Mark my workds Your channell will be how you make your living in the future. The way you do these and your expirence makes it a no brain mandotory thing i have to do is watch all.of them
This is cool but because its ducking the whole process is upside down, which it has to be on the MPC. KLF and the Shamen were using the key input on noise gates, not duckers. I do this on the Force with the envelope followers. I'm looking forward to when they get all the features harmonised between them. You're going to love being able to use a drum track to control filter cutoff! Your videos are great. Thank you.
Hey thanks for watching. Yes I think KLF may have been the first people I heard use the gating technique in this way. This was way before Trance producers stole the idea adn made it their own. As with all things on the MPC, you have to use a back to front workaround haha
Nice tip. Would it work better to use Offset on the hi hat sample rather than change the midi performance by nudging it? I don't use offset much, but it can place things ahead of the beat, right? That could allow all hi hats to play slightly early I think.
Yes of course you could. Offsetting is a great way of doing it also. That’s what I love about the MPC, there are so many ways to do things. Thanks for watching.
Hey thanks for watching. Do you mean in the new Flex Beat? I haven't actually tried the plugin yet, I have been mental busy. I am hoping to sit down with it over the next week or so. Hopefully.
@@TheCratesMotel Not Flex Beat. The free Air Vintage filter that came out like with the 4 other free FX like the Expander, Multi-tap delay...etc. The Force just got updated to 3.3.0 today & now we have them too, well 3 out of the 5. I'm still testing them but just wanted to know your opinion.
@@Noise-Conductor Ah ok, I’ve not had a chance to even try the new fx in the update to be honest. I’ve had a whole load of mastering for clients the last few weeks. That’s why I haven’t posted a video in a while.
I've been wanting to try this technique in my stuff for a loooooong time! I had been thinking about it for a while. I got the idea when using one of those gate plugins. I thought wait a second, I can pretty much make any gate source I want with the motherducker
@@TheCratesMotel right on. I'm glad you showed what makes a good input with the hats. I still hadn't decided what I was going to use and had completely forgot about this whole technique until your video. My head is just swimming with ideas now and can't wait to use it. You rock my man.

All I ask is share the knowledge. Pay it forward. Thanks for watching.
This is cool..Never knew a low volume input would still trigger the mother ducker…Great to know this.
Yes I kind of found it out by mistake. Thanks for watching.
Followed from Facebook MPC House Group 👍🏽
Ah thanks man, I appreciate it.
Innovation!! There are innovators and there are biters. You got my sub bro! This is brilliant.
Thanks dude. People have to keep innovating!!
Deleting that first note to fix the glitch actually gave it a nice little feel
That’s exactly what I thought. It sounds better to me personally.
Keep making videos. Appreciate the knowledge!
Thank you dude 🙏🏼 and your welcome 🤘🏼
Awsome tip for a beginner like myself . Always wondered how to get that rhytm, thought it was done with arp. Subbed right away
Awesome man, glad to help. Thank you for watching and subscribing.
And have a bunch of rythms on pads of a program and put motherducker input on that.
Mmh, something for the weekend.
Cool as always!
Thanks for watching dude.
Nice one!
Thanks for watching P! 🙏🏼
Thanks Conan!

Nice video as always. Mother Ducker is more useful than I thought.
Yeh man, there are so many things that it can be used for if you step away and think about it for a moment. Thanks for watching dude.
Another awesome video, thanks

wow!!!!!!

could also use the filter gate plugin too - has it's own flavour
Yes of course. I will probably make a video on the filter fx available soon. Thanks for watching.
If the input sounds, this ducks the audio right? As opposed to opening a gate that's closed, it closes a gate that opens, no?
That’s correct brother.
I found the pumper on the hype plug in great for this too ...
Yes the pumper is a great plugin.
Nice how to scratch with envelope lfo and automation? I have trying work but not so good
Hey dude, thanks for watching. I haven't actually tried that. I will see if I can work it out.
Useful tip!
