Breen captains like "Wtf is that!?" and the other officer just goes "Idfk"
if you pay attention it kinda sounds like they're saying that through a heavily garbled filter. 'What the hell is that?' and 'I don't know sir'
First time in ST history that a captain orders a full spread of torpedoes and a full spread is actually fired.
Then the joke about them covering the spread.
The Texas class being basically sapient guns is...... appropriate.

It’s a bit immature by the show’s writers doing the California vs. Texas thing. But for the most part this show has been very good.
The writer's political bent is close to my own. In my own Balkanized America universe, Texas has degenerated into a corporate oligarchy and the most common source of problems for my players.

The Breen interceptors are incredibly high quality models compared to the usual art style and that looks really cool
Not to mention they’re actually REALLY competent for villains! How many times in trek do you see ships using PD and destroy torpedoes?

I absolutely love how LD handled the ship combat scenes. That breen torpedo impacting the front of the saucer section was epic. you could feel that impact.

Before organic crews are rendered redundant in Starfleet in this series because of this new ship class: it will either go like the M5 computer into murderous insanity, or AMIGUS and/or Peanut Hamper will take over at least one and wreak havoc until the Cerritos crew can stop it.
Nah, it can't do research tasks the way organic crew can. It seems good for border patrol but I wouldn't trust it for anything that requires diplomacy, which is Starfleet's real bread and butter.

Something never explained that despite the end of the war. The Breen attacking a federation starship would have been a violation of the Dominion War Accords.
I don’t remember who said it but someone pointed out that these are not Confederacy ships but rather pirates.
The H’Ren soldiers on the ground seemed to be an occupying ransacking force, while the Thot actually contacted the federation ship as if telling them their about ti be boarded.
Not to mention the final scene with them about to board the ship rather than outright destroy it mean one thing. These Breen wanted what was onboard.

This episode takes place 3 to 4 years from the Synth mars attacks in Picard

A lot of folks didnt like the synth plot, me included, so i'd applaud them for making a move like that.

unfortunatel lower decks is like 4 years and prodigy is 1 year before the Synth attack on mars so that may have proven to be a problem

Starfleet has kinda become really militant post Dominion war. Starships controlled by AI, have they learned nothing from the M-5 trials?
I am surprised to see how well Lower Decks is following the asthetics of 90s Trek (as opposed to Discovery and Picard). It's actually making everything even sader as theyvery obviously can follow the style of my favorite Trek period but actively decided against it for some cheap looking new asthetics (where the defelctor shiel is purple instead of blue and so on...)
It almost seemed like the people in charge of Discovery and Picard followed JJ Abrams' thought process and decided they were "too good" for the material. I mean stuff like the bridge window makes sense but the redesign of the Klingons does not.
@@Mourtzouphlos240 Discovery and picards were such terrible shows, given how kurzman had an sjw agenda , she wanted to make discovery a female exclusive series. the latest season how they tried to draw in fans by putting the old cast was just poor taste, additionally, using pahwraiths and changeling was a cheapshot at best. Apparently gates mcfaddeen was the center of attention for season 3(she has her own sjw agenda for star trek). no wonder showrunners tried to get rid of her.
strange new worlds something disc and picard is lacking, but overall i think the forced acting is so jarring for the series.
the last season of Picard was so cringe, i dont think the "old -cast" is going to save it. you know disc,picard and snw ran out of ideas when they use the same scene again and again(the 2 fleets warping in)

When Picard first met them it was basically a planet wide drug dealer for a nearby world.

1. *_California-class_** Utility Cruiser* (USS Cerritos) *~* The _California_ UCs are multi-Role starships, roughly the same size and multi-function as the _Miranda-class_ Light Cruisers (USS Reliant from *[ST(-02): The Wrath of Khan* (1982) *film]).* The _California_ UCs are the "workhorses" of Starfleet, not built for speed, firepower, &/or damage resilience, but for _Reliability._
2. *_Breen Interceptors_** ~* Breen Interceptors are essentially Destroyers, swift and heavily armed. Breen Interceptors are moderately larger than the _Defiant-class_ Tactical Escort (USS Defiant), but just as swift and maneuverable despite the larger size.
2. (4:05) *_Texas-class_** Escort(?)* (USS Aledo)...
- a.) (3:06, 3:15) ~ It is difficult to tell because of the chaos of battle and the changing camera angles, but it appears the USS Aledo to be smaller than the USS Cerritos, which would make sense since there is no crew.
- b.) *'Escort'? ~* As said, the Breen Interceptors are roughly the size of the _Defiant-class_ Tactical Escort, and the _Texas-class_ appears to be a bit smaller than the Breen Interceptors. So for now, as of [LD 3x09], I am going with 'Escort'; until we get an official codification via *Memory Alpha Wiki* &/or *[Star Trek Online* (2010-present 2022) *MMO-RPG].* ;)

they should remake this show to take place on a locomotive, they could call it "The Bad Show Express"
