  • Hey everyone check out this 200 inch buck we found using our thermal drones.
    At first, we weren’t sure how big he was because of how dark chocolate colored antlers he had after walking up to the buck it was crazy seeing how much this buck grew. Thanks for all the support you guys have given us.

      Well BTR is not a universal scoring measurement. If your throwing around a 200 " score everyone involved in whitetail scoring assumes its a 200 inch score from BC. BTR scoring system was used for sore loses whose deer had too many deductions. It's not a 200 inch BC buck

    Just a suggestion: Maybe you guys could do a green scoring to see how close estimates are. Also, One thing that would be an EXCELLENT addition to your videos would be impact data, especially (but not limited to) bow shot deer. Arrow set up, total weight, FOC percentage of arrow, impact trajectory, percentage depth, distances deer move from the location it was shot, type of landscape deer was in when shot, type of landscape it used for escape, was found in, etc.
    Those types of data points will also be of great value to hunters everywhere!

    Let us know what it scores when you get it scored. I think 200 is a little high but definitely a beautiful trophy! Congrats! Awesome mass and wide spread. I think the short tines hurts the score. But mass makes up a little. But a monster for sure! Those with all the mass like that are harder to judge.

    • @jeremybolin5832
      @jeremybolin5832 7 месяцев назад +2

      When a deer has that much mass it sure does help. He probably has around 45+ inches of mass, which is ridiculous. It's hard to guess a score on this deer. Dark rack bucks can really fool you, until you see them in person. I'm going to guess this bucks will be mid to high 180's.

    • @mervjb809
      @mervjb809 7 месяцев назад +3

      Jason... you couldn't be more wrong. Mass adds a lot of inches to a rack. I have a main frame 8 ptr that scored 176 1/8". The mass is what took it over the top!

    • @josephtreadlightly5686
      @josephtreadlightly5686 7 месяцев назад

      I agree. Tine length & symmetry add to a greater score. People aren't used to that mass & the impressive nature of it obscures the real score or what it really is. The Hanson buck doesn't have great mass but everything else is exceptional. U can have an impressive 8 pointer with mass & it will be lucky to score 160". That last mass measurement of 2.5" on each side brings it down.

    • @charlievanlandingham567
      @charlievanlandingham567 7 месяцев назад +1

      I was gonna say the same thing. Deer likely has close to 48" of mass measurements. 48" of tine length and 48" of main beam. Throw in irregular points and an inside spread and it adds up quick. I'm gonna say 185-190.
