Most people don’t understand that rape can be a death. Most people would rather not talk about it at all. But it can kill who you were, it can kill your sense of body autonomy, your sense of safety, it can kill personal beliefs, it robs you of joy, relationships both intimate and familial, and it can drive you to insanity for years or lifetimes with no guarantee of survival. It needs to be treated in a more severe way.

I’m not a parent (unfortunately ) but I feel that EVERYONE should look out for kids, whether they are yours or not, or in your care. Be it at the park, crossing a street, at a crowded event , etc. Children are so vulnerable everywhere they go, we need to help them and protect them at all costs.
Why can’t some adults just leave kids alone…? 😞

I have graduate degrees in education, having also studied school law on a graduate level. A particularly strong rule is that of " in loco parentis", where the child is actually in custody of the school, and the school is responsible for the safety of the child, no matter the grade.
I never left a child. I would make every effort in locating the parent, and then, if need be, take the child to an administrator and explain. Then the child would still be safe, and the administrator would be responsible for locating the parent.

The 2 things the mother could had done was to ask one of her close friends to look after the people at her house and pick her daughter up herself before 5 PM. The fact that the system has let us down could likely be more accurate and adjusted. 1. Historical records MUST be accessible by anyone (globally) without cost. 2. Ask yourself instead, if this woman had not stopped that perp, how many more children would have become his victims. Maybe your own child. It IS more likely she save Maybe even you!!! I voted for accquitting this woman with complete pardon. Not one day in jail. Thank so much. Don't mess with our children, ANYONE!!!

How is it that a paedophile got off scotch free, but a grieving mother who's child was violated ended up in prison for doing what the 'justice' system failed to do. Then the child has a double sentence by losing her mother to jail. It's sad but with such a 'justice' system I'm sure this happens in real life.

    • @CREOLEHEAT

Justice system has always been favorable towards pedophiles. Many in power are pedophiles. Also, men, don't like the thought of violated women or their female relatives defending themselves or attacking violent or predatory men. It's why they can never seem to take a woman's complaints serious but they are quick to charge a battered woman with murder. If more women fear jail if they defend themselves, that's more men who can abuse & violate us.

This IS a must-see! I remember the first time I watched Lesley Ann Warren was in "Cinderella" back many years ago with my little sister. She was outstanding then, and even more so now. I saw Shirley Knight on "The Fugitive" and I liked her very much.
This movie covers a very touchy subject matter. It demonstrates how much we need to watch over our little ones because evil is always present. Most important - it shows a mother's love and how comprehensive it is.
We watched two mothers protecting their kids. One knowing very-well that her son did the dastardly deed. The other mom, devastated, lost in grief, literally half-crazed over how her daughter was sexually abused and almost beaten to death. She took matters into her own hands. So who is right and who is wrong? This is a very tough question only Father God can answer...

It quite disturbing and disgusting, I recently watched a documentary on Alfred Kinsey and his view of sexual activities when it comes to children and I was utterly shocked and disgusted by what I heard as well as saw. I know that child sexual abuse has been going on for many many years and I don't know if Kinsey's reports have caused it to surge even more. Dr Judith Reisman throughout all of these years has been trying to explain and expose Kinsey's false claims. I remember watching this with my mother back in 1993 and I remember back in the mid 2000's watching it with my oldest daughter who was a few years younger than Wendy in this movie and explaining to her what had happened.

Also Many mother's boys are afraid of women as their moms are very critical towards others women & being very picky of their son's girlfriends which prohibits their sons to be men & have intimate relationships with women .These are why they become pedophilers !! @@spark_6710 The raping children (as the means) is an abomination and the end result (self gratification) is just so wrong!!!
How can a man be terrified of women??? What terrific feeling could give a grown ass man have to lure children to raping and killing them???
If they so like being in control, then why not control themselves??? That’s the biggest control they would feel, domineering themselves from this gross sin.
Lack of control in anything leads to sin (abusing, raping, killing). Should mothers know that if they interfere in their son’s life they can become scums of society???
What hatred could a mother pass to her child that could lead their son to hate women and love little children to the point of raping and killing them???
Never leave your child under protected (just like you wouldn’t do in the airport with your luggage). Don’t leave your child with no one, take them with you or don’t go. The risk is greater when they your child is with strangers of close family or friend.

I was left to flap aimlessly terrified through my entire childhood. It wasn't til I was an adult that I got quality medical care by incredible doctors that were committed to getting me proper help. Suicide hotline was kind and helpful. I found a wonderful therapist to help me. Some of us are not the cleavers where you can depend on your parents for anything. When I married my abusive husband my mom cried yet she would help him control me. She's sick and I often wonder why she's still in my life after having been grown mens fucking doll throughout my childhood. And she just kept going as if nothing needed addressing. I may as well have been raised by a 12 yr old. Probly would have done a better job
