    That is beautiful! I have to learn to get over the up close mess and see from a distance. It does not bother me when looking at the work of other people. But when I do it I judge myself harshly. Thank you.

      I see an awful mess also ...but give it a week or two and it becomes beautiful brushwork!

    Thank you for showing such a great demonstration. Do you think that using a tablet monitor with through your values off too much.

      Once you have trained your eye you could use a tablet etc. Just don't expect to be able to match the intensity of colours as the monitor/tablet is back lit with electricity. Your paint and canvas is not!

    I thought you went from dark to light normally with oils.

      That is just one way of thinking. I have always been willing to experiment, and do whatever works!

      Robert does not paint in that order. I have seen some others who do.

    It would be lovely to see how you clean your brushes after each session and how to you preserve them when not in use. Mine get stiff
