Any small EV would be perfect for Hawaii since range wouldn't really be a concern. But don't people actually rent 4x4s to go off road on some of the islands? This thing has no off road capability whatsoever despite its looks.

Hawai'i and Maui were places to go, but there are cultural issues that Native Hawaiians bring up which may see an end to off-roading on those islands, too. Kaua'i has frowned on that sort of thig, too. All we've got, really, is sitting in cars and playing with smartphones. THIS car would do well under those circumstance. I REALLY liked the Mitsubishi i-MiEV when it was introduced here in 2012 or so. Perfectly sized...but I personally have much more range on my pedal bike than that car had. THIS car has great range for this island. If only we could relax safety standards or designate a "kei-class" like the Japanese have into which these little EV runabouts could flourish here...

These are tourist attractions for local people to take pictures with and post on their social media. These exist all over Asia, including imitations of Montreal, Rome, Tuscany, Paris, etc.

It's hard due to political issues.😂 Recently the ceo of Nio complained that "Why US market is not open to Chinese EV maker while US Car makers like Tesla is well treated by Chinese gov." Personally I think open market is necessary for customer to get things in a good price, but trends are every country is closing their market to benefit local companies. I would definitely wait for the Vinfast. Maybe I'm wrong, but they have never manufactured any vehicles anywhere including Vietnam until now. It may be the next Nissan Z car or it may be the next Yugo.

Cute, but is an urban car, not a outdoor purpose vehicle (It´s a Suzuki Jimny clon, nothng more). Its electrical power source inhibits it to travel off the road because the close distant of the electrical pack to the ground and, of course, never, never you can tray to cross a water flooded area. There is a lot of 4 x 4 vehicles (not SUV´s) in a good condition in a very accesible cost. But the review is useful as an information source.
Suzuki is going to make the Jimny Electric, and it will most certainly get 4WD, real skidplates, a better range (those Chinese numbers means it has half the range in the real world) and be better in all other ways too
Many countries/gov will scream to address pollution issue by introducing EV, but they will either not allow or put a high tarrif on practical and affordable EV like this.
This is the kind of stuff i want not overpriced elephant sized crap that is being sold currently. Sadly even if these things would come to where i live the government would probably killit with high import tax.
I don’t get why this reviewer marks this car as “uncomfortable”. If he was going to do a real review, he should do a comparison to the Suzuki Jimny. All short wheelbase compact SUVs will be choppy, it’s the nature of the platform. This car surpasses the Jimny for interior style and comfort and it’s less money, it will be coming soon with all wheel drive, I think it’s a perfect car for most of the world that isn’t Texas
It's a fun toy car. I called the dealer in Shanghai to order one, but was told they dont carry Yep. Shanghai stopped registering too small EVs a couple of years ago (after too many miniEVs flooded the road). A shame

The EV license is 0 (vs US$15K for a gas car) but ppl (who already own gas cars but not EVs) expected that "deal" for EV license might be gone soon, hence some chose to buy a super cheap EV to obtain a 0-cost EV license (in case they be not 0-cost in the future). So basically the cheap EVs are premium paid for a call option.

A car like this would be perfect here on O'ahu. It's great for sitting in our awful traffic. There's nowhere to go, so range isn't a problem either.
