I actually have a background to this game based on prior knowledge, this game didn’t just show up out of nowhere. It is in fact based on a sub genre on roblox. First, it all started with balls.rng. Which has a similar gameplay loop, where you sit and wait for rare balls to spawn. (crazy I know) This was then picked up by an Undertale fan, who created a game on scratch called “sans.rng” which grew a small cult following over a short span of time, and had a similar gameplay loop of sitting and waiting for rarer “sans” to spawn. This was then adapted to roblox, basically being the same game as the scratch version, however with actual boss fights (I’ll be it not very well made) and attacks to be collected by rarer sans. (The status of the game is also a mystery since the owner sadly passed away), and has millions of visits. Which then spawned this game, which I actually remember having a very small amount of players at one point, around 700-2k. Then proceeding to skyrocket in player count until everyone caught notice. Hopefully this gave some insight on where this came from, because I keep seeing people say it was “out of nowhere”, when that’s really not true.

I think I've read somewhere that psychologist have done a study on gambling. What they did was show the brains reaction when they win, and while they're playing and anticipating a win, and the result was the same. Sol's RNG increased their playerbase by some % when they updated the game and let the people autoplay for free, that's probably because people with gambling addictions can sit back and see if they've gotten a good aura or not. Also a good thing about the game is having players with cool auras also enhances the players will to continue playing. I think that answers the question on how can people play the game, though I don't, it's ass lmao
Watching this video made me remember arguing against a discord user about Sols RNG. His best excuse was "Why do games NEED to have gameplay?" I literally just left the argument after that, these Sol people are so stupid💔

Ah, bowls. These seemingly simple and utilitarian objects are, in fact, vessels of profound emotional resonance and aesthetic contemplation, holding within their curves not just physical matter but also the essence of human experience and creativity. Let’s embark on a critique and exploration of various bowls, their materials, designs, and the emotional landscapes they invoke. First, consider the classic ceramic antique bowl. Its surface, often embellished with intricate patterns or pastoral scenes, resonates with a sense of timeless tranquility. To cradle such a bowl is to connect with generations past; its weight and coolness whisper tales of ancient hands shaping clay, of artisans breathing life into earth. This bowl doesn't just hold your morning cereal; it cradles history, making one feel soothed and calm, as if time itself has slowed within its round embrace. Contrast this with the modern, minimalist bowl often found in stark white porcelain. Its smooth, unadorned surface reflects a contemporary ethos of simplicity and efficiency. Yet, this bowl, in its starkness, can feel cold, impersonal. It’s the embodiment of a fast-paced world where meals are hurried, and connections are fleeting. While it serves its purpose with sleek functionality, it lacks the warmth and story imbued in more ornate counterparts, leaving one feeling somewhat isolated, yearning for a touch of imperfection. Then, there’s the rustic, hand-thrown pottery bowl. Its surface is alive with the marks of its maker; its form, irregular and unique. Each one is a testament to the beauty of imperfection, the wabi-sabi philosophy that finds depth in transience and flaw. Holding such a bowl feels like a grounding reminder of our own imperfections, inviting a sense of contentment and belonging. Its tactile variations speak to the natural world, to a life lived authentically and without pretense. In stark opposition stands the cracked glass bowl, perhaps adorned with Greek lettering or delicate filigree, a remnant of opulence now marred by time. The cracks in its surface, like veins of pain, evoke a sense of melancholy, a mourning for what was once whole. It's a physical manifestation of fragility and loss, stirring within the beholder a deep, inexplicable sadness. The light catching its jagged edges throws shadows of broken beauty, a poignant reminder of the transitory nature of existence. And what of the vibrant, hand-painted ceramic bowl from a far-off land? Its colors are a feast for the eyes, its patterns a dance of culture and story. This bowl is a celebration, a bridge between worlds. It evokes a sense of wanderlust, of shared meals and stories under a foreign sky. It’s a vessel not just for food, but for dreams and adventures, imbuing the mundane act of eating with a sense of global connection and joy. Each bowl, with its material, design, and wear, holds a narrative. They are not mere containers but keepers of stories, emotions, and reflections on humanity. From the soothing calm of an antique ceramic to the deep melancholy evoked by a cracked glass relic, bowls serve as mirrors to our innermost feelings, connecting us to the tangible and the ethereal, the past, and the possible. Note - This took around an hour and a half to write.

Bro, at the end of the day games are just a waste of time. They do not provide you with any substantive value other than enjoyment. If the game brings people enjoyment leave them be. Why is your waste of time better than someone else's? Also, hard word does NOT equal success. The reason why something does well in the gaming industry (really any industry) is if there is a demand for it. Trying hard does fuck all if you don't understand how to appeal to a target audience.
Games are just a waste of time when it comes to succeeding in life games aren’t a waste of time however when your having fun because that means your making memories. Dopamine rushes don’t make you any memories as it’s practically almost the same as getting high.

literally so true Sol's RNG is nothing but a way to exploit the premium payout system beyond comprehension. I've probably thought about it like many others and pretty much everyone with a basic knowledge of how Roblox income works will know that this has been an idea for a couple years actually, crazy that nobody did it until now because, well, how do I put this... it's shitty 🤷♂️ if a man can code, he will probably make a game that is meaningful and has work put into it, and let these exploits stay on his mind, in the corner of his memory because he cares about this little nerdy platform he plays on it was only a matter of time until someone abused a feature like this P.S. , even if you can't code or can, keep going with your personal projects if you have any man, I can't code (I probably couldn't even recreate Sols RNG 🤷♂️) and I understand how frustating it can be to see money farms like Sols RNG with pretty much no work put into them blow up on the platform, but recently I've seen a few passion projects gather traction which is really good, wishing for success in your path, whatever your future plans are 👍

