I hope that the YT algorithm will work in your favor and you will reach more audience. These tutorials on YT follow the same pattern, we sample something, add drums and we have a boombap beat. Mostly zero information about what is happening apart from hitting the pads :-) To sum up, this is great material for people who have decided to buy modern mpc and work in standalone mode and have no experience with previous work in DAW
Thanks man. That’s all I want. To be able to translate my 35+ years in studios to the limited tools we have in the modern. standalone. Thank you for watching.
I’ve been watching and enjoy learning from your videos and smashed the like on them! Today I just subscribed because your detailed yet easy to grasp explanations have helped me immensely! Thank you sir!
Yes of course dude. I just prefer the main jog wheel method. I find it more accurate. I was never a big fan of Qlinks on previous MPCs to be honest. I guess it’s all about finding what’s right for you. Thanks for watching.
Great work buddy! I am new to mixing and youre work here has helped mine Youve really helped me and these longer form videos are really much better Well done
@@TheCratesMotel I really love that Para EQ in general for cleaning up things. I had totally forgotten about the PEQ's, stopped using them when Akai added the Para EQ, and automatically assumed it to be superior. But after seeing this vid I finally understand it and used it last night on some crunchy Fender Rhodes chops with some great results! Thanks again for the knowledge.
Cool stuff in here. I am a heavy user of Air Creative FX Plus, and a lot of MPC Air plugins are sometimes the same, sometimes a mashup of those. Nice overview, much appreciated. The Air Enhancer can throw in some good harmonics indeed. Can do some interesting things with bass.
I don't think I've ever heard the words beed and girth used so much. My gf kept saying "pause" every two seconds. But thank you for this. I've been having some trouble with understand exactly how to use these eq, I'm using the mpc studio 2, hoping to upgrade soon, make more of these please!
Thanks my man your a great teacher I love how you emphasize the importance of using your ears but you still inform us on the vsts and there controls 🎯 Godspeed to your channel I subbed (I’m listening in my truck because I was referencing my mix on a beat I cooked up and your song was getting me hype 😂) cheers
Something has to to light with the Akai PEQ2 & 4 that there is a problem with them on the Force. If you set the Q on any band over a value of 9 things start to go wrong. If you cut it with higher Q settings it starts boosting instead of cutting which isn't right. Added to this a displayed cut of 3db could actually be 15db or more. Not sure if the MPC's are effected. It's easy to test with a pink noise sample looped and look at the output with a spectrum analyser. But you can hear it anyway. The Air PEQ's work as you'd expect.
So which eq should I use if I’m doing just minor stuff like taking out the low and etc..I only work in standalone too so what would be the best choice? Thank you
I find for quick clean up or general EQ work the channel strip is a good all rounder. As mentioned, kill EQ is good for removing low end although I find the slope on the cut off a bit harsh sometimes, so for organic tracks like piano, vocals, etc it sounds a bit fake to me. If you want to add some character use the PEQs. They’re also good for general EQ work. The Air Para is the ultimate transparent EQ in standalone in my opinion, but is a bit heavier on processor power, so for general clean up, it’s a bit of an overkill.
Nice video ! Those arrangement of the knobs are not good from my view because I would prefer to have the Q selection per band like on an mixer. I love turn gain and frequency at the same time for the mid range for example
Anybody can recommend a good SD card for the N plus I'm thinking about getting one, but I wanna get a good size cart. It was said that it could take up to a 2 TB, but it wouldn't recommend it the highest. You'd want to go is a winter, but I was told by someone else that that in itself might be overkill. Some real help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to know what the creator suggests if possible.
Love the MPC mixing/mastering videos. Hard to find tutorials like this where the person actually seems to know what they’re talking about. Thanks!
You’re welcome man. Thank you for watching. I’m just paying it forward.
This guy is excellent! Best advice ever is to use your ears.
Youve answered big questions Ive always wondered with great and understandable detail. Awesome video! Keep up the good work...

The Air Para EQ is my favorite EQ on the MPC. Very useful and easy to use to get clean sounding mixes. I use it on every single track in the project
It is definitely the most versatile and transparent. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for this series! It's definitely a lack of MPC standalone effect explanations, deep dives at youtube.
You’re welcome dude. I’m always glad to be of help. Thanks for watching.

MPC really need to provide a visual EQ
Yes I see people ask for that on a daily basis.
Dope tutorial. You can use q links to control plugins params instead of main jog weel

Thanks dude. Great tips.

Glad i found you. That para EQ probably my favorite
Yeh mate, very good all rounder.
best explanation of the eqs in the mpc I've seen. really appreciate the info you share. your vids are very helpful. cheers.
You’re welcome dude, thank you for watching
This was really great breakdown of the EQs. Coul you make 1 on all the filters in the drum program? That would be amazing! Thanks
Thank you for watching brother. Yes I am going to gradually work through the FX in the standalone.

Great vid and in dept explanation! Btw, the Para EQ has a second page with a high and a low cut.
Thanks for watching dude. It does indeed. It’s something people quite often overlook. I use them a lot when I’m sampling into the MPC.

@@W6rr10r21 Yes they are great broad stroke EQs. Think of the PEQs as Pultecs (sort of lol).
