thanks! I'd love to perform this in my masters recital

This is a great piece and nicely played on a five course baroque guitar. Just sayin'.

Thank you. Actually the only two intact surviving renaissance guitars are 5-courses, from Belchior Dias. This guitar is a reconstruction of it, known ad the Belchior Dias model. Moreover a Baroque guitar is about twice the size.

Thanks for that info about the 5 course you're using. I wondered why the pitch seemed high for a 5 course ...
There are so many great pieces for renaissance guitar. Thanks for sharing!

La pièce est renaissance mais la guitare est une guitare baroque, la guitare renaissance n'a que 4 cordes.

Renaissance guitars usually have a total of 7 strings on 4 courses.
