I’ve experienced heat damage before and it was hard growing my hair out afterwards. Now I only use heat 3 to 4 times a year when checking to see if my ends need a trim.
Love your channel-great content! I haven’t used direct heat in my hair in 2 years. I would love to have a sleek look but I’m afraid of heat damage so I don’t. Bless you.
I had not used direct heat since I went natural 3½ yrs ago. I did a month ago...washing my hair this week...praying for the best. I used silicone products suggested by GlamTwins...
Perfect timing! I just did my first ever silk press on my natural hair! It came out beautifully, only thing it’s a little dry. How do you keep it moisturized and shiny? Thanks so much for taking the time to share this. SO HELPFUL!
@ Just Edie I use the tinest amount of moisturizer on a section of hair. I concentrate it on the ends, and use the leftover higher up my strands. sometimes I put tiny amount of olive oil over the moisturizer (sometimes not) and then I immediately put that section into a bantu knot to keep it taut so that it remains stretched and straight. I do this process quickly so the hair doesn't get the chance to revert. Sometimes I just use olive oil by itself (because it penetrates my strands). At the end of this process, I leave in the bantu knots if I want my hair wavy, if not I take out the bantu knots when finished and wrap my hair and tie it down. My hair stays straight and doesn't shrink and is moisturized. Just my 2 pence. Maybe it could work for u. 😊
Oh from yours videos I thought you were a straight natural... if you only straightened 4 times, how do you wear your hair the other times during the year?
Your lips are so lush. I love it. I love your hair too. Im thinking about introducing a blow-dry on medium - cool once a month as my hair is so coily when wet and when i do twist it from wet it literally curls and meshes together so when i have to take the twists down it is literally staring to LOCK!. I want to use the blow dry to take a bit of the coilyness away before twisting (so I'm not blow drying to very straight)
Did I peep 3 conditioners? What's the rationale? I haven't flat ironed since 2016 and I stopped blow drying for your challenge in October 2020. I have fine strands that make my hair fry and snap off from direct heat and from too much brushing with blow drying. When I return to the revair I will try with just finger detangling.
Hi i have a question. Yesterday was the first time i blowdried my hair in years and i need to wash and blow it out again for a protective style in 2 days. Do you think il get heat damage.
To be honest I enjoyed little heat damaged it helps detangling process easier for me😏
Totally makes sense!!
@@EfficientlyNatural did you used 3 conditionners at the same time?
Lol!!! I sure do. I’m a little extra but I like them all.
@@EfficientlyNatural ok, they all good👌👌👌
Same. As long as it's not noticeable.
I used to get my hair pressed every 2 weeks and experienced no heat damage 🤗 I don't even think heat protectant was used
Nice!!!! ❤️
I have been watching your videos for years! and I can't understand how you blowdry with heat and have the best head of hair on RUclips!

I hear you on that. If it’s happened to you before you have to be extra careful

@@cece_is_me6268 thank you! I’m gonna give that a try tonight!
Good for you no heat damage! Your hair looks beautiful and thanks for the tips, I'm still too afraid to try Heat.
You hair is looking good!
Thank you!!! ❤️
I’m staying away from heat for two years and then hopefully I will learn to use heat responsibly and with a modicum of restraint🙏🏼

Mostly in individual twists with my own hair.
Your hair is healthy💝
Thank you!

Hi, will you be doing another hair challenge for 2021?
I'm interested to know as well 😊
💕
Thank you.. is it me or does you video look blurry 🤔
Hey gurl
What is your porosity?
I honestly don’t know!
Oh what a relief to see your curls back! ❤️
You probably have high hair density and thick strands
Yes I do believe so