12:36 Hey Eclipse, you hit the nail on the head with your rant, and I wanted to say thank you for being so passionate on the behalf of small game developers. The only other way for games to get out there is by advertising, be it by dumping in hundreds of dollars, word of mouth, or by content creators playing them. I wanted to suggest, if you would like to help us out, what if you made a series where viewers could submit small, but quality, roblox games for you to play, and you can pick out your favorites to shout out? It could be a fun, and I'm sure we would all appreciate the support :)
this goes for lots of different things Nothing matters unless it gets out to the public This especially applies to someone like eclipse, who lost a ton of viewers all because the algorithm didn't want to show his new content I hope the best for you and eclipse anyways, I think that would be a very interesting idea
I'm pretty sure the bar for entry for Roblox dev at this point is throwing together a crappy simulator before making something you like in order to fund the proper project.
I genuinely don't think Sol's RNG would have had any chance in the older days of Roblox, people actually had standards back then, not the best standards, but they weren't... Sol's RNG level of standards... or rather, lack of

The main reason we enjoy these games is twofold. The excitement of chance, akin to the anticipation of finding a perfect bowl, and the satisfaction of obtaining valuable items, similar to the joy of acquiring a beautifully crafted bowl. However, as seen in games like YBA, the focus on rare skins can lead to a lack of motivation once obtained, much like acquiring a coveted bowl that loses it's allure over time. Conversely, one piece games offer a multitude of ideas, much like the diverse uses for different types of bowls, where players are enticed by the pursuit of rare ingame items, similar to the appeal of a unique, hard-to-find bowl. This quest for rare items can provide a sense of fulfillment upon acquisition. Coversly, games like GPO may suffer from a lack of updates, similar to using a worn out or unappealing bowl, leading to a decline in interest. Conversly, immersive games like deepwoken offer a captivating and multifacted experience, akin to discovering a versatile and engaging bowl, that motivates continued use. Just as i may have veered the conversation toward Deepwoken, the right bowl can significantly enhance the dining experience, much like how a well-designed game can captivate and motivate players.

I actually have a background to this game based on prior knowledge, this game didn’t just show up out of nowhere. It is in fact based on a sub genre on roblox.
First, it all started with balls.rng. Which has a similar gameplay loop, where you sit and wait for rare balls to spawn. (crazy I know)
This was then picked up by an Undertale fan, who created a game on scratch called “sans.rng” which grew a small cult following over a short span of time, and had a similar gameplay loop of sitting and waiting for rarer “sans” to spawn.
Thanks for the insight, that's pretty interesting
it was also inspired by REx: Reincarnated

I think I've read somewhere that psychologist have done a study on gambling. What they did was show the brains reaction when they win, and while they're playing and anticipating a win, and the result was the same. Sol's RNG increased their playerbase by some % when they updated the game and let the people autoplay for free, that's probably because people with gambling addictions can sit back and see if they've gotten a good aura or not.

I played sols rng for a day and thought maybe the sense of accomplishment of getting a rare item could be motivating to continue playing but after watching your previous vid on this game I’ve realized if I got something rare I didn’t even do anything to “accomplish” it!
If you need more convincing info than you already have I got arcane under 60k rolls which is apparently a “good” thing and I didn’t feel good like at all in fact I felt empty as well what did I do to get it… exactly nothing I literally couldn’t have cared any less about it I mean after all what am I gonna do with it? Walk around aimlessly? I didn’t succeed at anything I did nothing and got nothing back and most importantly I wasn’t enjoying myself I was constantly thinking to myself “Dude why are you still here? its crazy how I could've made my own version of sols RNG before it came out and gotten all of that bank.
I mean, theres probably what, like 5 lines of code throughout the whole game? Since its only 1 simple basic concept which is clicking and getting ur reward screaming that you're either a no life or you are extremely lucky?
But at the same time I'd rather not contribute to the downfall of roblox by making more shitty roblox games.
Oh did I say game? I ment non-game
the concept simple, too simple in fact. its such a braindead concept that it would never even cross your mind, but its painfully obvious in hindsight that a 'game' like sols rng would do great on roblox.
literally so true
Sol's RNG is nothing but a way to exploit the premium payout system beyond comprehension. I've probably thought about it like many others and pretty much everyone with a basic knowledge of how Roblox income works will know that this has been an idea for a couple years actually, crazy that nobody did it until now because, well, how do I put this...
it's shitty 🤷♂️
if a man can code, he will probably make a game that is meaningful and has work put into it, and let these exploits stay on his mind, in the corner of his memory because he cares about this little nerdy platform he plays on
it was only a matter of time until someone abused a feature like this
P.S. , even if you can't code or can, keep going with your personal projects if you have any man, I can't code (I probably couldn't even recreate Sols RNG 🤷♂️) and I understand how frustating it can be to see money farms like Sols RNG with pretty much no work put into them blow up on the platform, but recently I've seen a few passion projects gather traction which is really good, wishing for success in your path, whatever your future plans are 👍

YOU ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME.

Hey Eclipse, you hit the nail on the head with your rant, and I wanted to say thank you for being so passionate on the behalf of small game developers.
It could be a fun, and I'm sure we would all appreciate the support :)
this goes for lots of different things
Nothing matters unless it gets out to the public
This especially applies to someone like eclipse, who lost a ton of viewers all because the algorithm didn't want to show his new content
I hope the best for you and eclipse
