Awsome !! Should be a fun project . Keep me posted i would love to see the progress as you work your way through it. If youbhave any queations also im here to help of you need .
@@Wrighmachining I ordered a graphite crucible but when it got here it was much smaller than I had thought. I am going to use a cast iron stew pot instead. What do you think about using the cast iron pot?
any use of those low temp (gas torch) aluminum fill sticks (from harbor freight here) - "Weld aluminum with any low temperature torch - even a propane torch. These aluminum welding rods are harder than mild steel which results in minimized parent material distortion during welding. You’ll also get a stronger weld than the parent aluminum material without flux or other welding material. Harder than mild steel Low working temperature (730° F) No flux or fumes Excellent corrosion resistance Minimize parent material distortion during welding"
Yes , welding it had crossed my mind . I also have a alu welder ,but curiouse about the alu welding rodsa . Maby one day ill grab some and play with it . Could have been a viable way . Im glad i redid it though and didnt have to machine the ⅛ gap after casting .
"Princess Auto" hello fellow Canadian.
Great video.
Thanks buddy ! Love that place but so dangerouse, walk in there with one project and qalk out wanting to build ten more :)
That is so cool!! I am about to start building a gingery style milling machine with lost foam casting...Super cool!!!!

Very cool to see this casting process done for functional parts. I'm looking forward to seeing the machining and installation!
Thank you jardamuth ! Should be next out march 15 for the machining video
That was excellent. Great result. Enjoyed watching. Cheers Tony
Tganks tony , glad you enjoyed it
Now you know that's your glue gun 😂
