In case you do not know Marcelito's story ~ Marcelito's father was incarcerated and, at just 7 yrs old, his mother abandoned him on the streets of a poverty ridden city in The Philippines. He would sing to comfort himself when he was afraid and alone. To survive, he cleaned chicken coups for coins and, he would sing to the chickens. Every time I hear him sing The Prayer, I get choked up as that was marcelito's prayer as a child ~ for God to provide a safe place and for wisdom in how to survive. With all of that, Marcelito remained kind, gentle and humble. His character and gentle spirit add a magical touch to each song that he sings. He has had absolutely no vocal training and is self taught. He can sing all genre's of music, both male and female vocals and in 6 languages. He is an advocate for the poor and abandoned people of The Philippines and he is paying it forward.

What I find amazing is Marcelito's Italian is PERFECTION. Hell, it's better than some of my relatives, Shh, don't tell them I said that. He switches between registers and languages so fast and so accurately it is astounding.

Not as good as Marcelito of course but I'm happy of what I have and I treasure it so much. You don't have to compare yourself to anyone. We are great on our own rights . History for you Marcelito Pomoy is Filipino and has an AMAZING backstory. He is self-taught -- his Dad was incarcerated when Marcelito was young and Marcelito's mom abandoned both him and his younger sibling when he was only 2. He was adopted by a police officer, but he was a virtual orphan and lived on the streets from 8 years old on and only made it through 3rd grade in school. He started singing when he was 7, but didn't realize until he was 18 that he could do both male and female voices He doesn't speak English nor Italian fluently (which makes his "The Prayer" below even more amazing!). He was the Grand Winner of the 2nd season of Philippines Got Talent. He was also recently on America‘s Got Talent The Champions and blew even more people away with his amazing talent What’s even more impressive is that he never had any voice training at all. It’s just from singing all the time to keep his spirits up. Obviously, Celine Dion is one of his heroes.
