Normally, I totally see where you are going with paintings for the most part but watching this one I thought"where is he going with all these marks? They don't make sense!" Then just like someone snapped their fingers I saw not only where you were going with it but it suddenly arrived to an entire world going on!!!! There was distance, there was detail (without detail!), there was life happening right on the canvas!!!! This one just amazed me beyond words!!! I could sit and look at this painting for hours!!! No chooks?! Haha, I will adjust. Lovely work as always. When I visit home next I will have to make a visit to Hahndorf. Miss Adelaide, you're in absolutely beautiful part of South Australia. Love watching your videos as I often get a good does of home. I live in Sydney now, don't get me wrong there are some beautiful spots here, but there is no place like home. I to struggled with the fluros they weren't picking up your painting colours as well, plus there were downcast shadows.
Your reference to chooks brought me here. I just have to lift my eyes above my monitor screen, to look at the image of Richard's original chooks painting, he demo'd a while back. Everytime I look a it, it transports me back to my childhood days, growning up on a Poultry Farm - those days when 'Life' was so much simpler !
Love your paintings and am so happy that you are from South Australia. I will visit your studio soon. I live in Gawler and try to do art, trying for years between having my kids, for over 40 years. I have done oils, acrylic, acrylic pouring with brush work embellishment and water color which is my favorite. Love your work
