Dragons Trap was awesome back when it was released in Master System, the remake is absolutely brilliant as well. I hope to see some more remakes Monster World especially
AI and WB started as the same game, but they took different paths. I used to play the AI franchise without knowing about WB's existence. I find surprising how WB received better treatment. It's more diverse, and it's still a thing nowadays, unlike the other game that only changed the formula once and it's been years without a new release.
Thank you :) The last one looks like "Aladdin". Maybe "Wonderboy" license was less expensive 😅. My favorite one will remain the first wonderboy on arcade system. Yes I'm old 😅
Here in Brazil we had Turma da Mônica na terra dos monstros and turma da Mônica em o resgate as licensed spinoffs of wonderboy by tectoy. I only found out they werent originals years later 😅
The old Wonder Boy (arcade, Mark III/Master System, and Game Gear) had Alex Kidd vibes, the new one (Wonder Boy returns) has a more Cookie Run vibe to it
Man, these Amstrad CPC ports look awful. Sad too, the CPC can do so much better than that (just look at Dragon Ninja which had actually fluid side-scrolling)
Evolution of Adventure Island games 👉 ruclips.net/video/9UiWLEsODdQ/видео.html There are other ports. Eg version Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap in Brazil was renamed to Turma da Mônica em: O Resgate (Master System). The only difference is the character you play as. Was replaced the sprites with characters from Brazilian comic book series Monica's Gang (Turma da Mônica). As well as Wonder Boy in Monster Land - Mônica no Castelo do Dragão (Master System). Wonder Boy in Monster Land port for NES/Famicom version was renamed as Saiyūki World. Visually, the game is practically not similar to the original game. So I didn't add it to the video, but the gameplay of this game will be on my second channel here 👉 ruclips.net/video/dtJqB5opHUM/видео.html. It actually is a real Wonder Boy game. It featured characters and music from across the series, it was developed in collaboration with the series' creator, and even has a "Wonder Boy 30 Years Anniversary" logo on the back of the box along with the phrase "A Legendary Game Series Returns With An All-New Adventure in Stunning HD!". It's definitely a real part of the series.
Actually Wonder Boy was released first, but since it was a SEGA exclusive game and the dev team wanted to port the game to the NES, they went to Hudson Soft and made the "Adventure Island" game. No game is a copy of the other game, they're essentially the same game, but both franchises went for different directions after the first release.
This Video was made amazing.
With the Pictures of the Consoles and the Release Years and everything.
Outstanding work. Thank you.
Wonder Boy: World's Most Confused Franchise
They did such a good job porting it to the SMS.

wonder boy in monster world will always be my favorite, even though the last boss is ridiculously difficult 😞

Used to have this on the Commodore 64 takes me back 😂
that one at the end has absolutely nothing to do with Wonderboy.
wonder boy in monster land, still playing it since years
Thank you :)

She's just a new protagonist, if the reason was "wonder boy's licence was expensive" we would never have the 2017 at first remake x'D
I play much Wonder Boy 4
Wonder Boy (1986 - Arcade)
Yeah
Asha is so precious ❤️
Here in Brazil we had Turma da Mônica na terra dos monstros and turma da Mônica em o resgate as licensed spinoffs of wonderboy by tectoy. I only found out they werent originals years later 😅
The Newer Games I'm not too aware of but I find them interesting.
This Is Why The First Wonderboy Game Was The Best
The old Wonder Boy (arcade, Mark III/Master System, and Game Gear) had Alex Kidd vibes, the new one (Wonder Boy returns) has a more Cookie Run vibe to it
Hi. I suscribe your channel. like
Man, these Amstrad CPC ports look awful.

Dragons trap 3d should of been done by now. Zelda vibes im thinking
2017 is literally the perfect TDT remake. It doesn't need to be 3D.
This Is A Refrence To Hudsons Adventure Island
Wonder boy 3 the dragons trap is bealtiful and good and better
Wonder boy one on SM III was a bit high pitched
Please, PLEASE play Monster Boy.
Wonder Boy (1986 - SH 10000)
After the 1st 3 Wonder Boy games on Sega Master system, the series got a lot worse. They should have just kept this series side scrolling after 3.
Hate how wonderboy became adventure island and went down this route.
I think you got that backwards, buddy.
no famicom no NES versions....

Monster Boy is the best Wonder boy game and isn't even a real Wonder boy game lol
It actually is a real Wonder Boy game. @@KirbsterBCalane2 thanks for the information 👍
5:53 what

Wonder Boy came first
This game is copy of adventure island
