Good job FEATR on doing a thorough research on these food places. These are legit restos/eateries where a Baguio local like me would consider as a place to find that authentic Baguio flavor that we always miss and reminisce about! These are truly Baguio gems that we treasure! 💙💙💙

It’s not bro there are just type of “people” like us who preferred this type of channel and style. So you can say we’re just not part of the general demograph who’s allured by these vlogs showcasing places who either paid them or just hyping up a mediocre food.

Omg! He made you walk up session road then up to assumption, then, down general luna road, through shoppers Lane to get to the miners hang out! Now, that is a real local food tour! Baguio is indeed walkable. I think that's one big thing visitors should learn from this clip. Thank you for the feature of genuine baguio eats.

This is why research is important, thorough ones. I think it’s what’s missing in most videos now, since lahat na pwede magvideo and upload, I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but it’s just refreshing to watch videos like this. As much as I want to gatekeep most of the places they featured, they deserve to be introduced to more people, to better understand and feel Baguio’s culture. Han nga ajay SM lang ti pappanan da.
Great job, FEATR and Erwan! 🫡

Thanks for featuring the OGs of Baguio food scene and not the commercial tourist traps and restaurants often featured by other content creators. Kuya JJ is one of the best photojournalist in the city and his photos date back to the 80s as well as the most harrowing shots I have seen during the 1990 Killer Earthquake. He is definitely the best guide if you want to see a different perspective of a cultural melting pot that is Baguio. Good Job, Featr team! ❤❤❤

Lived the best 5 years of my life while in Baguio during college. I'm working overseas now, thanks to this video I suddenly felt I could breathe baguio's atmosphere again by reminiscing through your clips! I remeber watching indie films in cinematheque which I think got transferred in Ililikha. I left Baguio while the cinema was still a work on progress, I'm so happy to see it finally done, and it looks so cool! I remember painting murals around the city and getting a chance to meet Kidlat Tahimik. It's such a vibrant community.
I thought I could get over Baguio's nostalgic aura, but everytime I see clips showing the food, people and the culture, I start to remember every good memory I had in the city, with a bit of tears haha. Can't wait to go back home ,❤. Thank youuu FEATR!

This kind of feature/documentary showcases the legit Baguio food (past and present). I think the charm goes on through culture preservation or culture-embedded items that are clearly shown in the food and different forms of art. I was looking at Erwan's reactions when he was served the food and I am more than happy to see him deeply appreciating what is served and how it is served. Most (not all) bloggers and vloggers who are just into views would show unappreciative reactions. They wouldn't understand since they focused on their perspective of what and how it should be, instead of accepting the fact that it is really as is.
Kudos to FEATR, Erwan, the Writers, and the Researchers who did this video!
As a Cordilleran, this is something authentic and unpretentious- an understanding of Baguio City as the melting pot of the Cordillera Administrative Region. I hope you would go on creating these vids for the rest of Cordillera and the country! There are so many underrated food that needs to be revisited and rediscovered by the younger gen!

just wanted to add that katipunan and most of the restaurants in that part of the city..(I don't like to mention, but around the dangwa terminal area), during the old days, is where they serve dog meat. I dont know but, ung sabaw ng karne ng aso, the taste, the smell..it's unique..you cannot compare to others like pork or chicken.. kaya may time talaga na hinahanap hanap ung lasa kc iba talaga..pero wala na..dati pag gusto mo makatikim, jan sa banda jan ka pupunta...

Being a native of Baguio, this video, its tone, theme and style speaks the nostalgia I feel for my hometown. It captures the images of Baguio I vividly remember whenever I think of home. It's become busier than ever, but it holds its charm and the proud culture for those who call it home. Man, I am so excited for your upcoming episodes on Baguio City.
Also, you might notice that the city attracts not only swarms of tourists but also students from neighboring provinces...since you're on a food adventure, might I suggest you check out some of OG the food shacks that students have been frequenting (hopefully they're still there) around the university belt... my favorite being Soledad's near Saint louis University and try out their porkchop and bopis. LoL! Just ask taxi or jeepney drivers how to get there. You need to get there as early as 11am though, they sell out fast.
Anywhooo... thank you for this feature team Featr. I appreciate your artistry and work. 💜

I love seeing this documentary style of food and culture. I haven't been back in 15 years and this makes me so excited to explore more of the Philippines when I visit next. One that is not my family's POV of famous places, but small businesses and charming spots that make the city!

Love this. I lived in Baguio during my college days. Back then it was already crowded and busy, but probably not as much as now. So good to see these places. I recognized one of the journalists in Luisa's cafe as one of those who mentored me during my internship hehe.

One thing i love about Erwan is he really appreciates and respects the tradition and culture behind the meals. And i also agree with the other comments that this video is accurate and well-researched, having parents who grew up in Baguio, they have been raving about these places. Love this, looking forward to more contents like this.

I felt the same thing with Baguio when I visited last year there is something mystic with the fog and the view of the mountains that makes time slow down for you to enjoy. Can’t wait to go back 👌🏻🙏🏼

Erwan and Featr, thank you for featuring my hometown! I just realized how I take for granted that we can actually eat anytime, and all the time, all these food featured in this video. The restos and places. Yes, it is home. We are proud of our city, and our culture.
Especially our Art Community, I am a part of it. 🌸
Just a fun fact: most of our food up here is meat. Fish is very expensive up here in the mountain! 😁😁 Love this vid! Thank you again.

Thank you for walking me around. I like that you styled like a Baguio boy. Or maybe you just blend in naturally. You know how to position yourself so the featured place and people stands out. Those voiceovers in between and at the end were well written. I really heard, felt and almost tasted Baguio.👏 👏 👏

I know Erwan only said it in passing but the Pako salad made my mouth water and then become a bit emotional because back in Surigao, in my barangay where we live in the mountains, there's also an abundance of Pako and this made me so homesick. Love this video and I'll definitely visit these places if I come to Baguio city.
