- The CHEAPEST and SMALLEST Ebike on AMAZON - DYU S2 REVIEW
This is the cheapest and smallest e-bike on the internet (that I've seen).
The DYU S2 is an Electric bike. But it acts like an Electric Scooter. Being a Bike with a 250 watt motor it's mostly legal in the UK. Ok the throttle means it's still not quite legal but you're not going to be a police target on this unlike e scooters. But is it any good? Let's find out.

hi!
@@eyeballs7744 hey gimme either an email or dm on twitter or insta. Gimme a clue here what your name will be so i don't give it to someone pretending to be you.
It’s absolutely not silly
Checkout sumbgeye videos
I disagree. I have had my s2 for several months. I take it off road and on bike trails almost every time I ride. And while the manual peddling isn’t really practical on flat ground and paved roads. On unlevel bumpy and grassy terrain
It comes in handy on trails.
I’m 5’5” 165-170 lbs
Middle aged
This tiny ebike never gets the credit it deserves.
It shreds
And as far as the 10” wheels. Find a reasonably priced off road escooter that doesn’t have 10” wheels.
That all being said. It is great for commutes and the city Mine gets better than the advertised speed and mileage at times. Depending on weather and how I ride it
I highly recommend applying proper mountain bike pedals
the reason why it's legal over a scooter is cuz ppl were getting injured for standing tall, which means more momentum for you egg head to hit the pavement, the seat on this slows you to be lower thus safer when not wearing a helmet or cheap helmet, also the seat helps you with your footing if you slip.
Love to see the little one in a everyday situation like, out the boot of a car on a train then commuting to a final destination, great review and very informative
The "twist and go" throttle is not considered legal in the UK. It is a part that allows the bike to go more than the walking pace (4mph) without pedal assistance. In such cases, the vehicle is classified as a motorbike and must be registered with the DVLA, and be taxed and insured like the other vehicles.
A nice little 'zipabout' - range/speed are adequate for local/quick commuting (remember Rule of Thumb - let the battery cool/rest for approximately 60 minutes before recharging). Main selling point for me - brakes front and rear. I'd regard it as an sScooter with pedal support, yet legally it IS a bike. Good review, tku.
Realy nice one, brings memory back from a bicicle that resembles this design 👍👍👍👍👍
Little monkey bike x
ya the Razor ePunk was cool :)
Pegas mini for cildren, that was Estern European
Would be neat to see this used like in previous video. A short road trip together to compare two vehicles, like this and for example a scooter. 😁👍
Haha I recorded a little intro to a road trip and how it would be crazy on this bike but didn't have chance to do it. One for the future though 👍
I’m looking for a similar bike like this, e scooter but road legal in the us, any recommendations ?
Would be cool to see what it would be like if you took it to London or a busy city. How easy would it be to take it on and off trains, tube and buses if someone was to use for daily commute. 👍😎
Brompton is smaller when folded and much bigger when unfolded but also much more comfortable for pedaling... Not like that thing that can barely move forward without accu
i'd like to see you range test this into the Wolverhampton swamps as far as it'll go, then try to pedal back.😜🙌
Swamps 😂😂
There’s sooooo much space and lovely greenery we’re you live 😊
Thanks. Where are you from?
Talk about keeping it secure from thieves in sketchy areas in towns. 😃 😊
Are you sure the tires are air filled? some where else, they say theyre solid tires.
It’s awesome when you get used to the maneuverability
they do need to hurry up and legalize scooter there independent scooters out there who cant walk for long this looks like a nice little bike 👍👍👍👍👍
I need to know if I can use a 1500w controller on a 500w motor and will it make any difference
The controller could supply a higher ampage to the motor to give more power but it would run the battery down much faster and possibly overheat the motor depending on how many more amps it was supplying.
I'd love to see it used as a commuter ride since it folds so nicely. How does it work as something you take on a train or on a bus?
I have a few videos on my channel, I take mine inside the shops as it's so small also fits my boot, not taken it on the bus/train yet.
I don't think ebikes are allowed on trains anymore due to a recent set of fires. At least not the on the underground in the UK.
would like to see what its like if wearing a backpack like i would for work, how much more unbalanced does it feel. 👍
Good point. It did feel a bit back heavy so if the backpack is real heavy it could cause a problem.
@@VRCauldron My solution is basket on the front handlebars with heavy stuff chucked in it. It works much better with weight over the front wheel!
