Building my Dream Workshop Part 1

- Join me as I begin building my dream workshop at just the end of my new Back Garden.
Over the last few years here on RUclips I would go across the road to my garage, hook up the power and start Machining.
But I have always wanted the ability to just walk out into my back garden flick a light switch on and start turning down some metal.
Well in this series that dream becomes reality.

Good job Joe.
Thank you 👍
Wow Joe. Great progress. Well done. Keep going. 👏👏👍😀
Thank you hopefully the hardest part is done now so light at the end of the tunnel.
Job well done Joe. Should be a great little workshop
Cheers Steve I’ve got some good plans inside
Glad to see your back at it. This is going to be a great work area. Looking forward to the next installment.
Thanks Gerald yeah I can’t wait to start moving and filling the area but first got to get the facilities sorted :)
Good on ya Joe, great effort so far. Look forward to the rest of this project 😀
Cheers Russell I can’t wait to be in and machining again.
Looking good Joe - hope you're not picking up any woodworker bad habits, you know, like, "within a mm ? - close enough"
Haha nothing I can’t lose easy enough once I’m machining again :)
Great start to the new workshop Joe, tedious but fun in equal measures as you see your new space develop........ been on that journey lol. Cheers, Jon
Cheers Jon hopefully can’t wait to get in and machining again. All the best.
Great looking space Joe, I am sure you will enjoy it immensely down the road. I imagine there is no respite with regards to material pricing at your location as well. anyhow, a great bit of work accomplished in this vid, and well "filmed". Take care, cheers!
Thanks Howder no unfortunately materials are expensive at the moment. Will have to start cranking the overtime in at work haha. Thanks for the support all the best.
Exciting times Joe, what part of the Island have you moved too?
I hope you sealed the concrete. I regret not doing it before putting my shed on it.
I’m putting an epoxy floor paint down so hopefully that will be ok 🤞🏻
@@MachiningwithJoe There are specific types of epoxy that will provide a good moisture barrier. Good luck with your build.
Another great video Joe wish I’d have had my shed done like that at the bottom 20years ago. Anyway I here’d you say you’re on the IOW do you accept visitors as I’m on the island for the scooter weekend end of August. I would like to visit and have a chat?
Hi Les glad to hear your coming over for IOW scoot ralley I’m sure you’ll have a right laugh I know I use to when I had my scoot. I don’t usually have people visit but I can see nearer the time how I’m doing as this month with house move and workshop build things are very hectic.
@@MachiningwithJoe ok Joe that’s fine I understand I hope everything goes well for you and look forward to the next video. Oh buy the way what scooter did you have?
@@LE56BEE I had a gp 150 imported from India which I restored and registered good times.
