My 6 pound Chihuahua suffers itchy skin allergies. My vet recommended washing his feet with a baby wipe whenever he comes in from outside. Since Remi’s itching was not just on his paws, I started a nightly regimen of a full body wash up with the wipes followed by a light coating of coconut oil rubbed into his coat well so it would also reach his skin. This treatment has not only almost completely eliminated the itching but has also turned his coat from dull and dry to soft and shiny.

Your channel has totally helped me with my pups and cats. You’ve helped me more than any vet ever has. I use the vet only for their upkeep on immunization or emergency purposes. They are very sensitive pups and would get seizures. I never got an answer from the vet that helped. Following your advice on food and acceptable snacks along with other suggestions has completely improved their quality of life and helped with the anxiety I would suffer with my babies. It’s rare now that they get a seizure. I’m a long time Patreon. I recommend your subs become Patreons to your channel! It will sooo help with the care for your pet family ❤️🙏🏻

My brother's old cat got in a fight and had a hole about the size of a quarter (1" dia) in it's front leg, too big to stitch together (you couksee the muscle underneath). The "free" vet clinic (donations only) near him the vet recommended he gets triple antibiotic cream at the store and Preparation-H... Apparently the ingredient in the Prep-H promotes scabbing over, a few weeks with a cone on his head (to keep him from licking it and reopening g it) a nice scab formed and it was healing nicely.

My vet suggested Neosporin (Sp?) for my Bengal kitty's skin when she was reacting with horrendous itching and scary seizures from various kibble brands. The dollar tree version worked just fine, after I tried it. I started feeding her tinned catfood with giblets for taurine, mixed with pumpkin puree. (Your anti-itch spray did not help at all, sadly, since I optimistically bought two). When her fur grew back and she hadn't had a seizure for several months, I gave her a serving of kibble and within hours, she seized, eliminating dry food for my girlfriend. She loves the pumpkin mixture and the cooked meat and liver I supplement with, but I wonder whether I should continue the puree.

Invaluable info. My 15yo diabetic pup Hermie would get sick after insulin shots. So he's been on o.t.c. Pepcid (Famotidine) from 2019 to 2023. He is a 40 pnd. minibulldog and started on 10mg after each shot but our vet increased dose to 1- (cut 20mg) to get 15mg before breakfast & 1ea, 20mg @ supper (12 hours apart). Generic Reglan was also added with ea dose of Pepsid. I'd buy the 20mg Famotidine at Walmart in multi packs (cheaper) and give it to him with a pinch of cold Philadelphia creamcheese...He always thinks it's snacky time taking pills. My GSD is 81 pounds so if I understand correctly, I’m to give 5 mg per 10 pounds of bodyweight but since I bought the extra strength, they’re 10 mg tablets so that tells me I need to give her four of those? I question it because the directions say that adults get one a day so why would my dog get four? 🤷🏻‍♀️

There have been problems since. Only once was his doctor in office. @@dianasimplifies lol, im annoyed the govt and etc cares. its largely a very minor minority abusing pseudoephedrine, morning glory seeds, robitussin, etc. No reason to screw the whole class cuz one student-just make an example of the students a few times. and like robitussin- the active ingredient is part of an antidepressant now too, lol. People are gonna self medicate and abuse things, just punish the stupid behavior while on the drugs more. But dont punish someone for just being intoxicated by something not socially acceptable like booze. You kick out the belligerent drunks, not the nice, stable, polite ones, lol.

PS if your dog is on anti anxiety meds or antidepressants be sure to check with the vet to see if Benadryl is ok to use as an antihistamine. My dog is on clomipramine and it is not good to give Benadryl with that drug. It completely counteracted it for my dog. I give mine Chlortrimeton for itching...haven't tried Zyrtec (which was mentioning in the video). I have to be super careful of every drug I give my anxious dog. If your dog is like is proceed with caution when giving anything. My dog becomes overly anxious and bitey if he takes just about any drug besides his anxiety meds. Just FYI.

My friend's rescue lab has severe separation anxiety but does well on the Zyrtec.

Yes. Exactly! A good sign my Lily isn't vibing with a med is... she starts lip smacking and licking her lips while putting her head up. It's my fastest heads up that the med won't work with her and stop dispensing or ultimately she throws it up. Took me years of owning dogs & being w them 24-7 to read the signs.... Best of luck w your pup!

I give my GSD one Tums tablet for stomach upset or diarrhea. Works great, he thinks it’s a treat, and it’s just calcium carbonate. What do you think Doc is this okay?

Hello and thank-you for all your advise and help. Unfortunately vet billls are monstrous and some vets "seem" to prolong prolong unnecessary treatments... I'm in Portugal and some of the meds you refer I dont fine here. But i would appreciate your advice and council for the following with reference to meds found in the EU :
    1. 20kg white bullterrier, 9 years old urine ph almost at 9. Eats proplan urinary dry kibble (hates it). Gets better the worse has lasted for past 4 years.
    2. Skin rashes, that secrete some gooy stuff that become scabs. Wash with kimiderm shampoo .... shes kept very clean, bedding, etc
I love my dog and cry because i see no solution.
    PLEASE HELP
    TY
