Substance abuse is an occupational hazard among comedians because most of their humor is built on awkwardness, anxiety, and alienation. It starts out as a social lubricant and then gets out of control.
Cardi b getting all quiet about the limo and then John just butting in about his nana taking him to prom was the cutest and funniest thing I have ever seen 🤣🤣
John was 'butting in'? He was the GUEST! She was supposed to be a co-host and she does nothing but dominate with her own stories, that she doesn't even finish. Sorry, but she has not an ounce of knowledge or intuition about how to interact with people.
93Jubilee I get where you’re coming from but I’m saying it’s obvious she didn’t want to continue with the story, him saying something off to get the attention away was a nice gesture, at least that’s how I think a lot of us see it.
John and Cardi weirdly have very good comedic chemistry?? Like they balance each other out so well. If they had a talk show or podcast it would most likely have amazing reviews and great content. I’d absolutely watch that.
NaniNana They are two opposite sides of the spectrum. She’s a confident bold brash person with a very specific and heavy accent. And he’s a dorky awkward person with a very precise crisp way of talking. When you find out she’s a mom and he started smoking when he was 13 you do a double take. They work oddly well together and I am here for it.
Well now there's like 9 open ended stories I want to hear. What does John do for nerves? What happened at Cardis prom night? Did his Nana take him home inevitably drunk and or on cocaine. Why is John a better conversationilist than the host? How am I going to stop referring to cardigans as cardi G's?
John & Cardi, two people who are both chaotic in different ways, are the most strange and fun combo ever. We need a part two edit: now that i know she's done all of *that* I take it back cardi needs to go
john and cardi are those friends that didn’t know each other in middle school but became friends in high school even though they’re the complete opposite.
John was so respectful towards Cardi, what a good person, he completely included her and talked to both her and Jimmy when he was speaking. I don't think there is anything "wrong" with Cardi B, I just think she's different and people don't know how to "handle" her so hey just sideline it and pretend they're better, but John was genuinely polite and interested. What a good person.
Exactly! I used to think she was just over the top and extra. Then I found out about her background and how she got famous and I realized that her persona comes from that. John did a wonderful job of making her a part of the show. :)
@@wesleyharrell932 maybe, but considering her background and where/how she grew up it could have been worse. At the end of the day she's still a good person so I don't mind.

Jimmy can be hard to take for a number of reasons. One of them is that he's really not good at this interviewing thing; he isn't really good at natural conversation.
John is such a GOOD BOI. Like Jimmy has a hard time with talking to people who are different than him, but John acted as an awesome bridge. And also WHAT A GOOD BOY WHO SHOWS UP WITH A GIFT FOR THE BABY
But all she did was mumble about nothing? I had to skip back everytime she talked to try to decode what was said. Jesus you people will worship anyone glamorous. Ooh she stole a limo once, if I was 12 and a a-hole I would be so impressed by that. That's just entitlement, nobody actually needs a damn limo, if that was a ceo telling that story you would all be disgusted.

Dr. Richard D. Stiff I disagree. How do you guys still beleive this lolll. They were literally setting each other for bits that John has done for years LOLLL you guys are like the kids who think WWE is real😂
C Hello, amateur comedian here. Stand-up comedy is actually pretty comparable to the WWE: the fighting is real to the extent that you can still get injured, but it is in a controlled setting where (hopefully) nobody dies. If you take the time to study the rules of the performance being put on, you can pick up on tiny things casual viewers might miss. I've been doing performing arts of some kind or another since I was 8. I know how to tell when a show is going wrong and how to think quickly to fix it. Jimmy is a skilled comedian when he has a script, but he does not know how to control himself when it comes to improv. John does. Cardi B doesn't have a full grasp of why people are entertained by her, but she knows that her personality has something to do with it. John is fully aware of his ridiculousness: he jokes about his insecurities and appearance all the time. He handles Cardi B’s offbeat comments well: she can't throw him off of his rhythm for long. When there’s a weird pause, he makes a comment at his expense, not anybody else’s. This keeps everyone comfortable and relaxed because, (like in wrestling), while it would be easy to go in for the cheap jab, it is much more skilled to wait until the right moment to hit your opponent with a full-body suplex.
Adriana Ruelas if your nuance gifted how do you not hear jimmys fake ducking laugh ever other sentence. It’s so brutal now like they all used to be funny when they could be politically correct but now god damn

Yes! because Jimmy definitely CAN´T! He is in so much pain here.

NaniNana They are two opposite sides of the spectrum. She’s a confident bold brash person with a very specific and heavy accent. Dr. Richard D. Stiff I disagree. An heir to the Walmart throne who simply goes to private school then back home to do homework for 18 years before inheriting billions did not earn his position in the same way that someone who grew up out of poverty to reach the same level did.
