I have been searching for this song for years.. literally years. Been 20 years since ive heard this. When i hear this i think of Brolin and his celebration routine. Euro '92 was fabulous.
amazing Denmark they were runners up and at first didnt qualify but because of the war in Yugoslavia the Yugoslavia team was banned by UEFA . Actually some of the Denmark players were relaxing on the beach before they entered the tournement in 1992
Someone called this song abysmal??? No way. This is an awesome football theme. This tournament had an incredible story behind it. Yugoslavia kicked out due to the war, Denmark step in.....and WIN the whole thing. Unbelievable.
It was also used for the Endsleigh League coverage in the mid 90's for ITV. It was the same trick ITV did when they used their 1986 World Cup theme for Saint & Greavsie on Saturday afternoons up til about 1990 or 1991 I think

Had Ireland won away in Poland (They were 3-1 up with 15 minutes to go but Poland scored 2 goals in 8 minutes to make it 3-3) England would not have qualified for Euro 92 the Irish would have qualified on goal difference as Ireland scored more goals than England in their qualifying group
Yugoslavia wouldve won this tournement if thet werent unfairly ejected and replaced by denmark,as they were by far the best team in europe at that time.

But judging this track simply as a piece of music and nothing more, it's honestly just a pile of bum sludge.

Euro 92 as well. That was the first outing. England's worst euros ever. Did not get out of the group 2 years after the highs of Italia 90.
