  • Something a little different on my Channel today!
I realise I don't up-date you guys enough on what has been happening with me since chemo, so here is a real fast forward to the present day.
In July (2020) I went in for more restorative surgery, this time to repair a fistula that had appeared where all the cancer had been previously removed. A fistula is where stuff gets stuck together inside you - it's not life-threatening, but it's not ideal either. Basically, my...OK, don't read on if you don't have a strong constitution.....
    ....you've been warned...
    ----OK, here goes...
Basically, my poor little rectal stump has been left flapping around inside me (because I have an ileostomy, so my intestine is truncated and part of it comes out the front)....it's a very poorly little rectal stump because I got an infection in that area during my cancer surgery. Anyway, any time I get opened up, the surgeons always tell me how grumpy he looks down there. After the latest but one surgery, he decided to stick himself to the next organ to himself, which was my...
....ok you need to brace again, it's all very intimate.....
....which was my vagina. So THAT was fun. So they had to do an op to get the little guy unstuck from my vagina. That was in July and unfortunately I don't think it's worked, so the next step will most likely be another op to try to repair again, but probably make my ostomy permanent.
ANYWAY that's what's been happening. Here is an up-date I did after the surgery, followed by another up-date a couple of weeks after that. Sadly I was in too much pain to finish editing the first one before the second one was ready, so it's BUMPER-VLOG TIME.
    Enjoy!