Can't beat an R bike with GAS in Canada prices ... killin us here.

Id like to see it in big city with lots of people around.😜😎😋😊
Good video , can you try this on a trail in the wood :)👍
I like that idea!
On the bogist c1 pro
Interesting e-bike. How about you try to ride this while wearing a quest 2? I know you did it with a normal bike… this could be part 2! 🤣😂‼️
Oooh tempting!
Would be great on a cruising yacht.
Take it out on some trails lets see if it off roads! 🐱👓🎂🐱👓
Is it road legal in the uk due to the throttle ?
Technically not but no one will ever get pulled for it.
The maneuverability get a bit of getting used to
apart from it feeling a little back heavy it didn't take long.
@@VRCauldron I take mine off road on trails and hit spots in town
I enjoy the tight fit stuff on this bike
It’s more sturdy than the credit it gets
OI! that lady stole a trolley!
😂😂😂
Where about in brum are you? Wanna go for a beer with you lol
Wolves 😂😂
@@VRCauldron lol I’ll be 40min bro. Dm the location
Only £342 on eBay right now mate 😊
I take mine on bike trails on the coast and in the redwood forest. It also rides just fine in the sand near the water where it is packed
The s2 never gets the credit it deserves
yeah it's a cool little bike. would have taken it on holiday if we had a little more room.
at 76 years of age and not being able to walk far that would be ideal for me but my pension wont stretch to £400 ' so i hope i win one
Best of luck 🤞
Not a escooter
If you remove the pedals and replace them with foot pegs it's actually classed as an Escooter then. That's how close it is.
@@VRCauldron In Pennsylvania without the pedals you would have to register this as a moped. Would have to get a certificate of origin from the dealer to register it. Would also need insurance. Pedals instead of pegs even if barely functional avoids all of those headaches.
Also I take it out at night under the influence.
Off road. Because it’s worth it
😂😂
@@VRCauldron I see you realize the difficulty level🤙
The police will take one look at this in central London...and then slap you with a fixed penalty notice
I doubt that. Bikes are legal, this is under powered. I doubt they know or care enough about the throttle rule. Plus you could quickly disconnect it.
Scam company don't buy from them they do not send parts put and lie kn specs they just been removed off ebay I got my 600 back off them still have the scooter from the scammers
I dont think that the most people wud be happy with that trash because how do you want to carry it when its "folded" you woud always have to lift that thing or lean down to push it
If somebody realy want to travel in the bus and the metro, better buy a real e scooter or the best woud be a brompton or a bigger less expensive folding bike
Ps. How are here so much people think that this trash fold nicely... Never seen a brompton?
Thing is Bromptons are real expensive and escooters targeted by police in the uk. You're right though the handle bar should hook onto something so you can pick it up by them. I tended to pick it up by the saddle but that's not ideal.
@@VRCauldron 😊 thx
@@VRCauldron I'm wondering if this would fit in a back pack. Need 20" tires to fit on the bus rack and here the drivers wouldn't likely allow this inside the bus unless in a bag.
*360w Peak at least
What makes you say that?
@@VRCauldron 36v*10A=360w
@@xxThat90sGuyxx ah right! I got ya 👍
@@VRCauldron I think the 240w metric is "continuous" wattage, meaning it can be indefinitely maintained without generating excess heat and slowly but surely dying to thermal runaway.
@@xxThat90sGuyxx yeah I always (incorrectly) thought of watts and peak from the motors standpoint rather than what's pushing through it. Or rather I never really thought of it 😂😬
Looks like a clowns bike. Sorry. Ok for kids. Not bad specs for such a small machine thow.
That's what we said when you pedal. 😂
I am very curious about that E-Scooter. out of all the different e-vehicles I have seen on this channel, this would would likely be one I would save up for if I needed a better way to get around. It is small enough to fit on the busses here, while also being a good size for someone who is smaller than average (at a good 5"3 height) Personally I would love to see how it would hold up to other compact E-scooters as far as speed and battery life since getting to school here requires me to go down a highway, and I would want to be sure that the E-Scooter would have the battery to take me to and from my uni classes everyday. 🐐🐐🐐🛴
Better buy a real scooter or bigger one than this thing with seat
But the best woud be a brompton because that will fold even smaler than the scooter bike from the video but also much bigger when unfolded 😎
It is still illegal with a twist throttle.
