Living here in Baguio, I have yet to try the Farmer's Daughter. Don't miss Tam-awan Village. It's another great place to see and experience our local ethnic culture. Always looking forward to your next vlogs. TC and keep safe!
Geez, Marshall, these most recent videos of yours sure made me miss what I used to do a lot during the pre-pandemic days as I would go to La Union and Baguio a lot, more often than not, on a whim. I have yet to check out Farmer's Daughter though...As for your "we're in the clouds" experience, I had an unforgettable one with a girlfriend decades ago when Camp John Hay was still a functioning US Army fort. There was an ice cream parlor there where my girlfriend and I bought ice cream cones. After getting the frozen delights, we sat on a park bench. And while we were lapping at the ice cream, we could see this thick fluffy formation of clouds approaching. It actually engulfed us while we were eating ice cream and that moment was just surreal. The clouds passed us by leaving us rather dampened. Oh, those times when Baguio was still relatively cleaner and less populated...Enjoy the rest of your stay there, and keep your great vlogs coming! Keep safe!
One of the most memorable (and nostalgic) experiences I had with nature in Baguio was watching below and being flooded with white clouds while walking along the PMA Flirtation Walk overlooking Kennon Road many years ago haha.
Also mine. PMA… looking through the museum and then seeing the clouds in the mountains over the cliffs of PMA and then sitting on the bench watching the soldiers do formation. May uncle used to be a soldiers thats y we knew the PMA
That is very nice of you enjoying Baguio City ... I think I will try that too Farmer's DAughter's REsto someday. Quite busy these day coz of work may once we got our semestral break. Have a great day and night in Baguio City.
I subscribed because I am a native of Benguet and I love your vlogs about Benguet! Watching your videos from home is heartwarming. Kinuday is salted pork then roasted in either guava leaves or eucalyptus/alnos leaves.
Hi Marshall. If ever I have a chance of visiting Baguio I will surely visit this eatery. I was smiling when you were saying the names of the native dishes. Cheers.
Try homestay ( traditional Igorot hut) in Batad , Banaue too . They serve traditional food too. Or go down farther north , Vigan & Laoag , taste Ilokano food cook traditional way.
Solibao is also good to try there in Baguio especially there bibingka good for breakfast with sagada coffee or meryenda.. And try the breakfast buffet at New town😊 stay safe
Another tremendous episode . Gladly again visiting my home town. Try to visit slaughter compound restu @ slaughter, magsaysay. Baguio city. A lot of food delicacy inside the compound
If you go back there, try the Pinikpikan and Pak-Pako. Just stumbled upon your channel, love seeing your stops throughout the city. I so miss the food! :) You'll have a better view of the fog up in that garden village.
woah the restaurant is really packed, must be very popular! the kinuday baboy looks yummy,im filipino, I love anything pork! We can see the mist / Fog.. I really miss seeing that! 😀☺
And further down the road from arcas yard is the via von joy restaurant. Check their fb page and you will be amazed at the scenery.. eating home cook style food while enjoying the beautiful scenery.. A sun set time is worth visiting the place.. 😍
You should order Mix Mix (Tinadtad), Pinikpikan, Pising Tan Kinuday next time. The best! Try the camote cake at Igorot Charm Café. Surprisingly good! Few steps frm Farmer's Daughter and just right across Tam-awan Village.
It's Bashers here. I changed my name. I'm very intrigued by those two meat dishes most specially you said it's lean meat (because I don't like chewing fat). The color of the salad really looks nice. Would be nice if they can make that sausage taste like the Dinuguan dish. That would really be inviting.
Their cakes are also famous. Really good yet simple. A celebrity once called their Ube cake the best she ever had. Also when you order coffee, it's the size of a large bowl and they hand you a whole cart of milk to add to it
Based from the food you ordered, I say, you're quite an adventurous fella. Blood sausage is common around the world and each country has their own version. In Europe, they add oat into their version. At any rate, I am glad you're enjoying Baguio food and delicacies. Dinakdakan could have been a choice but Pinuneg is good as well.
glad you are enjoying yer stay here in baguio ahahha, most of the visitors tend to avoid the cuisines due to how and sometimes a lil bit bizarre way of preparing the dishes, it is the local ethnic way
Good day sir, if you're still in Baguio, visit the Mang Ed's Bakareta in Sto.Nino, along Magsaysay Ave. the have special Bulalo (Beef knuckle soup) Kalderetang Kambing (Goat stew) and don't forget their best seller, the Bakareta (beef stew) their food is amazing, you should definitely try it.
Balajadia kitchenette you should try also sir marshall it is located in magsaysay and solibao's putobombong with hot batirol it is really good. One of the best in Baguio
Solibao resto is along Session road. I agree their puto bumbong and bibingka are must try. Farther up from Farmer's Daughter and Tam a Wan is the Igorot Stone Kingdom. Interesting place to visit
Visit Pinderella’s Kitchen… I love their wine and coffee. The food is amazing. Desserts are fancy. it’s a nice place and good food but you need reservations… it’s in Tuba Benguet . It’s near BenCab Museum. It’s not a typical restaurant where you can order and walk in anytime. They usually offer it as venue with food and drinks package. Usually for events. But maybe they can make some arrangements for you. Since you are a Vlogger. ☺️🙏🏻🌟
Good day, Marshall. I have always followed your Vlogs and Facebook. Just a query, when you come back here in Australia do you have any plans of opening a Filo restaurant? 🙂
I thought that was quite expensive. Haha been to Tam Awan (Tum Ah wan) village and they have Igorot huts where you can sleep and eat in their cafe. Do go across and check out international artist Ben-Hur Villanueva's place Arko ni Apo (who died 2 yrs ago RIP) for his wonderful art sculpture (he made the 3 meter "Ang Supremo" sculpture in BGC and another beautiful sculpture "The Risen Christ" in Calaruega, Batangas) . His son follows his craft after his footsteps. And of course, another famous int'l artist Ben Cab (you need to take a taxi to his art complex and wait for you) which has a cafe and several floors of art exhibits.
Living here in Baguio, I have yet to try the Farmer's Daughter. Don't miss Tam-awan Village. It's another great place to see and experience our local ethnic culture. Always looking forward to your next vlogs. TC and keep safe!

Good day, Marshall. I have always followed your Vlogs and Facebook. Just a query, when you come back here in Australia do you have any plans of opening a Filo restaurant? 🙂
Hahaha no, no plans my friend.
Another outstanding foodie vlog Marshall. Keep on vlogging as you always deliver quality informative stuff about the Philippines 🇵🇭 ✌️👍🙏❤️

i wonder what your blood pressure up there is, ive read somewhere it increases every 100 meters increase in altitude
Really.
For a new restaurant to try .just ask their specialty 🙏☺️ so no lame taste 🙏☺️
How did the blood sausage compare to the classic British black sausage if you've tried it? The Filipino version looks smaller but more moist.
It was nice but pretty bland. Mainly salty.
