      @@lpquig37 The Vikings from 07-16 really didn't get Adrian Peterson much help at Qb besides the 09 season with Favre. He had terrible quarterbacks like Gus Frerotte, Tavaris Jackson, Brad Johnson, Christian Ponder, Matt Cassel and the list goes on & on. Not too mention the defense was meh majority of his career too.

      @@seanp3302 You sure about that? From 2011-2013 they were garbage. The run defense was great for that two year strecth from 2008-2009 seasons. But to say they were always great is b.s heck in 2013 they had the worst defense in the league. 2014 onwards they got better under Zimmer

      This was his first start I think. I thought the 2012 game against 49ers was a better start and I thought he would be good for a while. I was wrong. He regressed his whole career.

      keith Morgan he did make the playoffs the season after this, mainly by not messing things up for AD. Then he got hurt and they had no backup 😂 fucking joe Webb a wr & college q.b. had to play qb vs the packers in the playoffs. No chance bruh. I kinda feel like with ponder at least it would have been closer. That’s about as much credit as I can give ponder lmao

    Life long Packers fan, but I absolutely loved watching AP run, still do. Such a crazy comeback. I watched the game live where he missed the single season rushing record just barely and I felt really bad for him when they told him how close he was to the record.

    Being that I'm from their hometown, I can't recall siblings playing along side each other in the NFL. (#50 Erin Henderson and #56 Eric Henderson for the Vikings) I thought that was pretty cool to see.

      Don't forget about Finley. everyone always forgot about him. Great Tight End, just didn't stay healthy in the long run and never got many targets with such a loaded offense.

    This game brings back so many memories, Christian ponder trying to make a name for himself, AP in his prime, Greg Jennings, Charles Woodson, Mason Crosby not missing every Extra point/ field goal. As a 80% packers fan and a 10% Vikings fan this brings tears to my eyes

    Ponders last good game, because he absolutely sucks. After getter battered and beat up, he became scared, nervous, happy feet, with a weak arm. He was was one of the worst qbs in Vikings history.

    It always amazes me, when I watch some of these games from the sorta recent past, that so many good to star players leave the game without fanfare or notice. Names like Kuhn, James Jones, Jared Allen, all kinds of O and D lineman. I know if you’re an avid fan of these two teams you noticed but as a fan of another team I’m like, “Wow! I forgot about that guy. He was a good player.”

    Peterson’s run @2:30 perfectly defines his running style in his prime.. Displays his exceptional field vision, agility, elusiveness, and his willingness to always finish a run through contact. All of this on a simple counter call for 12 yards that must backs would have been swallowed up after 3-4 yards
